Watched it for the first time last year since it's on Netflix. Had to fight myself to stay awake the entire 94 episodes.

They also tried to fuck with metal but got called out pretty fast. mostly because metal is a european thing and everybody loves the female bands and Doro is the only female top tier rock star.

It's one of the few anime I've actually rage quit. A friend tried to get me to watch it with him and we got to like the second to last season. Then Kenshin started projecting his own problems onto other people in a way that made me think the writer was not aware of how hypocritical the dialog was.

It's a tactic since GamerGate where they think not saying the name doesn't grant it power. Basically they're being retarded.

It's also something to make it hard for people to search, but eh, it's mostly the Voldemort thing.

to be honest it was good at points, and there are two OVA's made based off the series and one of them, trust and betrayal is really great actually. it takes a very brief part of the manga and fleshes it out and uses a tolerable, good writing style and the animation is beautiful even and especially by todays standards

shouldve spent my topic-unrelated reply on you but, if you can ignore the fact the writer is a nonce give the trust and betrayal OVA a shot. it's genuinely good, 4 episodes. nothing remotely resembling the anime
