Considering how far away it is, and Rial actually hiring security, as if somehow people are mad enough at low rent Bulma they'd even bother making the trip across town just to glare at her angrily. I just wonder if there is a chance something will "happen" at her signing, after all, no one else will be around to confirm anything would they?

Anyone who knows what's going on and hates Monica Rial would actually be at Kamehacon, though, and not some nothing event. Anyone who actually would know Monica is there and bother to show up would be some virtue signaling cuck who wouldn't have gone to the con.

The main audience will probably be amateur trolls quoting Weeb Wars memes and trying to trigger the SJWs until they get kicked out.

Christina Grimmie was the youtuber, and they had security at the event just not metal detectors to check bags and stuff.

Yeah, can't ever remember her name because I didn't care for her channel. I didn't mean to say she had no security, though. Just that someone who was even less famous than Monica and one would think less likely to need security actually was murdered due to insufficient security at a similar event. Even a little bit of fame can be dangerous.

Well, locals who aren't going to Kamehacon wouldn't have any trouble. Or locals who are going to Kamehacon but have their own car/are determined/have to pass by her anyway to get to KC all would be able to go to her signing. It's just the out-of-towners who will probably miss it. Which means she should have just had an independent signing some other time that didn't conflict with KC and she could have charged admission.

I just caught up on the thread, I'm not that surprised that Rial decided to go through with that little side event of hers but I am a bit disappointed with KamehaCon for bending the knee by promoting it. That said I do agree with @RodgerDodger on it being better for KamehaCon in the long run, especially if going to be used as a warning sign for smaller cons in regards to inviting her in the future.

Also, props to @emspex for the dox! And now I wait for the whales to sing their songs of retardation...
After looking at the comic shop in question it appears that the Kameha Con rejects will be competing for space with 2 pokemon tcg events and will then be kicked out to make space for the Yugioh tournament at 6 :story:
My Pokemon-affiliated autism flared up when you mentioned Pokemon TCG events and I had to have a good look at their Eventbrite page (which also has pic of Monica's little retarded wank-off session) to see what kind of events they were and how much of a pull it would actually have. As s much as I hate to say this, I doubt said session will compete with those Pokemon events for space. One of 'em is a free League meet-up that's designed for more casual players and those just getting into the competitive scene while the other is a Standard-format competitive League with minor prizing, I can see both events either being canceled or seeing a day-off drop in attendees. The only events I see that COULD'VE caused REEEEEEal and Friends some issues are the League Cup and Prereleases since those are planned in advanced, but (un)fortunately those are on different weeks.

The only TCG people I can see getting pissy with 'em are the YGO players and that's only if Rial overstays her welcome, they can get pretty vicious (in the take-everything-that-not-nailed-down-and-hock-it-for-cash-or-competitive-cards kind of way) when their events are fucked with or they feel like they've been insulted.
Thats whats hilarious, it hasnt been stated how far it actually is by monica, she just said "its a ways away" and KC hasnt mentioned distance or travel between either.
They'll probably mention where it is on their social media pages the day of, but won't give attendees any hints on how to get there. I also took the liberty of calculating a travel plan from KamehaCon to Doc's Comics and Games, the travel times match up to what's already been said but that's if you take toll roads. Another issue is that, as far as Google Maps can tell, there's no way to get there via public transit.

There's more chance of her being attacked by some completely random loony obsessed with her for no sane reason at all than by some crazed Vic stan.

Yea that was what I was getting at. The Con will probably have metal detectors while the small time comic shop, not unless she pays for them herself.

Kara Edwards has announced that part of her print sales proceeds at Kamehacon will be donated to a charity for sexual assault victims. Guess this is how the VAs that didn't cancel will be virtue signaling.

Check if that place is a scam cause I ain't believing them like Jamie's scam list.

I don't disagree. Some random loony is way more dangerous to her than someone who wants to see her get sued into the ground (and therefore needs to be alive and probably healthy for that), I was just disputing the implication that hiring security for her little meet up is absurd. It's mandatory. It's just complete lunacy (or a total lie, as it actually is) to say a big con with massive amounts of security is 'unsafe' but a rickety little game store with a little bit of hired help is going to be so much safer.

I swear upon Terry A. Davis'(rest in power) eternal soul that I won't do gay ops on Rial's retarded protest convention that is piggy-backing on a Pokemon tournament.

A person that was harassing Vic's twitter finally got punished, which is nice.

It only took about a month for them to do something, but they did.

My personal theory on the competing event is that KC is letting her do it so she can be a warning to other cons about how much of a pain in the ass she is. Smaller non-corporate whoring cons talk. They absolutely warn each other which VAs are nightmares. Monica's stunt is self evident about how she can and will fuck your con over. I will not be surprised if she goes the way of Schemmel and finds herself out of con work.

I think that they just wanted to be done with her. It's stressful enough running something like this without having to deal with a complete and utter pill. Sure they could sue her, but that's more hassle and peace of mind can be worth a lot more at the end of the day.

I think it's embarrassing enough to be tucked away in some comic shop that's only letting her stay until a card game tournament in the evening, but what would make it perfect for me would be if someone else's legal team took advantage of the fact that she's in a known location and a known time and used that to serve her. :optimistic: for sure, but the look on her fat face would be priceless.

Honestly if I was in charge of Kamehacon I'd probably do what they are now. I'd publicly endorse Rial's little special club shit while privately laughing my ass off as I think of all the more relevant VAs that would be bringing in the money, knowing that yeah, a few people will go to that out of the way virtue signal of a signing, but dominantly it would matter little and I can publicly make nice with the VAs that left even if they're pieces of shit, which aside from how spineless that would make me look is good PR, and simultaneously have a nice convention. Then I would just keep tabs on it and laugh as, inevitably, Rial Con fails horribly and she resorts to posing with a bunch of trading card players who probably don't care about who she is and claim a huge turnout.

But that's just me. That's just me. I have no idea what the head of Kamehacon is thinking beyond it's already heavily implied he does not want to do this shit again, and I can't say I blame him.

Nick talked about 25 miles. No sane Person would drive25 miles in a big city for something like that. thats a hour atleast.

What I am wondering if this is actually going to end up costing her money. If she is actually hiring security, it might. That would be pretty funny.

How far away is this shop from OkraTron 5000 (Sabat's studio)? If its along the way, do you think Sabat will casually suggest to those riding in his tour bus "Wanna stop by and say 'Hi' to Monica Rial, Josh Grelle, Jeremy Inman, and Austin Tindle?"

I know I'm super late to post this so I apologize if someone else brought this up but I was thinking. Monica's original story about being sexual assaulted involved her allegedly being told by friends that she had been sexual assaulted by Vic. Makes me wonder if Chris Sabat was such a friend who told her that. It does sound like a lot of people owe their position to Chris except Vic.
