There are two spousal privileges. One is that communications between spouses during the period of the marriage are privileged against discovery. The other is a testimonial privilege, that a spouse cannot be compelled to testify against the other spouse. This only applies in criminal cases in Texas.
So in short, no, unless I'm missing some nuance.

I don't feel too badly for him. He has options. Either fire Ron as a client, or make some money off him and see if Ron can get a deal.
Either way, he'd better make sure his shit smells like roses for when Ron files the inevitable ethics complaint against him. I'm almost tempted to feel sorry for him there, but unless he's fucked something up somehow, he'll be fine - just some funny wallpaper to share around the office.
