I can't even say how many hot takes I've seen from my liberal asshole friends today about things that are never funny guys omg. Yeah, ok, someone doing a boring "I'm pregnant lol no just kidding" post on Facebook is trite and stupid, but humor's like anything else: only a small percentage of people are actually good at it, and most of us tell average, boring jokes. Usually ones we got from someone else, and maybe added a personal touch to.

Complaints I've seen today:

  • Any April Fool's pranks relating to having babies in any way is strictly forbidden and NEVER FUNNY because some people can't have babies and are sad about it, so be considerate!
  • Pranks about coming out as a different gender are contributing to the culture that murders trans people
  • April Fool's Day will bring out your lesser-known triggers, stay safe! [Note: does not mention "staying offline" as a way to stay safe]
  • Autistic people are hurt by April Fool's Day because they don't understand the social cues that reveal someone's not being serious!
  • Lying and dishonesty are never funny and it's about deception and why is anyone ok with this?
These people have been right on the bleeding edge of SJW thought for a decade, and everything that was crazy out there when they initially said it has become unquestioned orthodoxy within a few years.

This is all a bunch of people who never grew out of the "I hope the barista doesn't think the way I ordered my coffee was uncool, oh god, she did, she thinks I'm uncool, I'm an idiot and I can never come back to this Starbucks again" phase, demanding Starbucks distribute guides on exactly how to order. The glorious narcissist should never have to deal with that ordinary shame of being seen as having imperfect knowledge.

It was explained to me in high school, the trail of tears and the displacement of western Native Americans is pretty well taught. I went to a pretty conservative high school in a conservative state, as well.

It's not that American farmers are butthurt about being told that there's a bloody history in the midwest (well, sometimes there's a denial of history) it's that idpol leftists and sometimes academics that should know better do pretty much make it seem like it's just white people that violently displace people. These are the same people who turn around and praise Islamic Spain.

For anyone that doesn't know, the heartbeat starts at ~5 weeks, and should be readily detectable at ~8 weeks.

I'm fine with a woman having access to abortion, it's a difficult decision, men frequently get fucked by a woman's decision, and all that. I'm also firmly convinced that since the world record for live birth was 21 weeks, 4 days, having a firm, legislated threshold of 5 months is pretty reasonable; if you can't make a decision about a pregnancy within 5 months, you're probably not ready to have a child, anyways.

That said, this woman is really goddamned mad about "men making decisions about women's reproductive autonomy", but isn't mad about -

-Women making shitty choices about who they fuck bareback
-Women being able to make decisions about pregnancies without any input from the dude that blew his load in them
-Men having not only no say in a woman's decision about a pregnancy, but there existing precedents that allow the woman to commit both paternity fraud and sperm theft and STILL keep the guy on the financial hook
-Men also being faced with precedents that give a woman a right to use his sperm, regardless of his retraction of consent to that use, or no consent having ever been extended
-Lots of laws infringing on the right to bodily autonomy of men

Is this law probably stupid, and liable to get overturned because of Roe V Wade?
Yup, to both.

So sure, she's got a valid enough reason to be upset that abortion access is going to be heavily restricted in Georgia until the SCotUS overturns this bill, but in the meantime, I'm not detecting any admission on her part that the necessity of abortion services is vastly reduced by -

-Not being promiscuous
-Using contraceptives and morning-after-pills
-Being vastly more selective about finding men that are worth pursuing a long-term enough relationship with, that are the sort of person that would be worth raising a child (or children, plural) with.

I cannot fathom the mentality of people that assume that their gross incompetence and irresponsibility is grounds for the gov't to rescue them, but there's way too fucking many of them, and they appear to be not just dumb, but significantly out-breeding the rest of the population.

  2. Hearing someone say "I'm an attack helicopter lmao JK" isn't going to make them think "well, time to murder some trannies!" Calm down.

We got rid of the last lot of puritans, looks like the buggers are on their way back in the UK. Which surprises me, because a big part of the national psyche is based around being eccentric, independent and taking the piss.
