The tweet promoting her side event makes the con runners look like the biggest bunch of doormats ever. These guys are absolutely terrible negotiators and it's not surprising they aren't planning to do any more of them. I can understand not wanting to deal with a lawsuit to reign in these uppity voice actors, but the least you could is not fellate them as they leave you high and dry.
Im pretty sure there is a clause in her contract that gurantees her a fixed amount of minimum Income from selling signatures.
so they got axed that part for letting her do her own thing. Cheaper than sueing a broke person over a small amount of money.

Kamehacon actively endorsing her is bizarre to me, what would they gain from their attendees leaving the con? Maybe they think nobody will bother?
The con gets Rial to sit in the 25 mile away corner. Hopefully part of the deal is she has to do so quietly. We all know the con owner is over the uppity VA's. This was the path of least resistance to the crazy people leaving him alone.

Anybody know who the other soy boys are?

It doesn't make any sense for a con to burn bridges with VAs. I suspect the result of Ty's action will be equally disappointing to anybody expecting a scorched earth outcome.
Well Sony and Warner might Nail some VAs to Crosses if their companys get sued.

Exactly, they tried to torpedo the con by cancelling their appearences publicly, some of them even mentioned safety concerns which implied the con was "unsafe". Then when it's all said and done the con acts like they're still best buddies and everything is cool.

With any luck no one bothers and Monica and company end up as a sight even sadder than wrestling superstar Virgil, I wish I could be a fly on the wall in that comic shop for the day just to see what crap they try to sell and whether or not the rest of the VAs also sign stuff for free.

This is the worst fucking news i have heard. Makes me feel just stupid in having supported such pussies who couldn't even spine up into filing a SECOND LAWSUIT along with VIC. They had all the best situations they needed for winning it.View attachment 714733

Nah! There is no upside to them publicly challenging this shit, and even less to throwing lawyers at them or getting into a pissing match involving accusations of "a sexual predator". Their best course of action is to be somewhat magnanimous. Let them go in peace. Then never ever fucking hire them again. The other VA's will let their dissatisfaction be known. Vic draws a crowd, which benefits them. Monica is seeking to draw paying fans away from their tables. Which takes money from them. This "event" is so far across town that it might as well be in another state. Nobodies gonna go there with a Kamehacon ticket. KC knows this. At best she will draw off a small number of blue haired SJW virtue pests and 2 or 3 Beta orbiters. Which should raise the overall pleasant experience of KC by a noticeable amount for everyone else.

Yeah and if i were him, i'd grow a spine, take all the leverage i had in my current situation which is Monica not only having to pay for two lawsuits worth of money but defend against her action T.I with a contract etc. Win that fucking lawsuit or get a settlement, take that money and tell a FUCK YOU to hosting cons.

Some people just want to enjoy the medium and not partake in the drama. Its like any group of people who play a game together. Call them guilds for those of you into the MMO's. Drama is as inevitable as the dawn. You get two factions involved in a hissy fit cat fight and the entire thing plays out all over the third faction. The people who just want to play the game. Kamehacon is that third faction, so this is probably them just trying to thread the needle. They don't want to get involved. They just want to watch Anime.

Admittedly though they may not get their wish, especially since one side in this spat wants to make anime "better" by purging it of what makes it fun. But like any good neutral they are not thinking three steps ahead. That's their choice though, so I am thankful they are principled enough to not be principled. When we consider the "principled" stand of PensaCon, I will call that a good thing.

There is only one real MMO and Its all about drama, backstabing and stealing.

I actually don't blame Kameha Con for this. They reached a compromise agreement that was mutually beneficial to both parties. To bitch and moan about KC not going Super Saiyan smacks of the same illogical of the KickVic people wanting them to act a certain different way. They're honoring Vic's contract. That's the most important thing.

Also, until Toei does something, DB fans are stuck with whatever stupid bullshit Funimation wants to do. So I can see why a DB-focused con might want to walk a little bit on eggshells. That last bit said, it makes Ty's accomplishments to date all the more impressive.

I just wish they'd have shut up about it and not endorsed this bullshit.

I don't think Kamehacon really "did" anything. Ultimately, if Monica Rial and the others say "If you don't like it, sue me", then they don't really have any option other than, well, suing them. And who's going to waste all that money to reclaim $12 and some empty soy sauce packets as damages? Nobody's crowdfunding their legal fees.

EDIT: Jesus, never mind, I just checked their Twitter and they're promoting the event? Cuuuuuuuucks.

They were involved the second they uninvited Vic, once they invited him back and this lot decided to start freaking out and publicly questioning the security of the con and trying to set up shop elsewhere is when you wash your hands of them and cut ties. You don't then publicly endorse their bullshit after they spent weeks fucking you around behind the scenes.

:story: She did it, the absolute madlady! KC just go ahead and sue the fuck out of her, that's one bridge she chose to burn.

I know where Docs Comics and Games is, not far from me so if I don't have to work I'll see

I know that shopping center, it's not exactly known as easy to get into, especially on a Saturday. Kind of want to go observe the mess if I don't have to work that day.
I suspect some gay ops crap might happen here, if you can bring a camera (hopefully one better than your phone's).

That doesn't sound right. She just said that "safety" was the reason why she cancelled her Kameha Con appearance. Then, Kameha Con posted their security system on Twitter to prove that there's plenty of security to have.

Nevermind the cameras and phones, along with Vic's lawyers, being there.

How could you clear everything up without the proof that your safety is at risk? The contract notes that you need substantial proof of this being the case.

If there's nothing to hide, you can talk about that.
Don't worry guys, she hired security:

Maybe they get a cut from her already meager profit. Or they annoyed the KC guys so much they just went "Fuck this shit, I want nothing to do with you people anymore, just leave us alone".

The benefit to Kamehacon is getting out from under Rial and all her baked in Drama and that of her co conspirators. Chances are Monica greatly reduced her con invites going forward. Note Bubbacon "she wasn't invited". Does anybody think this would have been the case a few weeks ago? Before she became a public trashfire doing her best to light cons on fire? There will be a number of cons discovering that they don't need Monica in much the same way that they don't need AWL. Strangely enough the one thing that no employer ever wants from actors is Drama.
