Nick gives his thoughts on Shane appearance here.

And the worst part is Shane's own words on the subject lend credence to such an allegation.
@Not A Bug has already shared allegations himself about Shane and if we're to operate as such - since Shane himself was fired for abusing his station - then clearly everything @Not A Bug said is true, right? Shane would agree with that logic, right?

Shane has probably inadvertently done more damage to the KickVic side more than any of the main players in this whole fiasco, all due to a mix of self-righteous arrogance and massively unwarranted overconfidence and I think he's gonna be the weak link that ultimately sinks KickVic beyond any hope of victory or salvation, and it's mainly because he's an arrogant idiot and a pompous braying jackass.

If the Weeb Wars are the Culture War's Battle of Gettysburg, then Shane is General Pickett.

So with Shane admitting his wife is damaged goods (coincidentally enough, another lolcow in the anime circle describes his girlfriend that way as well), just what does he mean by that? Her son(s?) is from a previous relationship, but what was that relationship like? Apparently it didn't end well if she ended up marrying him instead. Is he implying the boys are the result of rape or an abusive relationship? Or is he like Russell Greer in that a single mother is "damaged goods" because he wasn't the first to take her virginity and now has to help raise someone else's kids?

The fact Shane has to talk about his wife like she’s ‘spoiled milk’ when people are questioning why he’s dating someone not even half his age is what’s weird. The question asked was why was he dating such a young person and he responds by undermining his wife. That’s a huge red flag
Edit: mil.k changes to tard cum?? Lmao

Why is he also sharing gross sexual details nobody asked for? What a creepy dude. Who wants to hear their friend say his daughter (who he married practically the instant she was no longer underage) sucks a mean dick online to a bunch of people who hate him? Who does that?

Sociopaths with no concept of morals or basic decency.

"Comicsgate was totally a failure guise, and so will Animegate"

:doubt:

Gamergate was kind of a failure given that the big-wigs like Anita and crew got to make a lot of money and cozy their way into the tech commissars' good graces, and as Null pointed out, that was because GG was too cocky and disorganized.

Comicsgate was looking like it would go down the same route Gamergate did until the most recent lawsuit dropped and combined with Marvel's flagging sales (and the lower bar of entry in making successful comics as opposed to video games) and it seems to be a case of a tactical stalemate but a strategic victory in the long run, especially once the MCU bubble bursts and Disney stops churning out capeshit movies ad nauseam

Weeb Wars is still ongoing but it is looking it will be the major turning point. The mainstream media and tech commissars aren't really that involved in it (if at all) so the SJW woke-meisters don't have the media to fall back on like they did with Gamergate and can't control the narrative as easily.

Anime is also not as colonized by the hipsters and dangerhairs who serve as the cannon fodder in the culture wars like comic books and video games are, meaning there is more resistance naturally than there was in comics and gaming.

Tellingly, when geek culture went mainstream in the early 2010's, it was cool to like superheroes but it was not cool to like anime, and weeb shaming probably became more prevalent than it was before geek went chic.

You don't see a lot of anime references on Big Bang Theory like you do with comic books and Star Wars, know what I mean?

Even the usual suspects like Anita Sarkeesian, Vice, and Buzzfeed haven't said jack shit about any of this for the most part, and the normies are feeling a sense of paranoid fatigue from being bombarded by a constant stream of male celebrities getting #MeToo'd since 2017 with no real pause that they didn't pay attention when a niche figure like Vic was accused.

Vic also has not been criminally charged or investigated in any of this, and unlike previous men who were #MeToo'd on either false or heavily exaggerated claims (Aziz Ansari, Al Franken), he didn't apologize, admit guilt, or concede defeat. He remained polite and kept cool, but fought back by lawyering up and taking the accusers to civil court, an arena where Twitter likes and having the proper "woke" thoughts won't do jack shit for them.

Unlike Gamergate, which was disorganized and cast too wide of a net with no real tangible goal or strategy, the Weeb Wars are focused and tangible, mainly focused on clearing Vic's name and putting all the bad actors involved on the spot (and likely removing them from the anime industry in the long run as a result) which would likely prevent anime from going full woke like comics and gaming did.

Because anime wasn't fully colonized by the hipsters and dangerhairs yet, it's easier to spot the SJW bad actors than it was with other hobbies and we can act in a more concentrated way, with tangible goals and objectives.

The KickVic smear campaign and the whole "broken stairs" bullshit was probably the first major step to bring anime fandom under their control and it's visibly backfiring horribly.

We may win this in the long run, but even after the lawsuits are finally settled, we have got a long way ahead of us before the pendulum swings back. It will likely get worse before it gets better, but there's finally a ray of light at the end of this tunnel.

In previous posts, I compared the Culture Wars to the American Civil War and I will further that analogy a little bit. In this analogy, we're like the Union, the SJW's are like the Confederacy, and the normies and casual geeks are like Britain and France (the only way the SJW's can realistically win is by getting the public on their side, much as the Confederacy's long-term strategy was to get the European powers on their side)

Gamergate was our Bull Run. We underestimated the upstarts and lost the battle, looking foolish and giving them a massive boost of confidence in achieving their goals.

Comicsgate was our Antietam. We've been locked in a bloody stalemate but the enemy has worn themselves down in the process so badly that it will likely be a tactical victory for them but a long-term strategic victory for us as the general public is starting to grow weary of them and the public opinion is starting to turn against them.

The Weeb Wars will be our Gettysburg, the point of no return for both sides. They are going to use their same strategies as before, but with fewer resources and greater resistance as they push deeper into uncharted enemy territory and due to their overconfidence, they will exert themselves too far and be crushed, forcing them to go on defense until they finally falter.

I shudder at what cultural battleground will be our Petersburg Campaign or the Burning of Atlanta. Maybe tabletop gaming or sci-fi literature? Who knows at this point.

TL;DR-Never give up. We might actually win this one.

Hasn't Magic: The Gathering and the like been infected as well? Thought I was hearing something about it.

Sci-fi literature is probably just going to be a continuation of what's been going on in the literature community (specifically the YA community) in that they're already eating themselves alive over muh diversity in literature.

Yeah, Magic: The Gathering and tabletop RPG's have been horribly infected as well, which is why it may be our Petersburg and Atlanta campaigns if we're using the Civil War analogy.

Both Petersburg and Atlanta happened after the Confederacy was turned back at Gettysburg and unlike Bull Run, Antietam, or Gettysburg, in those battles, the Confederates were on defense while the Union were the ones taking back vital territories that the CSA took control of during the initial secession.

Both Atlanta and Petersburg were of key strategic importance to the Confederate war effort as both were among the only major railroad hubs in the South (the third was Chattanooga, which fell around the same time frame) at the time and the majority of what little industry the CSA had were concentrated in those two towns and when they lost those battles, the CSA lost any chance it had of surviving the war, let alone actually winning it.

So if we win the Weeb Wars, that may be the first real major wake-up call to disinfect tabletop gaming and genre literature since by that point, the general public and greater fandom will be fully sick of their bullshit (so they can't win in the court of public opinion) and when combined with losing profits (Get Woke, Go Broke), companies like Wizards of the Coast, Paizo, GenCon, and the book publishers will kick the SJW curators out so they can actually make money again, while the more ideologically committed groups (Onyx Path, Green Ronin, etc.) will likely go under and have any of their valuable IP's bought up by the larger companies.

(I suppose the demise of SJW Marvel and the lofty and very long-term goal of disinfecting video games would be our Surrender at Appomattox and Reconstruction respectively)

Hey just so y'all know, Shane will block accounts that follow him that have NO TWEETS, probably because he's so paranoid about Kiwis archiving him that he's trying to stop the leaks. An interesting idea, though a fruitless one.
How is he going to be able to stop the leaks when his Twitter account is public?
