I don’t condone the use of the n-word at all. These recordings are from long ago when I was entrenched in a community that perpetuated the idea that the use of the word, or any word, was okay, and I am ashamed that I have gone on record saying it. It is not okay to say this word. It is hurtful and I am very sorry for having said it, and having hurt anyone with it. It is a word that has a lot of power, and I wielded that power absolutely irresponsibly and with an immature hubris.

In regards to accent humor... it is still an issue I am learning about. I have received complaints about this. It is a type of humor that I have since tried to avoid using. In the case of the Bran Lee bit, I think because the accent was not the joke, and was instead an impression of Bruce Lee to sell a different joke (that it is ridiculous for him to endorse a cereal using his legendary quotes) it was not “punching down.” Also, I realize my impression of Bruce Lee is probably not a very good one. I could be wrong on this, it is a perspective I still do not quite grasp fully. I know that Bruce was personally very sensitive about his accent, and would probably not approve of it. I am open to feedback on this one, and I am sorry if the joke has hurt anyone, or made their lives more difficult.

I certainly think it was immature to dismiss criticism of using the Yi Lu voice. I do think that was flat out inappropriate. I think that using the voice was hurtful, and I don’t plan to use it again. I’m sorry that I have hurt folks by using that voice.

I have received a lot of emails from people who would be the victims of such humor saying that they think it is fine, and it doesn’t offend them, but I think it is irresponsible to only use this feedback and ignore the feedback that says otherwise because it is convenient for me to continue without changing or thinking critically about how I approach my comedy.

I am consistently learning about what is okay and what is not, and I am very grateful that people feel empowered enough to give their perspectives on this. I think we are in a very good time right now, where more and more people who were disenfranchised feel (rightfully so) that their voices matter. They do matter. Holding people of influence accountable for their actions is a good thing. We are people who get to say all kinds of things and have people listen to us, I think it is a reasonable request to ask us to listen back.

When I was much younger I was less aware of the power I had as an entertainer, and as I’ve grown I’ve realized more and more the responsibility that I have in the position that I’m in. I hope I can be someone who sets a good example, because the world we live in is mean enough as it is.

So it's cool to not feel the slightest bit of remorse for your fanbase doxxing a guy for a sonic faq that he wrote when he was 16, but when people hold you to shit you said and put in videos when you were in your mid 20's now you feel 'ashamed.' I haven't seen anyone post about this yet so I'm sorry if I missed someone posting it earlier. Apparently this girl on deviantart named KT (or "Katie") was friends with Arin back in 2003 - 2006. From what she has said, Arin was in love with her and the feeling was not requited.
(I don't know how big these images are so I'll be putting in the thumbnails for now, I don't want to clog up the thread).



From tweets (which are somewhat vague but clearly about Arin/Suzy), she obviously resents the fact that Arin is now a sort of "internet celebrity" and since she turned him down back then, she isn't getting any of that sweet money. She would use Arin's love for her as a way to take his money right out of his pockets, to the point where when Suzy and Arin met, Suzy immediately saw that he was being used by her for money. Katie posted this tweet meant to make Suzy look bad (and lies about the ages here, since Arin was 15 and Suzy was 13 when they met), but ironically it actually makes Suzy look totally reasonable and actually makes me reconsider what I believed about her relationship with Arin.



From what Suzy says in that message, it seems like Arin needed a push in the right direction to realize what he may have already knew but denied - that he was being used for money. Eventually she found out about this, and now blames Suzy for the fact that she isn't now married to Arin and sharing that Youtube fame with him. She often either vaguetweets to her or says creepy shit that makes it look like she wants to wear Suzy's skin, including obviously fake "calls for true" and then getting mad when neither Arin or Suzy respond.



I don't know if she honestly believes this, but she keeps on saying that Suzy was extremely jealous of her friendship with Arin and that was why she wanted Arin to stop talking to her. The amount of passive aggression in this screenshot is astounding and her jealousy is palpable, so I bet she is projecting all of her feelings onto who she thinks "Suzy" is.



According to her own tweets, she is and always was obsessed with Arin even after they stopped talking (despite not loving him in any way according to what she has said). She has held onto long forgotten pieces of their "internet history" and even physical reminders of the times that Arin loved her, to the point where she would mention Arin almost every day to her (now) Ex-Husband. It got to the point where he wanted to destroy that small piece of paper in hopes of finally getting her to keep quiet about it and remember that she is MARRIED!

Though it makes me wonder; with all these big name celebrity guests they've been bringing on set, just how much fan donated money was spent getting them on the channel - because you know these big name people aren't doing this for free.

If I'm recalling right - shortly after Dan introduced his girlfriend on Instagram, some salty Dan fan started saying they had dirt on Dan that could completely destroy his career/reputation (I think they were alluding that Ashley was under age when they started dating, or something along those lines).

It's likely being done for free on behalf of Jamie Lee Curtis, I can't imagine GG paying for her appearance. Between her, Rob Schneider, Weird Al, etc, it's likely that Game Grumps is a "stop" on some booker's promotional tour when targeting younger kids. It can be edited, done at any time and GG is based in CA (about an hour from LA) so it makes sense from a number of perspectives.

I don't see what GG gets from having Jamie Lee Curtis on though, I can't imagine much of their audience knows much about her besides being the "yogurt lady" on TV.
