Weeb Wars / AnimeGate / #KickVic / #IStandWithVic / #vickicksback - General Discussion Thread

Idk about JT, but the other 3 are trash tier.

If Shame is talking about the Japan Times article, we know that Japan Times collaborated with the Anime Feminist in the past and the author of this article, Roland Kelts, communicated with Lynzee Loveridge. Not to mention that Kelts follows ANN, fat Mike Toole, and freakin' Zac Bretschy on Twitter. He's been following them long before Weeb Wars was a thing.

Doesn't he have an in home studio? I remember lots of comments about not seeing each other a lot on other work.

He either recorded it at home, or whatever the fuck Viz uses out in California. Viz is insulated from the Texas horseshit.

I wanna say Aniplex is too, but ya know.... Sony.

"Everyone has lawyers. It is why no one is scared"

I :) can :) think :) of :) someone :) who :) is :) scared.

Shane brags about a six figure income, I could say the same. However, after expenses and taxes (I don't carry debt); I live very modestly, drive older cars and live pretty much paycheck to paycheck.

Unless I make at least twice what I make now, I couldn't afford a retainer to defend against a BHBH lawsuit of this caliber and it is readily apparent that their case is so horrible that a paperboy wouldn't take this on contingency.

The case BHBH is bringing will ruin Shane, just in legal costs. It will devastate his family(ies) and bury him so deep, magma will be licking at his butt. Shane, buddy, this isn't your fight. Get off the tracks before that bearded train smears your grease from here to Christmas.

I extremely doubt it. Maybe Vic finished recording Rohan's line in LA then headed to Kameha Con.

He probably had them finished some time ago, but just received approval for all of them. I would imagine that occasionally they request that some of the lines be redone or that they have a few changes that get made that need to be re-recorded.

Funimation still streams them on their website:

https://www.funimation.com/shows/rurouni-kenshin/ (Funimation's shit doesn't archive well)

I'm bringing this up because:

If Funimation picks up the new Kenshin movies, they're directly paying a convicted pedophile. Yet they cut ties with a voice actor accused of kissing people on the cheek without consent.

While i hope this happens, i fear that Ty will not even consider suing Shame at all, as he is probably in BHBH's eyes, even lower than a worm

Shane may like to think of these shitty people as "journalists," but I think "defendants" has a better ring to it.

I think it's too late for Shane. If he had backed off a month ago, after that Nick stream, his name would still be a joke but he'd be spared the onslaught on the horizon. But now he's forced himself way too deep. I am sure he's been trying to talk to people at KC about Vic. I imagine that he's privately talked with other actors in all of this.

And what on earth did he expect to get out of all this? Would it have even been worth it?
