Andy's life would have been better if he had stayed in the Skeptic/Liberalist fold. IBS was his main chance at real Youtube stardom, and it turned out to be a fad that crashed and burned almost a year ago. He'd still be a mediocre youtuber giving basic bitch culture war takes, but while stagnant there is still a solid and steady market for it, and have a wider network to lean on. While I admire him for taking the risk, it didn't pan out, and he has not been handling the fallout well. The Donga non-fight was a brief moment he could have maybe turned it around, but the CP stream torpedoed any chances to get in with the wider commentary community that was starting to notice him at the time, so now all he has is Ralph and Zoom.

It is widely speculated both here and on the ranch that Andy has bipolar disorder or borderline personality disorder exacerbated by his drug use. He looks and acts like someone who did too much ecstasy too many times to me, an e-tard.

After thinking over Andy’s actions over the last few months I can clearly see his mental problems arise time and time again. I wouldn’t even say Andy does it for internet fame. If he did he’d try to promote his vacation on his main channel and not in the backwoods of Purple Dragon with an average of 150 viewers. He wouldn’t push away his last fwend Ralph to not speak of Andy’s vacation streams. Andy does these actions strictly because he thinks it’s a logical choice. And that in itself is highly concerning.

That's completely believable. Of course he can't be truly diagnosed without an interview and examination by the appropriate trained personnel, but he certainly meets the criteria.

"Bipolar disorder is characterized by periods of deep, prolonged, and profound depression that alternate with periods of an excessively elevated or irritable mood known as mania.

Manic episodes are feature at least 1 week of profound mood disturbance, characterized by elation, irritability, or expansiveness (referred to as gateway criteria). At least 3 of the following symptoms must also be present :

  • Grandiosity
  • Diminished need for sleep
  • Excessive talking or pressured speech
  • Racing thoughts or flight of ideas
  • Clear evidence of distractibility
  • Increased level of goal-focused activity at home, at work, or sexually
  • Excessive pleasurable activities, often with painful consequences"
He checks every point. I find his situation really sad as I do believe with the appropriate medical and psychiatric treatment, he could be a stable and productive member of society. He could even be a good Youtuber.
 
The most fascinating thing about Andy is he's always sympathetic, you know when you have people of KP actually feel bad for you, to send sincere well wishes, that's some kind of fucking superpower. It's incredibly when you think about it. I thoroughly enjoyed Andy's breakdown into insanity last night, I just wish we got our story time about the Guntfather.

Didn't Andy and Ralph make up? I thought that they had gotten together and lowkey admitted that Andy had exaggerated and possibly hallucinated some aspects of the confrontation, which I was honestly surprised to see a huge lack of skepticism from this board on when it happened. (The second I heard Andy claim that "Ralph didn't remember waving his fist at him but it did happen," or something very similar to that, I immediately guessed that this was largely Andy's memory fabricating things that never happened as it often does.)

Though I haven't been following anything recent, so I wouldn't be surprised if they fell out again over something else.
