Weeb Wars / AnimeGate / #KickVic / #IStandWithVic / #vickicksback - General Discussion Thread

Ah, another one of those "we totally have tons of evidence guys, we're just not gonna show it" cunts. Either shit or get off the pot. They have absolutely no reason to not drop what they have if Vic is the monster they're trying to make him out to be. You're already calling him a sexual predator, don't walk it back like you don't want to ruin him.

The amount of times he uses "Uhm" offends my ears as equally as how every other sentence has the lilth of a questioning tone.

At first, I confused his voice for the woman sitting next to him.

Don't forget this chance encounter, when someone had the audacity to call him a coward in public infront of a panel.

This is the closest I've ever seen Vic even get to having a What the fuck did you just say to me, you little shit? slip.

You can even hear the gears start turning in his head when he says it.

He handled that little shit really well, props.

In regards to JYB, apparently hes kind of a diva. He tries so hard to promote his edgy band that he's in or something? I get douche vibes and that's not even scratching the surface of his Power Rangers days.

(I should add that the nicest actors from my experience are Lani Minella, Bridget Hoffman, Kirby Morrow, Scott McNeil, Jim Cummings, John DiMaggio, and Kari Wahlgren. I message Lani sometimes and she told me about how pointless the strike was, what ficore means, and how anime pays very little. Also fun fact: Ryan Drummond is a dick.)

The OP of that thread made a followup thread (he deleted the first one.)

TLDR The chat message the poster saw was referencing how JYB is LA based and Funi tends not to work with LA talent if they can help it.

Johnny Young Bosch has a reputation of being something of a two-faced jerk.

Bosch was in Power Rangers and once he started getting work as an anime dub VA, would shit talk Power Rangers and his time on the show in order to fit in with the cool anime kids at conventions that looked down upon Power Rangers. Then, once Power Rangers saw an upswing in terms of renewed interest, and developed it's own convention and it's online fandom grew to the point that actors started interacting with it on a regular basis, Bosch started shit talking the anime industry and his coworkers there to Power Ranger fans, as far as throwing the anime industry under the bus so he could make money off of Power Ranger fans that might not have heard him shit talk them.

You have a source on that? Cause I remember when Bandai was advertising the Haruhi anime, they produced a series of videos from 2006 to 2007 (before the first Power Morphicon would even happen) called the "The Adventures of ASOS Brigade." They would go over the production of the anime and in particular its English dub.

Johnny Young Bosch was interviewed by fellow voice actor and Power Rangers alumni Patricia Ja Lee, and she notes, "You know, you look kinda familiar to me, I can't exactly place it."

No offense but I have a hard time believing you story.

In reference to The JYB Experience

His old band Eyeshine, or his new band?

In his defense, old bandmembers from Eyeshine rubbed him really raw, tempermant-wise. He watched the female member essentially quit during a interview on television. He did a documentary that he published on his Youtube channel about it, including all of the ups and downs of the success of the band, its eventual dissolvement, and him forming a new one.

It was mentioned earlier about people having opinions of Johnny, so I dug and found something that explains the situation, back when when it was first brought up-- it too was passed over, but meh -- the general consensus is people want to work with JYB more, see my quote below.

They're pretty thorough about the fact that JYB can go between CA and TX pretty regularly for it to not be a big deal like for others.

I'm at the point with those types where scenarios are likely and both do not bode for them:
  1. They have evidence and/or proof of Vic's misgivings and they did not report it to the police.
  2. They are lying/bluffing and they are destroying an innocent man's life.

About the first one scenario: My previous employers explicitly told all of the employees one night that if someone reports to us about abuse (physical or sexual), we had to not only do paperwork for the company, but also make a police report. If a minor is involved, failure to report it to the police IS A MISDEMEANOR!!!! Assuming this idiot talking to Emoshi is aware of any assault involving a minor, the brainlet is breaking the law themselves!!!

If indeed the second scenario happens to be the truth, then they are utter scum and deserve to be sued. What's more is that everyone will know they are scumbags.

No win situation for them.

This Lupin dude is getting pretty pissy about Nick.

Like I said before, sexual assault/rape kit tests exist for a reason. Use them when you get sexually assaulted/raped. God damn.

I see. Got a name for who it is, @Jub-Jub?
Sorry, I took a break after having to correct myself twice in a short period of time. Oldamishrenegade already answered, but it was Scott McNeil. Both were talked about briefly in the thread earlier this month and my brain connected them. This is why memory as evidence is shit, i should have checked before posting.
So we have:

+Not a member of either company
+Could be considered a Vice Principle
+Boasts about wealth they don't really have
+Has influence in cons (ANN always will as "the" news network dedicated to Anime)
+Is definitely KickVic
The post boasting how rich he is occurs after the Ty beard Iago stream. He could be and Igor someone like Lynzee, i won't argue they aren't both snakes, but i don't know how much pull they actually have. I'm still on the Sabat and Monica train.
Monica Rial says she'll start her own con with UNO and soyboys
Lol, what an apt morphing of the quote.

@Bread Fetishist something the others didn't say above and what this thread didn't really touch on. Cosplay thot Dominique Sky + others (i think Pridemore was in the group, but not necessarily participating) running gay ops to dox and deplatform another cosplay thot on the StandwithVic side.

The Lupin guy is totally wrong. Sexual assault is actually very easy to prove with physical evidence, it's just that the process for a SAFE (Sexual Assault Forensics Exam) kit takes time (a minimum of 4 hours) and the victim often makes mistakes (like taking a shower after the assault) that tarnishes evidence.

As for victims not wanting to be embarrassed with testifying, that's bullshit. Most want to see a rapist in prison for years.

Source: was a victim advocate for the Army for three years. The course goes through every step of what a SAFE kit entails, and it is EXTENSIVE. Clothing is removed, swabs for DNA residue and/or tissue damage, fingernails are clipped for flakes of skin from the perpetrator, etc.

Man, where were you in the Kanzenshuu thread? Mike LeBrie and the #kickvic crew chimped out and banned people when SAFE kits were brought up.

I love that Nick worded it carefully and it still goes completely over Lupin's galaxy sized brain. Prosecutor don't give a single fuck about "re-traumatizing" victims, especially if they can nail the bastard who traumatized said victim in the first place.

Somebody needs to tell Lupin about the Texas prosecutor who actually jailed a rape victim to ensure she would testify against her rapist.

They give exactly zero fucks.

(The public, on the other hand, might; the bitch lost her reelection, to a Democrat, in Texas).

I think this is a thing given popularity from Law and Order: SVU. In a lot of the episodes where a woman gets raped or assaulted, there's a mid-episode twist where she doesn't want to take the stand because of "shame" or "being afraid of the attacker". That's not to say it doesn't happen (and from what little I know, it's typically when the attacker is either a family member or significant other), but not nearly to the degree that the show makes it out to be.
