If there's a new lolcow VA, it would probably be Jamie Marchi. She's pretty nutty, She's been pretty quiet as of late, though.

If she had said "my brother is innocent, and deserves his day in court" that would have been one thing. Hypocritical in light of Vic, but nothing more.

As written, it sounds like she thinks CP isn't that big of a deal and doesn't hurt anybody.

Those children turn into grown adults and their horrific abuse is being shared around and they have live with freaks being appeased by the worst moment of their lives, how is that "not harming people"??
Not going to lie, this is actually pretty infuriating that she's actually trying to argue that child porn doesn't harm anyone, this isn't even Loli, this is actual children being hurt on camera

It's also creating new victims, since there is a market for that stuff and her brother downloaded and shared it. Her tweet makes her either sound heartless or incredibly stupid. But nobody with a functioning brain can look at it and think "hmm, you're right, he's totally a saint".

Though, TBF, she was also moonlighting as a "female escort," and that's the official reason Nintendo gave for pulling the plug on her. Feminists try to spin it as a harassment campaign.

That would be inadmissible hearsay.

Prior statements like this would have to be authenticated by someone at Twitter who can be treated as a custodian of records. Twitter has done this hundreds of times. Considering how much of this shit is going to be Twitter posts (including deleted posts and DMs), that's step one in discovery.

The U.S. is actually pretty weak on protecting sources. Plenty of journalists have gone to jail rather than disclose sources.

You can disregard any number of breaches of contract and then sue for the latest. If anything, they might want to ignore this and just swoop in and seize all the profits at the end of it. It's likely to be too costly to try to get a restraining order and actively shut it down and doesn't leave them with anything to collect.
