I can’t imagine that once they realize school gets the kids out of the house for seven hours a day that they will want to home school. Unless home schooling the kids is how Greg intends to keep Lainey subjugated once the kids are more independent.

Not sure Greg would want the children to go anywhere which involves inconveniencing him. Having them at home with Taylor at least halfheartedly looking after them is less inconvenient that having to do school runs, deal with other parents, deal with the school, deal with Taylor having more time to beg Greg for attention, etc.

What is especially funny about this particular incident is that it came in the wake of one of his sycophant paypigs (GingerBeck) offering to copy edit his entire book for him FOR FREE, and all of this reeeeeeeeing on his part was in response to that. He shat on her both publicly and privately.
I often wonder if he looks back with some regret on how he treated people who literally gave him hundreds of dollars a month (GingerBeck was, I believe, rumored to be using her student loans to give him money) so he wouldn't have to go get a fucking job like everyone else, but I know the answer is "Nahhhhhhhh. It's not me, it's THEM."
I do believe this particular incident of Greg's egregious shitt-headedness was the final straw for GingerBeck. (Note that it didn't come in response to him generally being a terrible, garbage human to anyone else, even though there was plenty of evidence of that prior to this. At least some of his paypigs in the last month or so are standing up to his awful behavior to his Patreons.)

Oh shit, Gurgles may be more fucked than we thought.
"Just plant dogwood bushes" is the fucking battlecry of fly by night "wetland restoration specialists" who take the money and fucking vanish.
Those pics show MASSIVE devastation to his property. The sod that's green but not really growing, the rotting wood, the shit dumped into the water. Those pictures show willful and wanton disregard for EPA regulations and county regulations.
Those little bushes he bought aren't going to replace the trees he cut down, and the fact he bought them is pretty fucking hilarious. Notice how the pictures pretty much show that he's tried to hide evidence, that the edge of the pond needs dredged (fucking ouch there), that there's fucking logs cut down. The fact that all those kid's toys are new is pretty telling too.
Gurgles is doing his thing of thinking everyone but him is functionally retarded.
I eagerly await the county assessor's notes and comments.

There has been a change. The inspection last Thursday is now listed as "Plan Review" and the status is "Report Forthcoming". That sure doesn't sound like a rubber stamp OK to a little pile of dogwood saplings.
When you compare the inspector's pictures to the satellite shots of the property, you can clearly see that he bulldozed everything. And looking at the videos since last Summer, you can see that he never stopped work on it. There's differences just since a month or two ago.

That PALS is interesting. The fact that the Biology is doing a notification of "Restart" is interesting. Those pictures are very very telling too.
I think it's hilarious that Gurgles waited till damn near the last day to order those "trees" and thinks that is going to cover it.

The restart is referring to the freeze on the timetable for starting work they granted him after his appeal effort flopped. They gave him another couple of months to file his plan for restoring the wetlands... then his plan ended up claiming that there wasn't that much wetland involved and a few saplings would do. It's obviously a stalling tactic hoping they'll just go away or give up. Not a terribly smart strategy. I don't think they'll be cutting him slack any more. He's been picking around with them since last July.

Especially since the water level is clearly beginning to creep beyond what used to be the banks of the area. It's almost in his actual yard, it looks like. He's clearly caused a huge problem there, and his dogwoods aren't going to fix that.

Didn't he say he removed blackberry plants? He should be replacing those, which would be both cheap and easy as blackberries are probably one of the easiest fruit plants to grow and you can get about 200 seeds for around $5. They're native to that area and would start growing very quickly (though they take about 2 years to start producing actual fruit).

It’s sad that I’m so jaded by lolcows getting away will stuff that I think that while Greg will have to pay for stuff, it won’t be so bad he can’t cover it somehow.
We can speculate all day, but he’s clearly uneducated, the court sees that. Feel like they won’t rake him over the coals like he should be. But I’m excited for whatever rant Greg goes off on when the government treats him with kid gloves and he acts like he’s been treated unfairly.

The Himalayan blackberries removed by Greg are an invasive species, but they're often left in place when the consequences of removing them would be minimal or leave the environment worse off. Digging out the rootstock in sensitive areas like a damn wetland can wreak havoc on soil structure and stability, and it is so much work that Greg almost certainly did not do it.
Merely cutting or chopping the top growth of Himalayan blackberry stimulates the proliferation of suckers from lateral roots and induces further branching and cane growth next season. The blackberries will replace themselves soon enough - I am sure Greg will be so thrilled when they start busting through his pathetic sod. All that fuckery with the Bobcat etc., and all those fines and fees, and he didn't even get rid of the blackberries.

I remember seeing pictures of him laying the sod and the ground didn't look very clear. It's like he didn't even rake or till it before laying the shit over it, so I wouldn't be surprised at all.
