It would seem their live shows are being completely done away with for now while they rework the format.

Not exactly a shocker to see this going away given how the concept focused less on the Grumps and more on audience interaction, but it does not give me confidence for Real Good Touring's other endeavors (e.g. The Runaway Guys Live!) if they apparently had trouble making RGT's parent brand's tour work long-term.

They sold out in my city within two days. I'm kind of shocked that many people want to watch other people play video games live, especially considering I don't live in one of the massive cities on that list.

I never got the fucking appeal of watching someone play videogames live on a stage. I figured twitch cattered to that crowd already? Back when I still watched Achievement Hunter and they starting doing live shows I sat through one for 10min before I closed out of the video. The crowd never shuts the fuck up, the audio rigging is shit half the time and it's one long cringe worthy let's play but LIVE.

Why would they have a transparent watermark superimposed onto the image when the Game Grumps logo and times are completely blocking the artwork already?

Oney moved to LA, maybe at Arin's sugestion. Before the official move, Oney had visited Grumpspace...appeared in a video or two and some streams? I can't remember exact timelines but Brian was still appearing on camera and running social media stuff. Perhaps because Oney was inbetween jobs at the time and maybe figuring out how to avoid having to move back to Ireland or something. I remember him posting something about thanking Arin for helping him out with Visa stuff. Letting him re-start up his, then, casual let's play channel by allowing him to record there. Oney brought with him his friends Ding Dong and Julian. Ross even had Oney Co-Host a new series for the channel, Doodle Doods...which I guess officially made Oney a grump in a way? Things were chugging along, Oney presumably earned enough to move out of Arin's and get his own place.

Then the Dream Daddy stuff happened, which has already been covered. Ding Dong and Julian openly mentioning their distaste for it, Brian and Suzy clapping back at them, yadda yadda. And eventually Oney and friends stopped recording at the Grumpspace. But the Oney guys kept publicly insisting this only happened because of scheduling problems. I think maybe weeks or months down the line Oney made a vague tweet about knowing who your real friends are or something to that effect. And people were concluding he was talking about a falling out with Arin.

I dunno if this has been mentioned yet either, but it's sort of tangentially related. There was a very brief period of time were Markiplier was in a bad place (a break up I think?) or between moving houses, and the Grumps let him stay and record there. Long after he got his stuff back together and moved out, Markiplier eventually employed his editors Matt and Ryan and then had a falling out with them. Matt and Ryan went off and became Game Grumps' current editors and started their own LP channel, Super Mega. Markiplier made a sort of apology/confession post on Facebook that mentions how he was hurt about it since he thought Game Grumps were his friends. Super Mega also got really close with OneyPlays. But now have seem to have distanced themselves from Oney as well. At the behest of boss Arin? Or on their own...that's still under speculation.

How you go from storyboarding and designing characters for a pilot episode of a show like Gameoverse with Ross O'Donovan supervising to making:

Is beyond me.

I cannot for the life of me fathom how there's lip-sync lag; for how jagged and stilted the new Game Grumps intro is, at least that one's properly synced.

Just goes to show the old adage is right. Never go into business with your 'friends' more often than not they'll take it personally and will refuse to hash shit out. For instance I had no idea about game grumps poaching Matt and Ryan (who are literally grumps-lite) from markiplier. That's some shady shit that should feel like a slap in the face. It puts into perspective how diabolical some of these petty manchildren can be all so they don't have to work at denny's or kick boxes around a warehouse like a normal functioning adult.

Is there a Gameoverse sample to compare this to? Just curious. I will agree, though - that new intro is full of cringe.

I'm just wondering why the majority of these artists aren't incorporating Arin's neckbeard in these new designs. He hasn't had a clean shaved face in years.

I liked her at first but soon took a disliking to her. She just seems like she'd be a drag to be around. She posted a blog about her and Ross having a sitdown talk after Ross and Danny played Leisure Suit Larry about how problematic it's portrayal of transsexuals were. I will never get why 30-40+ year olds with a modicum of fame act like this, like Anthony Cumia, Ethan Ralph, Moviebob, Maddox, Onison, Carl Benjamin and Jim Jefferies. Like, it's not the end of your life, but it's the age you should have a career and should have started a family by.
