Arin Hanson / Egoraptor / Grump - "Hey I'm Grump!" of Game Grumps fame, hypocritical SJW doxer, shat himself recording a let's play

Da fuc? ProJared's never came across as someone that would rock the boat, even privately, at least I now kind of want to watch some ProJared, so that's a plus I guess?

Can you explain this JonTron/Oney incident? I vaguely remember something happening, but I can't remember any of the details.

Sorry - I meant both JonTron and Oney severing ties with the Grumps; not to each other.

It's not even just that: their playlist display is now super barren, only featuring one custom playlist with five series from years ago, and the default "Created Playlists". Now, I may be wrong but last I checked, their tab was much more full than this right? And never had "Series" there before?

If this is them doing some spring cleaning to their formatting, printing only those videos is one weird roundabout way of doing things.
I see Dream Course as well, but yeah, come to think of it I seem to remember a bit more to their playlists then just Series.

Hang on I'm aware of JonTron, but when the fuck did Oney cut his ties? I know he had his own show but I thought he was still tied to them to some extent.

EDIT: Okay, given the brand new naming schemes for the videos as well, I'm starting to think this is some intern severely fucking up and whatever he's trying to do right now.

Intense Putt-Putt Combat!

Creating Horrifying Characters In a Mini-Golf Game!

If that's the case; will Arin finally man up and actually fire someone?

I could be wrong, maybe Oney is still buddies with the Grumps? I know Ding Dong and Julian had a falling out with them over Dream Daddy (apparently?)

All I know is that there's been at least one video on Oney's channel where he and his co-host do an exact script match to a Grumps Yoshi's Island playthrough - which is particularly painful to watch and seemed like a dig at just how unfunny the Grumps actually are; even though all Oney and his friend were doing was reading off the exact same script.

That was Friends Without Benefits, not OneyPlays.

Now that you mention it I do remember something like that, also looking stuff up really quick he hasn't recorded with them in a long while it seems. I could be wrong but you seem to be accurate, if he's doing anything with them it's behind the scenes or in private, not in public.

And suddenly, just like that, something moderately big just went down.

I normally wouldn't post something like this, but this is really strange: all of the videos that were crossovers with the Grumps and ProJared have been privated. Even Dragons in Places. Seriously, go take a look and try to find them: they're all gone, including the Vice: Project Doom episodes (the first one featuring a clip that I even used in my TIHYDP of Skyward Sword) and the TMNT crossover: just disappeared in the past half hour.

The fucking weirdest thing: ProJared hasn't...done anything. There is nothing to my, or any of the fans' knowledge that could've provoked this, and everyone in the fanbase has been flipping their shit over it.

EDIT: All of the Table Flip episodes featuring him are gone as well, some of which also featured The Completionist and ProJared (i.e. Episode Three which would've been linked below.

EDIT 2: The singular episode that's still up that features ProJared in any capacity is Bang! from Table Flip.

Archive your shit.

Archive your shit.

The links are supposed to be dead (and were already dead when I had to check the links via the Game Grumps Wiki to confirm their validity); that was the whole reason I posted them like that. I mean I can archive that last video, that one actually was my bad, but Archive doesn't support video playback. It's much too late to save potential comments now anyway, given the great "ProJared Cleansing of 2019", as it were.

Maybe Arin got mad because Jared is a better crossdresser than him.

That's more or less what happened yeah.

OneyPlays used to be recorded in the Grumps office until Ding Dong and Julian, who are a gay couple, spoke up online about their dislike of Dream Daddy because they felt it was just pandering fujoshit. Suzy and Brian then proceeded to bitch at them publicly on Twitter. Reportedly, the other people working at the Grumps office started treating DD&J weirdly too after that so they moved recording of OneyPlays to Oney's house until Dong and Julian moved out of state for financial reasons. Oney hasn't been seen on Game Grumps since, and the one Grump series he mained, Doodle Doods, was silently cancelled after episode 20 released one month after Dream Daddy's release.

Which is a real shame as Doodle Doods was actually legit good.
So were the Grumpcades with OneyPlays on them. It's too bad Arin's more interested in ruining relations with everyone in his quest to get YouTube money.

How big even is the list of people who have left Game Grumps at this point? Jon, Ross, Holly, Barry, Kevin, Chris, Ding Dong, Julian and I think Matt and Ryan wanted to get their own studio and move out of the GG office. At this point you still have Arin, Dan, Suzy and I think Brian who are sticking around.

Seems they have a running record of chasing off youtubers they do collabs with. I used to watch Game Grumps year or two ago...the last thing I watched was their Doki Doki Literature Club playthrough. Probably the last one I enjoyed as their others were pretty dry. I stopped following their twitter cause the abundance of fanart of them in skirts got me uncomfortable...and I'm usually okay with that kind of thing.

Why does Arin have to ruin everything?

The Grumps are just replacing former good friends with Hollywood celebrities, so it's all good! (but not really).

With Brian making rare appearances in grumps videos and Dan largely sounding tuned out as he co-hosts the channel, there are times I wonder if Dan and Brian only stick around out of moral obligation instead of genuine interest - as Arin helped them out when NSP was still struggling to gain a footing, and they never fail to thank him for that when asked about it in interviews.

Fanarts? LOL! Just wait - Arin asked Cranium Apparel (the store that specializes in gamer gear) to send the entire Grumps office the new e-Sports dress (little more than a cheerleader dress). So, fiction will now become reality.

What, have you not seen Arin's old Livejournal posts yet?

I don't think Brian is there for the Game Grumps, I think Brian is there for Dan and Dan only. Dan I don't think is there out of "obligation", he's there for an easy paycheck and a large venue to push out marketing for his two project bands. GameGrumps still makes retard money and all Dan needs to do is record once or twice a week and he's golden.

Everyone (justifably) gives Arin shit for being lazy but Dan has seized the opportunity and NSP has released six albums, basically one a year, and sold tons of them through the GG audience. He sold another 2 albums with "Starbomb" (the other project, plus NSP + Arin). He even went back and did new tracks with the group he was in before NSP and probably got some cash from that as well. Additionally, the new reach has let DSP tour (and headline) much like a real band and get them noticed by other niche bands (and even Weird Al) - touring is a huge cash stream for bands/artists.

Arin owns Game Grumps, but Dan is still smart enough to make large amounts of cash from it. I'm sure he makes pretty good money just from Game Grumps (his cut is still probably decent, there's merch with his likeness on it, etc) but he and Brian have probably been stacking paper through NSP for 6 years now. Even if you don't think Dan is smart enough to leverage it, please consider that Ninja Brian left his job (which he was highly regarded Physics teacher and researcher for a University in London) in 2015 to join GG and do NSP full time and he is by most accounts not a moron.

I never said he was - nor Dan, for that matter. I'm just saying that as popular as NSP has gotten, they could probably do just fine on their own if they ever decided to leave Grumps to focus on their music career.

I didn't mean you in particular, just anyone reading in general. It's pretty easy to think of Dan as not exceptionally bright if you take him at surface level (he is the "guy giggling at Arin's poop jokes/stories").

You're right that they would still do fine if they left GG, but Dan's still getting a huge check and advertising platform with 5,000,000 subscribers for what amounts to a single day of work (wherein "work" is defined as watching Arin play video games badly) once every two weeks. There is virtually no reason for Dan to not do it, it's just so easy and so good for him.
