I don't mind people headcanoning the turtles as not being white. Their human DNA in the new cartoon is from a Japanese man, but having one of them be BRIGHT YELLOW because he's Asian is ridiculous, and their attempt at being progressive turned out racist.

Well when i headcannon a character's race when it's a character that isn't human i usually go by voice & actions of that character or by the VAs but i rather go by the VAs then Raph & Mikey would be black and Leo and Don would be white or half white or blasian (black & asian) that's just me though

The convention I go to every year has started to have some more sjw/tumblr-type artists show up in the artist areas, but I never actually realised before I looked at this thread. I thought it was just bad art. Have a small section:
