I forget his name now but I remember reading it and Chantel was never mentioned, not once. (IIRC, much of it wasn’t in English so I could be wrong). Seems he’d like post a single post “I’m not in a relationship with that crazy fat Canuck” just once. I suppose it’s possible his English isn’t good enough to understand what she meant? I don’t remember him saying anything really.

Seems like mom or Grams would pull her aside and say time to let Bibi go...but as somebody said above, she’d probably throw a huge tantrum. Chantel is so awful to her family they may not ever speak honestly to her.

I don’t know, it’s always been weird. But it’s clear now that Bibi and she aren’t in a relationship, no reason for her to only film in the car. If she’s looking forward to filming at Peetz new place, Mr and Mrs Bibi did put their foot down.

Bibi is Nigerian, he’s familiar with people doing shady shit online to make money. Chantal probably tells him this her business and telling fibs on YT is making her money so stay out of it if he wants her rent this month.

I doubt Chantal’s family watches her channel, at least her older relatives don’t, her sister might for giggles. I’m sure she tells them she’s playing a character on YT, it’s not “real” and is going to be a e-celeb. I’m sure at this point any blood relation to Chantal wants to open a vein when she udders the phrase “my YT channel.”

It sounds like Chantal’s family has put up with her BS for far too long. They probably help pay her rent just to keep her away. The idea of her moving in with them chills the blood. Her grandma pays for her car so she might as well get a ride to the store out of it.

Chantal says she doesn’t go to her grans apartment very often, and Grandma certainly doesn’t visit hers so all their interaction involves buying Chantal food. It’s really sad. Chantal is so self involved she’d never notice she’s barely tolerated out of duty.

Funny during her panicked manic December she mentioned contacting her dad and that he watched her YT videos. Bet he ended up watching enough to ghost her.

Actually, Bibi is Senegalese, which is a big difference (Senegal is Francophone, Nigeria is mainly English speaking). People from Senegal are not especially known for online scamming. Senegal is mainly famous for its music.

Our socialized healthcare system does not include prescription medication unless you are under 18, a student or a senior citizen. It varies from province to province and I am speaking for Ontario, which is where Chantal lives. The current provincial government is trying to reverse this however so who knows what will happen in the future. Unless you have insurance through your workplace, or you are collecting some sort of social assistance benefit (welfare, disability) you would be required to pay for the prescription out of pocket. The pharmacists will generally provide only the generic version (as insurance companies will only cover the generic) unless the doctor specifically writes "No replacement" on the RX.
There are some social programs that assist in the cost of medication but again its usually for people who have some sort of health issue but don't qualify for social assistance for whatever reason.

It can take 6 months to a year to get an appointment with one. Chantal lives in Gatineau, province of Québec.

Her medication is covered by personal insurance or by the Québec government (you have a penalty of 400$ on your yearly taxes to cover it). Even with insurance, you have to pay a deductible, usually around 20% of the total amount. You have the choice to get the generic, but it's up to you... if you want to pay more to get the real thing, as long as it's prescribed you can.

To see a therapist, psychologist or a specialist of any kind (gastro-enterologist, gynecologist, neurologist etc.) you need to see your family doctor, get a paper and put yourself on a waiting list. Depending on who you need to see, you can wait 6 months to 24 months. I have no idea how long the waiting list is for a psychologist.

Just like in Ontario you can also see a therapist but they aren't covered, excepting if your employer offers it in its insurance package but since Chantal doesn't work job is YouTube...

I wonder if her mom bought her clothes? It’s gotta be tough to shop for someone as short and wide as Chantal. I wonder if they just go online, hit the very largest petite size made at a plus size clothing store, and hope for the best. You could certainly couldn’t go to wide but since she’s like 5 feet tall the length has to be tricky on pants. I guess her massive fupa takes care of extra fabric issues, probably makes regular pants Capri cut.

Ah, my mistake. I still figure she just tells him it none of his business how she makes her money and he wants nothing to do with it. Most roommates would do the same, as long as it doesn’t effect them they ignore it.

She dresses like someone's sixty-five year old aunt. I think I said the same thing re: the hen party video. She is not only fat and stupid, but she has no taste at all. I know selection is limited for fatties, especially in Canada compared to the U.S., I'd imagine (though you guys do have plenty), but she could at least buy something that doesn't look like it is a Special Outfit for BINGO and the early bird special.

This can't be 360 pounds.

I'm reminded of a Friends episode that shows Monica in a family video from high school as the fat girl. Joey says 'look, some girl ate Monica!' and she says, 'the camera adds 10 pounds.'
Then Chandler says 'so, how many camera's are on you?'

We rarely get to see her standing (and once again holding onto something) & boy, she is huge. Not Amber huge, but getting there.
Does anyone know why she can't stand still with her hands at her sides for a photo? If she's that unsteady to stand still for a moment, how is she able to walk on a treadmill?

If Chantal were smart (eyeroll) she would realize those idiots telling her how beautiful she is are the real haters. Those are the comments she craves & then eats at Arby's.

Edit to add: Dutch Courage mentioned how she has to hold onto something first. Goes to show how noticeable it is.

I am just another rando pop psychologist in my armchair here, but regarding her potential "mental illness"

I firmly believe that Chantal is not mentally ill, in the sense of having a diagnosable disease.

If anyone wants to hear what mentally ill sounds like, they can listen to fellow Beauty Parlor lolcow Virgo Rouge

That is what mental insanity sounds like. Chantal is obviously not delusional to the point of paranoia like Virgo is.


I do think she has a less sexy (and alas for her, less treatable) "personality disorder" But I also think it is her own dumb fault.

Chantal may fit somewhere on the personality disorder scale, but she put herself there with a lifetime of behavior that for whatever reason was never discouraged in early childhood (I am guessing that that corresponds with her teenaged single mom working and not having as much contact as she probably should have. Maybe the babysitter/daycare operator/grandma overfed Chantal all the time to keep her from crying? Who knows?)

I guess it is not her fault to the same extent that it is not anyone's fault who does stupid things and never realizes they are stupid. However, we are all born with issues that our parents and family inadvertently gave us as kids. We all have to work through some shit. That is what being adult is all about; working through the shit you inherit so you can be a better version. And still, you'll wind up giving your kids issues.

Chantal may have been a lazy, fat, under-stimulated baby (my guess) due to her single mom's circumstance, and insofar as that isn't her fault, it has resulted in a lazy, fat, under-stimulated adult.

What is her fault is her absolute refusal to work through any of it. She may not be super-bright, but she has been given enough intelligence that she could face the demons that drive her and roll up her sleeves and be a better person.

But the adult Chantal makes the adult decision to let laziness and sloth override every decision in life. And that is unforgivable. Which is why her travails are lulzy and not tragic.

I am guessing it is not because she needs the support. I think she believes it makes her look more lithe. And it probably does.

It may be because she’s so short, photos taken by people taller are angled weird. Or, it could be one leg is getting a lipoma or something. She’s been lucky her legs have been the last to get fat, it’s kept her mobile longer than others with a different distribution. That may be changing.

I thought those pants might be the paneled maternity pants. There is definitely a discolored panel around the top-probably elastic to accommodate the various fupa sizes.

Chantal is only 5'2 though, 360 pounds would already be serious obesity for someone who's tall, but on her small skeletal frame it's absolutely disastrous. Someone who's 6'2 would have to weigh over 520 pounds to have the same BMI as Chantal, and even then their skeletal frame would carry the weight better.
