It's 100% libel at this point. Printing out these "flyers" and posting them where he is is no longer an opinion but attempting to state it as a fact, thus putting Corey in a position where he's now legally defamed Ralph in public. The problem is that there's no provable damages just yet, and he'd need to be able to show something to sue. He's from Virginia and--in theory--Corey is from New Jersey. Just like with The Quartering's lawsuit he'd likely have to file in a federal court because of that.

From what I understand they frown upon it, but until a crime linked to the 'joke' can be shown/proven they ignore it unless they have to get involved. For example, if a crowd started to gather outside Ralph's house and there was a legitimate possibility it could turn violent and injure him or someone else, the FBI might get involved because the precipitating event was the flyers. They'd likely put out a statement saying that the flyers aren't true, that they have no evidence to suggest the crimes are true and then ask the public to get them information on who made them/put them up. There would likely be an investigation at that point.

Yes basically this is textbook defamation, however it's NYC where this shit happens all the time and no one cared. So it would be hard to prove damages, but overall it's definitely grounds for a civil suit. I'm sure Corey would love that though, so it's not a particularly good idea to feed his desire for attention. Bottomline is that lawsuit would be pointless for this particular stream, I think it made him look dumb enough. The irony is if someone else put out posters like that for Corey, it wouldn't be defamation because of the audio he recorded.

Did the stream show himself putting up the posters or just them in situ? There are several levels of claims to ignorance on this, including the "I thought they were real because I'm an idiot and was doing a community service" defence.

Uh I think it showed him hanging one, but he said he put up as many as he could around MSG on the livestream. Who knows how true that is, he was fucking winded going up the stairs.

It’s defamation per se. Long story short, proof of special damages is unnecessary when the defamation at issue involves false accusations of criminal wrongdoing or sexual misconduct.

So I've been reading a ton of shit on this for awhile but I wanted to really focus on Zoom but since it's been brought up. The relationship Corey has with Tabby is even more bizarre, I've been trying to gather antics on them on Blab but that has been incredibly difficult. From the information I can gather Zoom was a mod for Martin Shkreli over on Blab, he met Tabby through that. Tabby was a popular camwhore and she was raking in a lot of cash, she had quite the following as well. Both of them seem to be damaged goods, from what I can gather Corey and Tabby didn't have good home life, but I'm not going to touch that shit. I'm only interested in his online antics for attention.
