Why does Tumblr have an obsession with vitiligo?

  • Suicide Girl model and America's Next Top Model contestant have it, spread on Tumblr, that's why.

Guess who.

I don't really have a problem with them making Wonder Woman olive-skinned since she's ethnically Greek, and their skintones can range from pale white to looking almost Latino. It's not gratuitous and it's still very obvious that she's a white woman, just one with a slightly tanner skintone.
Funnily enough, though I guess to many Wonder Woman's race is "white", Diana's race is actually Amazon and she's not even human.

Eh, they're just more tan now if anything. I get that after a while you become hyperaware whenever this happens in tumblr art but outside of that art sphere it's probably not the case that they've been ambiguously racebended.

this isn't the first time DC has tried doing this.
Here's Helena Bertinelli, her ethnicity has always been European, Italian to be exact, and her surname is from Northern Italy.

In 2014, Helena Bertinelli got a skin tone and hair texture change. Even made her lips darker. She's still ethnically Southern European. Now Sicilian instead of Northern Italian. they tried saying that she's now of "African and Italian ancestry" and DC tweeted that Helena is now a "Woman of Color":

if anyone knows the history of Sicily and their DNA tests, many Sicilians can be very mixed ethnically and usually score about 70-90% European and 10-20% Middle Eastern/North African DNA. Some may even have very small amounts of Sub-Saharan African ancestry due to the Moors slave trade and maybe some ancient Roman slavery stuff. But it's usually no more than like 5-10%. And if a Sicilian has Non-European ancestry it's almost always just Middle Eastern/North African.

By American standards people of Middle Eastern and North African ancestry are still classified as "white", just more olive skinned just like Greeks, Southern Italians and other Mediterranean Europeans. North Africa is part of Africa, and Sicilians can have North African ancestry, so DC's writers aren't wrong in saying her she's of African and Italian ancestry now. BUT North Africans and Middle Easterners are classified as "white people" in USA so obviously DC's writers are trying to make up lies for "diversity points".

In fact, when Helena Bertinelli was cast in a new DC movie, they got the pale, Anglo-Saxon "Mary Elizabeth Winstead" to play her and the Mary Sue wrote an article about "whitewashing".

DC originally wanted to make Helena Bertinelli look different from "Helena Wayne" show below.

That person is a favorite personal lolcow of mine, she was mentioned briefly on the Militant Shippers thread back when her blog was Deltarune themed and went by dykerouxls, her blog got terminated for telling a group of shippers to a hero just because she considered a character in said ship an ""abuser"". Later on she remade and she's still learned absolutely nothing from last time. She's also mentioned going to therapy after the incident (but i'm pretty sure she deleted the posts because I can't find them anywhere on her blog now). I'm pretty sure a thread could be made on her considering she's turning 18 this year and gets into drama every month, but I'm too much of a lazy fuck to make it. Considering that you said that the only thing she posts in the Discord server is pride related, is the server one of those LGBT fandom servers? If so then it's guaranteed that it's going to be an autistic shitshow.

Her partner (who now goes by gothstud) is also a bit of a spaz but she isn't really that interesting in terms of tard cum and she stays under the radar unlike her girlfriend.

By the way, you can just edit your reply to get rid of the quoting mistake.

Oh wow, oh lol. I don't even know this chick any where else other than the bfdi server, im kinda interested in what shit she gets herself into.
Also nah i wouldn't say it one of those LGBT+ discord servers. (this server is actually the official discord server for bfdi.)
I wouldn't say the creators of the show are sjw themselves since i haven't seen them ever get political, but I'd imagine bfdi attracted so many sjws because they can easily apply their head canons on these characters who don't have too much to them, (kinda like the homestuck fandom does where the fans slap a label on any character because their "up for interpretation"). I guess the creators are just stuck with these fans really who only really like the show due to how much of their head canons they can insert into these characters.

Also yes that server is very autistic, the fans there take the show way too seriously and sperg on about it.

Not sjw but ridiculous

(Tiny image holy shit)

I love how deep they try to go for a show that looks like this:

Has anyone heard of "DC Superhero Girls"?
My little cousin loves them, they're like the Bratz but for DC Superheroes. They have their own mini cartoons shorts. Anyways she likes Wonder Woman and I noticed something. Lauren Faust the new showrunner decided to darker her skintone. Wonder Woman's suppose to be of Greek demigoddess so I guess they can be darker skinned.

But I have a feeling that there was some "skin color diversity" motive behind this.

This was Wonder Woman in 2015:

After Lauren Faust was announced as the new showrunner/writer:

Honestly having seen clips here and there, if more SJWs handled the diversity the way this show does people would probably have a lot less complaints.

It's not my thing (the animation seems a bit on the cheap side and I don't like the "rough imitation pencil linework combined with obvious Flash/ToonBoom animation" look they went with) but at least all the characters come off as likeable and scenes like this are cute. If kids like it I can see why.
