While I agree, he has tried awful hard to insert himself in the suit and Nick has dropped hints that he has paper coming.

He could sit down, shut up and maybe get deposed or he could double down and be sucked into the conspiracy and defamation causes.

NEVER DRINK TEQUILA WITH MONICA! Now they are going after Travis?! I mentioned in my old posts on twitter that Laura Bailey, Troy Baker and Travis were lucky to get out of FUNI when they did, especially after Troy made a joke about Caitlyn Jenner.

I liked her as Momoko in Ghost Stories, but that's the only show I know her from. She did okay as Belarus in Hetalia, but it wasn't exactly a hard role since she just had to make herself sound nuts.

Her ADR director should have told her to stop using the nasal headvoice, that method of breathing and speaking doesn't allow you to get a croaking verbal tic quality from your performance.

She's not pinching her nose while she does this, she's killing her vocal chords to give a ever worse performance by closing her throat and stressing her voice's treble.

If any ADR director worth salt heard you doing this for a female character that's not a "social reject basement dweller", they'd slap you and make you do it again.

It's a voice killer.

It sounds like it, because they are. In ADR, the drastic difference between performances of characters is based how much someone is "putting on" the voice.

Some actors can just be lazy, but the mixer is meant to cover it up as much as possible in post. Some performances, sadly, can't be salvaged altogether.

Brittany Karbowski's performances across Funi dubs is really good example of "can't cover up the sameness." because of how flat her vocal performance is.


If you listen very closely, you can hear it. It's that gravely, sand-paper mouthfeel.

That's the condenser mic filter registering her sliding between mezzo-soprano (70% of most voice roles) and her natural contralto. It's very noticeable when her character is meant to be panicking or screaming.

She's not making her voice "whole", she's stressing her larynx and esophageal passages and forcing air into her nasal cavity and out her vocal cords -- that "sand-paper" result is her voice resonating through bone and not the air.

It's called head-voicing and it's annoying as fuck -- but it gets a pass because normal people don't notice this, normally.

Rial suffers from this as well, but she dips between soprano and mezzo-soprano instead and doesn't head-voice her shrill timbre and adds contralto bass control behind it while voicing from the diaphragm -- which is the correct method.


Do it wrong, and you destroy your vocal cords, causing nodules to form from scarring.

Fun fact: this is how a black metal scream mechanically functions vocally.
