I just caught up on the thread, I'm not that surprised that Rial decided to go through with that little side event of hers but I am a bit disappointed with KamehaCon for bending the knee by promoting it. That said I do agree with
@RodgerDodger on it being better for KamehaCon in the long run, especially if going to be used as a warning sign for smaller cons in regards to inviting her in the future.
Also, props to
@emspex for the dox! And now I wait for the whales to sing their songs of retardation...
After looking at the comic shop in question it appears that the Kameha Con rejects will be competing for space with 2 pokemon tcg events and will then be kicked out to make space for the Yugioh tournament at 6
My Pokemon-affiliated autism flared up when you mentioned Pokemon TCG events and I had to have a good look at their
Eventbrite page (which also has pic of Monica's little retarded wank-off session) to see what kind of events they were and how much of a pull it would actually have. As s much as I hate to say this, I doubt said session will compete with those Pokemon events for space. One of 'em is a free League meet-up that's designed for more casual players and those just getting into the competitive scene while the other is a Standard-format competitive League with minor prizing, I can see both events either being canceled or seeing a day-off drop in attendees. The only events I see that COULD'VE caused REEEEEEal and Friends some issues are the League Cup and Prereleases since those are planned in advanced, but (un)fortunately those are on different weeks.
The only TCG people I can see getting pissy with 'em are the YGO players and that's only if Rial overstays her welcome, they can get pretty vicious (in the take-everything-that-not-nailed-down-and-hock-it-for-cash-or-competitive-cards kind of way) when their events are fucked with or they feel like they've been insulted.
Thats whats hilarious, it hasnt been stated how far it actually is by monica, she just said "its a ways away" and KC hasnt mentioned distance or travel between either.
They'll probably mention where it is on their social media pages the day of, but won't give attendees any hints on how to get there. I also took the liberty of calculating a travel plan from KamehaCon to Doc's Comics and Games, the travel times match up to what's already been said but that's if you take toll roads. Another issue is that, as far as Google Maps can tell, there's no way to get there via public transit.
