Amber's finances - assumptions galore

Last year she did do a little tax haul after she saw someone. She bought one of those accordion type folders for receipts and I am sure another notebook to keep track of her deductions.

I am willing to bet that she kept that up for about a week. If she were smart, which she is not, she would keep track of everything that she spends and shows in her videos, she could even claim her little den as her office and get some of her rent written off of her deductions, also her torrid hauls and wheelbarrows of orange chicken. Who knows though. The gorl could surprise me.

If feeding Amber untill she dies is the plan, why is Necky eating right along with her to obesity hell? Necky is either not smart enough to think of such a convoluted plan or she is and she is falling for her own trap, meaning she is dumb anyway.
Necky doesn't know the first rule of enabling, don't eat the food.

For some reason, I can't shake the feeling that she intentionally stirred all this drama after her tax appointment. As though she was informed that she had to pay more in taxes and would be left with less money in her account afterwards than she and Becks had initially predicted (IIRC, her secret appointment was about taxes, yes?). Like you said, mukbangs from her get the most views, so I can see her uploading one along with the declaration that she wouldn't be a weight loss channel anymore to get people interested, riled up, create a buzz, she'd get that sweet cash, and finally be financially secure enough for the next feast. Kind of like how Trisha Paytas trolled whenever she needed/wanted something.
Interesting idea. Does anyone actually believe that every month Amber is putting money aside for taxes? I don’t. I wouldn’t be surprised if this daily posting was a mix of panic over losing subscribers and not having enough to pay her taxes.

She's required to be paying them quarterly, at least estimated payments. But she may owe more than initially anticipated. And I don't think she has s lot of savings.

Edit: I'm sure she made significantly more in 2018 than 2017, so she could definitely be screwed. She'd be better off is she and Becky got married and could file jointly. Or does she claim Becky as a dependent?

I would be flat out shocked to the point of cardiac arrest if she pays quarterly. Hell, I was shocked when she actually filed. She didn't file for years and we know that because she DEFINITELY would have vlogged the experience. She only filed (allegedly) because it was commented on here that she didn't file and, frankly, until I see her 1040 I won't believe she actually ever has. This bitch is too lazy to wash her hair, you think she's capable of filing quarterly? :story::story::story:

Good point. I've only been following her for 6 months, so I assumed taxes had been mentioned in the past, and she must have a CPA who would've done her taxes last year and let her know about the quarterly payments, etc. But of course that doesn't actually mean she'd do it.

I wonder if she's able to write off some of the Torrid, Optavia, etc. as business expenses, since they're for content for her channel.
Edit - I just remembered that Onision got in major trouble for writing off expenses for YouTube that were not allowed, so she should probably not try writing stuff off.

You are giving our gorl entirely too much credit. Her CPA is, at best, H&R Block. She wouldn't know what a deduction is if her life depended on it. You have to understand just how simple this gorl is. She is incapable of properly adulting. She said for the longest time that YouTube paid her taxes for her as though she didn't realize she had to file annually. She got pissed when she had a real job an FICA was taken out because fuck social services...like the one's that raised her ungrateful ass. She's a real piece of stupid work.

Edit:
Why are you guys saying the mystery appointment she had was for taxes? Did Amber said so somewhere?

I didn't think that, but it kind of makes sense now that you say it. I imagine the papers she had to print off would be tax documents. I can't think of any other reason.

I wouldn't be surprised if she completely omitted her YouTube money from taxes altogether for 2017. There's no question that gorl doesn't pay quarterly taxes, or any taxes for that matter. IIRC, independent workers who underpay their taxes must pay penalties (and, obviously, you pay penalties if you don't file but were required to). There is a small penalty added to your tax debt every month that you don't pay it. The general rule for ICs is that you should set aside 1/3 of every paycheck for taxes. For Amberlynn, who is allegedly making 10K per month, that would be 3K x 12 = 36K in unpaid taxes. I mean, she could theoretically file a bankruptcy, but that would only discharge the tax debts if she did not willfully evade paying, such as not filing returns. I would bet 89 elbees that she received a 1099 form from YouTube/Google in 2017 and did not file it.

Would she have to pay taxes on the full amount that she earns on YouTube? Google takes 32% of the money before Amber gets anything.

I've worked as an IC in the past and I would get ass raped by Uncle Sam at the end of each year. I learned to set aside money from each check to off set that. I was given the option to pay quarterly, but I generally didn't as this wasn't my main source of income. The point is that she's too fucking stupid to think about tomorrow, much less a fiscal year into the future.

Since she's getting a 1099-C I imagine that the amount listed on it is post YouTube cut.

But isn't that just, you know, their cut for her use of their platform? I don't think they're taking taxes out for her, but maybe someone with a monetized jewtube channel could weigh in
Youtube doesn't pay taxes for their creators, so I wasn't sure if she would have to pay taxes on the full amount or only what she takes home.

I'm honestly not sure, but it's probably just on what she takes home. YouTube/Google would be responsible for the money they made from the creator. The creator would be responsible for the money they made from YouTube/Google. Again, though, I'm not sure, but that makes sense to me. I'm highly exceptional, though.

@Whatthefuck and @SAVE TWINKIE! are right. Google is taking a cut of the advertising $ that the creators earn on their videos, which is unrelated to taxes. Amberlynn's 10K per month is after Google's cut of the ad money.

No way not for one second do I believe that Amber is taking home $10,000 after Adsense takes their portion.
