One of the smaller (typically under 300 viewers) channels I watch has been pretty active with bounties lately. I don't watch them daily so I'm not sure how many bounties they've actually done, but they mentioned that in March they were able to pay all their bills just off of bounty payments. I don't know the exact payout formula for bounties, but I do know how much you receive is based on the number of viewers, so if a smaller channel is still able to make a decent payout, DSP should be in roughly the same camp, if not slightly better if he did the bounty during the main stream.

To counter the inevitable "nobody wants to partner with DSP" argument, bounties are an open thing where any partnered streamer can sign up for the bounty, you don't have to specifically be approached. A company could theoretically decline a bounty after it has been accepted but not performed if the streamer announced it in advance like DSP did before. It's hard to say without knowing the specifics of the bounty system agreement, which as far as I know isn't publicly posted anywhere.

I've heard other streamers mention that getting bounties, even when they are particularly active is challenging, but again, the smaller channel I mentioned before still managed to get a decent amount. I don't think it is a stretch to say Phil is too lazy to try and get any bounties. I also think his unwillingness to change his schedule for anyone but himself plays into it too. Although even on that point, I know Sekiro was one of the bounties for awhile, and there were a few Sekiro streams where Phil had a pretty decent viewer count to boot. Basically, this is just another example of Phil being bad at his "job", not understanding Twitch, and not being willing to put forth the barest minimum effort to make some extra money while being on the verge of having his house repossessed/taking a week long vacation to visit his perfectly healthy parents who only have a few years left to live.

I don't think bounties would put too big of a dent in his 17k tax tax plan, but even if he just grabbed one or two a week, he'd make at least a couple hundred bucks extra. You also get a copy of the game for free, or if it is a free to pay style game like Apex Legends they might send you a bunch of unlock keys so you can show off the cool things during the bounty.

Yeah, but Phil also has 3000$ in monthly mortgages. I don't think Twitch bounties is gonna pay for that alone.

Didn’t he try bounties a couple time and then get shut out or something? I remember that he claimed detractors contacted the developers of “ELO Hell” and they complained to Twitch and got him locked out of bounties or something. You can never tell with him what’s true, so he might not have gotten enough donations and decided he’d be better off playing Minecraft.

I’ve been marinating myself in preparation for the great detractor Donner Party action of ‘19.
I call dibs on @KangarooPissSpray ! I've had kangaroo before and found it delicious!

I don't remember if I just put this together myself or if it's really the case: I've always thought Phil was interpreting charges of pedophilia from the "He masturbated in front of children" line the "Detractors" say when referencing "The Incident".

It does give the accusations against him an angle they doesn't need, and arms Phil with an easy counter to those claims.
He groomed the 17 year old Leanna via PMs and such. He made a point to say she was 18 when they started actually dating. Panda went further stating that she had Just turned 18. This lead to folks throwing shade at him for being a Pedo.

I know I'm not broaching on something so thought provoking and super intellectual but thinking about the Leanna/phil dynamic in relation with money

Phil wouldnt go out with Leanna because of money, he wouldnt go with her to the wedding (why she was barred from going alone I forgot) because of needing to play Fallout

In 2016 he could not do shit because of money. At that point the only financial woes he had was the condo which is a factor to have always considered.

With the 7 million things going wrong, you would think the standard of living would've changed. I know he's a liar and rate me with autism if necessary, but through following him the only sacrifices I ever see him make is what digital streaming services he uses.

They went out on the regular as per Instagram pics of their meals. They also took near quarterly Stay-cations at High end Hotels, though D$P stopped vlogging them after catching flack for spending so much money and started saying they were staying in the WahKhando during the 'breaks from streaming' he kept taking...for his health.

He is apparently unable to participate in the Twitch Bounty Program after folks in the Elo Hell Dev Discord showed them who their sponsor dollars were paying to stream their game. They did not want their game associated with the D$P brand and had said that they were going to talk to Twitch about this. D$P denied any negative fallout from the incident and even faked an Assassin's Creed sponsored stream. As this stream is no longer on his Twitch channel ( as per the rules of the Bounty Program ) it can be inferred that it was not in fact a sponsored stream. He later has said there were no Bounties until ultimately admitting he was no longer able to participate in the Bounty Program.

To add to this, a Twitch streamer I like to watch has started doing some sponsored stuff. He was saying how Twitch keeps offering him to play Apex Legends with the recent update. Given that Phil has the game, you'd think he'd take such an opportunity (this streamer I watch doesn't play FPS games, so I think it's less likely that it's a targeted offer.) Similarly, a couple other streamers I follow have been playing Sekiro sponsored by Twitch (again, not a type of game they usual stream.)

So regarding his pre-stream length; Does DSP just keep talking until he feels like he's ready to take a shit? Is this the 'penultimate' factor that determines pre-stream length?

It just seems like such an accurate metaphor for his whole stream:
'What's the main driving force of creativity behind this part of his stream?'
'His ability to take a #2.'

and even faked an Assassin's Creed sponsored stream. As this stream is no longer on his Twitch channel ( as per the rules of the Bounty Program ) it can be inferred that it was not in fact a sponsored stream

The AC sponsored stream is still on his Twitch channel though.

Didn't he get in a sniper battle in one of the Metal Gear games using a shotgun?
He wanted to use a shotgun....to fight the World's Best Sniper. He got mad when he couldn't find the shotgun in his invent and went on to complain that the game had taken the shotgun away from him.
I'm glad you brought this up, because recently pictures of DPS's front door hatchet prompted chat to ask him if he has a shotgun for home defense. DSP's reply consisted of (paraphrased because I'm lazy) acting like it was crazy talk to consider using a shotgun for home defense, followed by something about if he was defending against a zombie horde, then maybe...

This gives me one of those rare chances to really dive into the non-euclidean hellscape of DSP's psyche, because I know that there are a significant number of responsible firearms owners that agree that a shotgun can be a good home defense firearm. I typed a bunch of shit about barrel lengths and I learned I can't spell barrel right, but the point is DSP is talking out his ass because he is so terrified to admit he doesn't know something.

And the thing is, no one expects him to know everything. There's tons of shit any given one of us doesn't know. He has these absurd levels of North Korea walls up around him where he sees everything as a potential attack and responds in kind by being contrary to chat.

A shotgun makes for Very good home defense. A shotgun is basically an AOE firearm. Bad aim? In a hallway/aiming at the doorway of your bedroom aim doesn't matter if your firing a shotgun! Handgun? Aim matters... Shotgun? a few of those balls gonna hit something. Pump action shotgun? Even more of those balls gonna hit home enough to dissuade an intruder from coming any closer.

A shotgun isn’t quite the broom people think it is still requires aim but extremely effective.

For what it worth, Superblindman has left the marathon and streaming his own AUDIO game

Here's his channel and for those who wonders what he looks like

Patreon just dropped to 497, the lowest it's gotten. Anyone think he'll make a stink about this or just gloss over it.
Yes he is so close to Spoony numbers. In fact Spoony has more patrons then Phil. I know Patreon isn't really important to Phil at this point, even though it could and should be, but him making less then Spoony would make me chuckle and isn't that the reason we're here?
Edit:Just to give the stats Spoony has 127 patrons and is making $462. Phil has 109 patrons making $497.

The obituary reads, 'Laura J. Burnell, age 52 of Bridgeport, passed away into a peaceful rest on February 27th, 2011 at Bridgeport Hospital. Lori, born on November 12th, 1958, is survived by her father, Frederick Burnell of Gravette, Alaska; her brother, David Burnell of Bridgeport; and daughter Erica Murphy of Bridgeport; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. Lori will be deeply missed by all. Final disposition will be private at the convenience of the family.'

David Burnell is Phil's dad. If Lori and David are siblings, and Frederick Burnell is Lori's dad, then this means Phil's paternal grandfather may have been residing in Alaska in 2011 if Frederick Burnell is both Lori and David's father, which seems likely since they both inherited the Burnell surname.

The really dark part is the Guest Book entry showing on that page that reads '"Rest in peace. Your daughter" -Melissa Koutrakos'
The obituary only lists Erica Murphy as Lori's daughter. That's pretty sad that she isn't listed in her own mother's obituary and is signing a 'Guest Book' for it on a webpage to send her condolences, and now some sped on the internet is commenting about how sad her apparent familial estrangement is because her cousin masturbated in front of said internet and has continuously been it's laughingstock for a decade :story:
Phil said tonight that his aunt was "really elderly".

52 is really elderly. A whole 17 years older than Phil.

This marathon stream is make or break for me except for the second one I'm doing later.
I need $5k to get put on a payment plan or else I'll have to sell my house as soon as I'm back from my trip.
Well guys we raised $1200 this is gonna put a good dent in the amount I need to raise and hopefully I'll make enough by the end of this year to get put on the payment plan.

?

If he gets that far, I wonder how he's going to reflect having spent so much of his life playing video games for the internet. Probably with even more gin.

older wiser phil in another ten years:

Muh life is so hard, but I have to keep working cuz I have no other choice. I luv muh job, I wouldn't want to do anything else.

Keep donating cuz if you don't I don't know how if I can keep doing this, I may have to quit and find another job or at least cut back mah hours here. I can't go get a another job, nobody would hire me. why would I ever leave this job anyway, it pays better than anything else I could do.

Getting nervous about muh bills, save muh 20 year legacy. I know this is the 20000th time I've said this but if we don't meet the goal by this date this is the end man. So if you can contribute out of the all the 20000 times I've begged saying today is the day, this time I really mean it.
