Weeb Wars / AnimeGate / #KickVic / #IStandWithVic / #vickicksback - General Discussion Thread

Now they're all crying about this. But its hilarious, just looking at these people, they're going to turn on each other instantly this gets intense.

That's what Ty said. He said these people better know they can't trust each other and once the chips are down shit's getting ugly.

I can't even catch up to all this, but I have a 100% feeling this is all due to professional jealousy. Vic was immensely popular, had huge numbers of fans, released a popular movie and drew people to cons and was probably making a decent living off of this.

According to Nick, a "name" VA can make $40,000+ from a con - more than they earn in a year from the voice work itself. That's a whole lot of reasons to get someone uninvited in the hope that at least one or two cons will offer you a spot to keep the guest numbers up.

The list of people getting tagged in on shit we post here just keeps getting longer.

Some actors knew he was a bit handsy and some fans might be put off, so they thought that they could basically just push him aside for their own benefit.

This was nothing more than something to kill his career for personal profit by other VAs. Then you had the professional virtue signalers and virgin betas who will white knight for the ugliest women on the planet to reinforce it.

I believe there's also an anti-christianity angle to this what with Vic being so open and devout about his faith.

The thing is progtards are all mindless virtue signalers. They've got very little in common. I've always noticed when shit gets serious, they can't handle it and basically just rip each other apart. In a fucking legal case? Shit, serve Iago first. That nigger gonna flip on everyone. You want the guy who knows the most to flip.

Also I hope they serve that fucking cunt MarzGirl who defended a pedophile rapist. Fuck that gaping cunt.

Yeah, if a con is full and you can get that spot, you might not get the 40k, but you'd get more than you normally would.

I believe there's also an anti-christianity angle to this what with Vic being so open and devout about his faith.

There might be, but I think that's just icing. A convenient excuse if you will.

What's ironic is that Alex (UnrealEntGaming) was interviewed by Geekdom101 a while back ago:

I was personally interested in Alex's journey as an independent wrestler. It's a tough and grueling life.
Anyways, he's been covering Weeb Wars, too.

This is what anime outsiders stated
Vic said that other VAs straight up called him a cult leader for his geeky little bible studies and how he was "indoctrinating children" and even went as far as to point out how priests rape kids.
This explains why Sean made that weird "Vic rapes little boys" rant

I'm certainly taking legal "advice" into consideration from someone who apparently doesn't even know SLAPP is an acronym.

In theory that's all public information about him and unrelated to her. Of course she made her relationship to him public when she tried to raise funds for him and also made the nature of the charges public - which undermines her argument that others are violating her privacy.

Wasn't she "a bit" dishonest and fraudulent, when she made up that story about the "used" HDD when the articles say he got popped for sharing CP? There was also some kickvic shill who made up an absurd story of malevolent hackers (probably named Ivan and Boris) who planted the file and then spoofed his IP, just to get the po-po after his ass.

The more I've looked at the people involved in this case and the ideologies that drive them, the more I feel it's about burning an effigy of something that symbolizes everything they feel has held them back from attaining the success they think they deserve.
I don't think these people are railing against Vic mignogna so much as they're raging against every Chad that ever made them feel "less than" by virtue of their very presence.

She's a fly by night literal nobody so it's hard to believe some hackers would take the time to a.) find out she has a creeper looking brother and b.) find a way to hack and call the fuzz on said brother.

Whoever claimed this should get the same sentencing as pedobro here for such stupidity.

I edited the comment to add more, @AnOminous.

My suggestion for cons, both as a frequenter and member of staff: Trust literally no one.

Assume every cosplayer is a thot, assume that your bags will get stolen and travel light, and be aware that sex tourism is the #1 draw for social rejects like Geekdom101's social group to attend.

If you're a cosplayer contestant, have your friend/SO guard your shit and your body with your life.

If you're a ProGamer whose going to cash in at a tournament, bring only your fightstick set-up, enough money for food from outside the confloor, and don't leave your shit behind for any reason unless you have someone with you to retrieve it.

WELL. Seems that hairy underbelly of convention culture had long evaded me. Fuck. I guess there's the main undercurrent we all find in common: Jealousy.

Rules from me regarding general goers: Again, be careful who you associate yourself with. I'm not just talking about the professionals and those in the limelight, but also other groups of people wandering the halls on the weekend. Anime conventions aren't always full of fans sometimes; the conventions out here also attract carousers, hipsters, and junkies, especially at night, and they also have their own social circle orbiting conventions among other places they frequent. This also tends to loop around other close knit convention goer groups in and out and word of mouth easily spreads through to them.

So if you want to make friends at conventions, analyze closely, get to know them, and keep a watch on them over a course of time. I've had a lot of garbage throw themselves out because they turned out to be hypocrites or got themselves in the disease known as SJW Faggotry and atrophied away into the NPC hivemind, but some you have to toss out and say you don't know them ASAP.

Some of these people also can be criminal; I've had a cosplayer friend who had her entire wig collection of up to fifty some stolen by some thot she befriended years ago, and said thot is currently serving a hefty jail sentence out in Texas right now. No, my friend never got her wig collection back. Catch social cues, what they like and how they act, but in the face of "appearances can be deceiving", trust your instincts and back it up with the stimuli you got.

Finally, in light of Vic Mignogna's situation, and what he's doing, I'd give another word of advice: If you know you are innocent and still want to attend conventions, do it. Actions speak louder than words, and your prescence means a lot if you know you didn't do shit. Fight back if you need to, but always avoid starting shit. Most SJWs never return to conventions thankfully the year next, as I've seen; in my case, they usually gush over Marvel Cinematic Universe actors these days and fujoshi their way out there. Despite what I thought over the years, for many, anime is but a fad, and thankfully for them they go on to the next thing and fuck off out of our general direction as soon as the next trend hits. Finally, as common sense dictates, if shit is bad, then just don't go. Life is bigger than just some anime convention out in the middle of fly over America. Go to Japan if you want. Fuck it, I always say.

I think anime conventions will only get better if are more focuses on creative and artistic aspects of it, but knowing human nature, and the current social and cultural climate these days, I wouldn't hold my breath.

Wishful thinking but maybe he read a copy because he was sent one.

I'm thinking the same thing. I mean I can't see any of the major players sending a copy of their legal documents to ol' Grima Wormtongue here. Even by their oh so impressive standards of stupidity that seems a particularly moronic move with no upside. Nope, If Shane has in fact seen one of these letters it's because he received a certified letter. "Dear Igor..."

This is 100% true -- it's why people make or break careers on moving to where the work is in Houston or LA.

The only way to become a "named" VA is to grind in the WALLA Group sessions to hopefully get noticed, or to network with other VAs to get recommendations.

The $50/hr session rate I mentioned isn't the flat rate -- it's the highest amount Funi is willing to give you for dedicated "show up" work. To get a higher rate, you have to sign with an agency or have a Senior ADR/Screenwriter vouch that you're worth it for a debut in a main role for a show/movie/OVA/bit part.

Getting to that position is the only way to really supplement and make being a "named" newcomer worth it, and retaining that position is the best way to keep your bills on auto-pay.

He even looks like the Chad meme.
...hmm...
Anyone got a good body profile of Schemmel, Sabat and Mills? Inbox it to me.

PULL finally noticed the copyright thing for Nick's stream.

They are absolutely that stupid, just like they're stupid enough to keep discussing it with each other and to keep talking about it publicly.

She really is exceptional, isn't she?
Her brother's arrest was covered by Florida-based news sites:

And the official website of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement:

As such, this is public knowledge and not a private matter!

I doubt Forneverworld still rolls with them considering this whole situation and this thread I found on kanzenshuu and twitter

tbh there's alot to post from the board, just gonna post the archive link, but the thread is still viewable on kanzenshuu too.

safe to assume they aren't friends or roll in the same crew. of course they could've resolved over the years as this thread was from back in 2015.

I don't think Rhymestyle or any of the other db gaming tubers are in geekdom's crew either. Rhyme has a bigger following than geekdom and hasn't weighed in at all on vic's situation. in fact, he called out terez for being overly sensitive and not being able to handle the fact that other's may have different opinions than her on certain topics (i.e. on a different topic though, unrelated to this whole situation) and the fact that she banned him from r/dbz on reddit cos she thought he copied their sidebar for r/dbxv2. I might be wrong as well, but when kamehacon announced vic and all these nobody panelist's were cancelling, he posted a vague tweet about how he wasn't going to call out idiocy on his timeline anymore.
