If I remember correctly, don't con contracts state that you aren't allowed to appear at conventions 60 days before or after within a 50 mile radius of the con you signed a contract with?

Maybe I'm mis-remembering but doesn't this leave a loophole for attending other conventions whilst the convention you're attending is still on? So effectively, Sabat could meet his commitments at the con, leave, and still attend Monica's con.

If I'm remembering correctly and there's no provision made for such a scenario AND Sabat actually realised this, he is the sneakiest Mofo I've ever met and I will not accept any other arguments on this thread for the title of Iago

As usual everything this moron says is completely and utterly incorrect. Starting with "Nick Isn't a Business" Yep Sweetcheeks, he is!
 
In regards to Toei having a say on English VA's, One Piece casting was done with their supervision and final say. Sonny Strait (VA for Usopp and Bardock) mentioned Toei were very particular with how the characters should sound for the English market.

This is at least the case for One Piece (Toei's biggest franchise), which is interesting as this would mean they would have to play a part in recasting the voice of Sabo (Vics Character in One Piece).

Will be interesting to see how this all plays out.

Yea but even Nick has been saying this, They probably just want the Con to go off and not worry about what other people are doing. They don't want money fine. Also remember in his first KC TI vid it was hinted at that the owner may be quitting after this Con.

"Ackshually he only cancelled because of scheduling conflicts so the black-face lawyer is wrong. But even if he did do it intentionally he had a right to because Vic is a pedorapist and he feels unsafe going to his own studio."

Based on the twitter chatter, it sounds like they got refunded for the tour, but not their KC ticket. Not to mention the hotels/travel/etc.

In the commentary on the One Piece DVDs they said they had to send Toei a list of people to choose from and Toei would pick which person got the role. One one or two occasions they would only send one demo tape to Toei and would have to convince them that they were the right pick for the role.

So I have no problem believing that Toei told Funimation they had to hire Vic.
