Introduction

Janet Mary Eldred is a lolcow who has been providing consistent content since the late 90's. She is best known for her extremist feminist views, stalking of authors and dubious military service. Over the years Janet pioneered many of the lolcow tropes we now take for granted. She has been filing fake DMCA reports for two decades, she has been doxing people since at least 2003 and was the first lolcow I ever saw to use PTSD as an excuse for her antisocial behavior. Janet’s extremism has isolated her from any would be allies and today she is pointedly ignored by a new generation of feminists who view her brand of radical feminism as an embarrassment, or even hate speech. Ironically, for a person who cares so much for her intellectual legacy, her abuse of the DMCA has all but erased her presence from the internet.

Janet's world view is shaped by radical feminists like Susan Brownmiller and Andrea Dworkin. She views the Patriarchy as an active plot by men to keep women enslaved and weak. Men's rights activists, gamergate supporters and sex positive feminists are all agents of this grand conspiracy. She presents herself as a modern John Brown; Ready to storm the arsenal and lead women into a liberated future. Unfortunately for Janet, sperging on the internet isn’t an effective form of activism and what she has actually done is spend the last 20 years of her life locked in a losing battle with an imaginary enemy. Today Janet’s life stands as a monument to failure, and the danger of wasting your entire life online.

With 20 years of content Janet can be a bit overwhelming. I would recommend reading her social media as an introduction. The screenshots in the OP are also a good starting point. They represent a cross section of Janet's online activity including many things she tried to remove from the internet.

In the interests of fairness here is how Janet describes herself:

Early Years

Janet went online before the advent of archival tools, so what we know about her early history is limited. She started out on USENET’s feminist forums. She was also active on the Straight Dope and Ms. Magazine forums. Lissamine Green provided an excellent history of the M.S. Forums and their collapse due to Radfem/Tranny Drama. In 2001 she created her fanfiction.net account writing adult stories about teen characters from the Spike/Buffy children's show. This was when she adopted Ginmar as her Nom De Guerre and she has stuck to that name ever since.

Fanfiction.net would be her first small breakthrough. It was here that she found a group of like minded censors, eager to act as the fanfiction police. When they weren't writing adult interpretations of children's shows, they were in the forums demanding that writers they didn’t like be banned for moral or ideological reasons.

One contentious discussion asked if fictional stories about real people should be allowed. Janet said no, and somehow compared these stories to Rape and their supporters to holocaust deniers. ‘Real person fic is Rape’ would become a meme on Fanfiction.net leading to even more sperging. The mods responded to the controversy by banning all stories featuring explicit sex between characters fictional or not. Most of Janet's stories were deleted and she moved to a LiveJournal site: ginmar.livejournal.com which she continues to use to this day.

You would assume that Janet was a teenager given her interests and interactions, but Janet was in fact a 40-year-old woman arguing with children on the internet. Janet's arguments were mostly personal anecdotes or schoolyard taunts. She bragged about traveling to France and Russia and boasted of her military service every chance she got. If not for this last fact Janet would be just another emotionally stunted fan fiction writer. But history was catching up with her. In 2003 when the United States invaded Iraq, Janet announced that she was shipping out, and she was taking her blog with her.

War Stories

A post naming her Unit and MOS

Initially the only people who read her blog were her fanfiction buddies. But as the war progressed Janet’s stories became more harrowing and her audience grew. During the Mahdi uprising she posted a personal account that had her small team facing off against impossible odds and surviving. This post was widely quoted and shared bringing her to the world's attention. With greater attention came greatly scrutiny, and well informed people started noticing inconsistencies in Janet's stories. She misused military terms and appeared unfamiliar with military policy and standing orders.

A debate would erupt between her supporters, who believed everything she had written, and her detractors who believed that she was at best a paper pusher, and at worst a civilian committing a hoax. This doubt has only gotten stronger over time as Janet's war stories adapt to fit the news cycle. It is simply impossible for an enlisted person to be in all the places Janet claims to have visited during her tour. Despite the skepticism, Janet's blog continued to be cited as authoritative by liberals eager for an inside view of the war. The inconsistencies could be explained by the need for operational security, and people are hesitant to press their political allies. Janet returned in late 2005 and announced she was writing a book about her experiences.

The Alamo is over-rated as a tourist attraction, dammit
We just got back on base. For a while there, I didn’t think that would happen. We got ambushed yesterday, except it was a twenty-one hour ambush. We made CNN, except of course they got it wrong. They said that the Ukrainians have left my city. This is not true. We had to evacuate the compound. If you see first a clip of a guy in a white shirt running carrying an AK next to a railing, that's my city. That bridge behind them? The insurgents mined it.

At about four AM the other day, the Ukrainian force rode out the gate and took back the town. At nine thirty we rolled out, arrived at our usual destination, and by ten thirty, we were under fire. We were in a compound of five or six major buildings, large enough to be hotels, not quite large enough to be palaces, that had once been owned by Chemical Ali.

We started out on the roofs, looking for snipers. But RPGs and mortar fire forced us down and as we retreated, the shooters started hitting the building more often because they were walking their weapons closer. Eventually, our safe area was reduced to just one hallway in a central building.

I have never been so scared in my life. Scared doesn’t cover it: terrified doesn’t, either. I'd never known it was possible to be terrified and be totally calm. I’d look around, seeing the trails of weapons, seeing the F-16s overhead---they never dropped bombs, they just flew around------and then look down and see the chameleons running in the grass. And then you’d hear the thump of another mortar round, but you don’t really hear those---you feel them, somehow. They’re loud enough to make you flinch, and these were all close----I saw one land in front of me at about three thirty AM, no more than fifty meters away.

My captain didn’t know I heard him say what he just said. “Honestly, last night, I think every one of us thought that was it, that we weren’t going to make it back. It was that bad.”

We faced a force of four to five hundred rebels, with mortars, RPGs and various handheld weapons. There were four US soldiers---myself and the other people in my team----about twenty Ukrainian soldiers, and thirty or so scared British and Aussie expats, including the British governor. The Ukrainian soldiers had a couple tank/hybrid vehicles, but they didn’t have much ammo for them. By midnight, everyone was running out. We kept impressing this on Higher, and they just couldn’t get that through their heads. What the fuck good are they? We are running out of ammo. We will be over-run if light hits this place in the morning and finds us still here.

More than that, it was the concrete reality that you were going to die. I felt that a few times yesterday, last night, and this morning. Escape attempt after attempt fell through, and those mortars started hitting the grounds, the gate, the vehicles. The enemy sent word that when darkness fell, they were going to over-run the compound and exterminate everyone there. The whole Iraqi security force just up and quit. One guy claimed that his mother had had a heart attack and he had to go home. I heard that on the radio myself. It’s the dog-ate-my-schoolwork excuse as applied to battle.

Fallujah was on everyone’s mind, but nobody---thank God----said it.

I can’t even grasp that we lived through it. I don’t think it’s hit me yet.

What makes it worse was that we kept trying to get reinforcements and air cover and evac, and eventually we had to do it ourselves. We called up around 1500 because it became apparent that we weren’t going to get out, requesting air cover. We thought it would be over by 1700. By then, though, we realized something else was going on---darkness falls at seven. We heard that the whole province was under control, and that Sadr’s representatives had offered a cease fire while they negotiated. No other government building in the province was not under his control. Our little force, outmanned and outgunned, held him off for better than twenty hours, and then slipped out under his nose. He wanted to keep us there, be his bargaining chips while he tightened his fist around the province. And that fucking governor went along with it. We eventually found out the governor was contacting the command and telling them, no, no Evac behind our backs. He wanted US Marines dropped off and the civilians put in the helicopters while they secured his villa and offices. His own people were running around trying to arrange Evac, and kept counter-manding him. Then he’d go on the air and countermand them. I kept overhearing conversations I wasn’t supposed to hear.

I can’t describe what it’s like. You’re wearing twenty pounds of gear in helmet and vest, and the sound the bombs make screeching in seems not so much audible as it sensory. You feel it first. You know what sound a bullet makes going through the air? SWWWWWiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiisssssssssssssssssssssssshhhhh. It seems to burrow through the air with an odd slowness, as if it were greasy and that makes it slip through the air. If I were 11 Bravo, I’d have earned my combat infantrymen’s badge, except of course the fact that I’m a woman means I don’t get stuff like that. The way the Army has it set up, it doesn’t matter if you do the job, if you’re a woman----you’re not supposed to do it, so you don’t get acknowledgement if you do.

We didn’t sleep last night. The cease fire lasted seven hours. The attack resumed at one AM with RPGs and machine guns opening up on us from across the other bank of the river. We kept calling to Higher for Air Support, for Evac, for reinforcements. They’d say, “Sure, they’re on their way…” Twenty minutes later, we’d find out--not be told---that in fact they weren’t. This happened about eight times. During the time they weren’t reinforcing us, the enemy mined the bridge that’s the sole way out of there with IEDs. Then Higher ordered us to Evac our way across that bridge. It was explained to them over and over that the bridge was mined. They’d listen, then issue the order again.

The worse attempted rescue was the first attempt because that one actually got off the ground. We could see that bridge that led to base, and the other unit from base offered to convoy in and get us, and the cease fire negotiators agreed to it.

They were attacked before they even got to the bridge. And we had to watch it happen. That was the last time we got our hopes up. Everyone uses tracers, but different colors, so we could see who was attacking and so on. After that, the attackers blocked everything off with vehicles. An SUV got hit by an RPG at the gate to the compound, and we left it burning there because it kept them out as well as kept us in.

You can’t think of home and things like that during lulls. I found that out. After a few hours under attack, hope just gets too cruel---and impossible. Every lull gets your hopes up, as does every plan for evacuation. “Oh, God, it’s quiet.“ Bullets, mortars, all those things make you flinch deep down inside, automatically, on some almost genetic level. Things like warm beds and cats become utter impossibilities, in the face of gunfire dodged while on your belly in the dirt, the reality of death in a narrow hallway. You can’t believe then that such things exist. You just want a refuge, but they become impossible dreams. I stopped believing that there are cats and beds. In my world during that battle, I had crumbling buildings and a narrow hallway. Nothing good existed in that world, and the worst part was there was no way from that hallway to any other place. That was my world, my environment. Everything else was erased. You just shut down, and think of nothing else. You can’t. It’s too painful. That’s the only time I came close to feeling sorry for myself. It’s the little things----purring cats and beds. I had time to wonder even then what other things become impossibilities when your situation is bad enough. I think combat probably produces the worst symptoms the fastest, because let’s face it….there’s nothing worse. Over time, I think lesser situations probably produce the same hopelessness. All three of the other guys got wounded slightly----nothing much. I wasn’t one of them, obviously. One guy fell down when an RPG whistled too close and fell, but he’s okay. Everybody else got chipped by flying bricks and mortar, stuff like that. We had one guy who got clipped on the head a little bit closer than I did. That bullet gave him a permanent part to his hair, a real good story to tell---assuming he can ever put it into words----and took one of his nine lives. A Ukrainian soldier died, and two were wounded. Two Iraqi guards stayed with us. I’m very impressed with that. Everyone else fled. I can’t believe we made it out of there. I just can’t. I was the only woman there. Even at the end, the governor was still playing games. We worked it out with the Ukrainians to get out, and Mark refused to go. He wanted to negotiate or whatever. With people like this? I’m sorry, but Sadr just has that Jim Jones glint in his eye, except with well-armed followers. Furthermore, they’re a lot more hostile than Jones’ followers were, too. I kept thinking that we were going to have a Fallujah repeat on our hands, except perhaps they weren’t going to wait till we were dead. And I didn’t want my brother to go through that. I mean, I’d have been dead. If it looked really bad, I’m sure I could have saved some rounds, and even then, it would have had to have to be they’re-on-the-other-side-of-the-door-with-an-RPG-and-there’s-five-people-left-bad. That’s what we kept thinking in that hallway. They’re going to pound the building to dust around us, and then open that door. We’ll pour fire at them, and they’ll back off. Then they’ll aim everything right at this door. Some people might live through that. Then what? What about “Leave no man behind”? But waiting for that door to open gave me an ulcer. The other thing was that some of these guys were just fucking fools. At night, when you’re surrounded by the enemy, light is another enemy. So some dumb fuck turned on a light in the vestibule. One fucker turned on the light in his room, which shone right out into the hallway of the building and right across the river. Great way to give the enemy something to sight on, dimwad. And these guys were all ex-military! One guy insisted on loading up his SUV with the contents of his entire room, managing to set off his car alarm as he did so. Three times. I found myself ordering him to turn everything off and get the fuck away from the car, and emphasizing the point with my rifle. He wound up being the person who ran back to grab one last thing on the way out, thereby delaying the convoy. Even at the last minute, the governor still didn’t want to go with. Higher finally had a sharp remark for him. “Ask him what he wants us to do with the remains?” Speeding out of the compound, I had a glance back at the walls, which had huge vehicle-sized scorch marks on them from direct hits. Even when we were finally underway and going at a good speed, this git of a governor didn’t seem capable of grasping the significance of that damage to his compound. He sped up in front of the convoy, then came to a dead stop, making the whole group sitting ducks. And he either didn’t care or didn’t know. All he knew was that we weren’t doing what he wanted us to. They say women don’t belong in combat. I don’t think that anybody does, frankly. But after today, the only thing I can say is that this woman doesn’t belong anywhere where she has to listen to twits have conversations like this: “Our ammo situation is red. Over.” “Oh.” “Come morning, we will be over-run, with high casualties. The enemy has stated they will eliminate everyone in the compound. Over. Have you relayed my last transmission to Higher?” “Roger that, over.” And then nothing. “What was their response?” There was none. We were running out of rounds, and they just didn’t do anything. We did have choppers and the occasional F-16, but Mark wouldn’t allow them to drop any bombs. He never did explain why. All I know is, when I looked up at the chopper, and it was close enough to see the pilot’s profile in the sunset, I thought that was as close as I was going to get to getting out. I can’t do anything but repeat myself, now, so I’m just going to go shake. http://www.livejournal.com/users/ginmar/256570.html#cutid1

She had an anxiety disorder that prevented her from driving. So when her CO tells her to suck it up it's a conspiracy against her.

724828

The mystery of how she was able to get past the Army's network filters is simple, she was using KBR's network. This was right as a scandal involving her unit was breaking on Capital Hill. So the Army wasn't just being paranoid about security.

Someone at her post confirms that it's just her section, not the whole base getting cut off.

Return from Iraq.

Janet returned to the states in 2005 with a small but devoted following. She declared her intention to write a book and join the other bloggers entering the political world. However, once she was back in the States she went right back to her old habits: Posting multi page rants about how Steve Irwin had it coming, women were literal slaves to men and how the US military was as bad as Al Qaeda. When she noticed people unsubscribing from her blog, she followed them to their social media to yell at them, insult them and demand they get back in line. This outburst would cost Janet most of her remaining followers. From this point forward Janet's life has been a desperate attempt to reclaim the relevance and authority she believes are owed to her. Unfortunately for Janet, squandering opportunities is the one thing she is good at.

724878724879724880724882724885724884724893

Political Activism:

This was when Democrats were preparing for the 2006 midterms. Markos Moulitsas had started Blogpac and the Dailykos.com to recruit left leaning bloggers into the mainstream. Janet was an early adopter at the Dailykos creating an account in October 2004. With her blog and military experience, she expected to be treated like a big player. Popular sentiment was turning against the war and democrats were looking for veterans who could present their antiwar platform from a position of personal authority. Unfortunately, Janet was still as unbalanced and aggressive as she had ever been. She could not get along with people and her brand of feminism had become a liability to the left. The DNC wanted a younger more marketable feminism politically in line with their platform. Janet was left screaming incoherently in the Dailykos slush pile while women like Amanda Marcotte and Jessica Valenti were pushed into the public spotlight. Janet would never forget this, and her hate for third wave feminists is as raw as her hate for MRAs. She would funnel her rage into increasingly incoherent rants on the Daily Kos and other left wing sites, slowly accumulating bans as she went.

Missed opportunities:

The DNC weren't the only ones recruiting from the internet. 2005 marked the publication of Twilight. This book sparked a gold rush as publishers signed fanfiction writers to produce ‘original’ stories for the expanding romance market. Writers like Jenny Trout, Cassandra Clare and EL James were plucked from obscurity.

Janet, who had been writing erotic vampire fiction before it was cool, didn't make the cut. Her jealousy of more successful authors has led to years of stalking and abuse towards those she feels are undeserving and constant attempts to get noticed by writers she sees as peers. The constant drama around Janet would earn her a following from Fanwank and Fail Fandom Anon. These groups tracked drama and lolcows in the fandom and during their run Janet was a frequent topic of discussion.

Job history -- No visible means of support.

Janet’s education and employment history are questionable. She brags about her lack of formal education, and is vague about her work experience. Janet exaggerates every aspect of her biography to hide her lack of accomplishments: She writes fan fiction, so she calls herself an author. She was in the army reserve, so she claims to be a retired soldier. She studied ballet in school, so she calls herself a retired ballerina. Referring to herself as blue collar without specifying a trade sounds like a person with no marketable skills attempting to sound competent. Posts on the old FanWank boards claim that in the 90’s she was working for a Russian women's rights group. If she follows her typical pattern she volunteered at a charity and later claimed it was paid position. People who have met Janet say she worked as a security guard in Minneapolis or in a sex shop in LA’s Echo Park.

Unusual for a lolcow, Janet does speak multiple languages, owns several properties and has traveled extensively throughout Europe. How someone who is unable to hold a job was able to travel so freely is a mystery. She does own two homes, and recently sold a third, so her finical circumstances may have been better in the past. There was a strong suspicion that she had never actually worked an hourly job was just larping as a working class drone while living off family money. Even if this was true once, it’s clear she ran out of money by middle age.

But working is for normies anyway....

Janet’s war with the VA.

When Janet got back from the war she started claiming crippling PTSD, and told everyone that she was unable to work, forever. PTSD would become her excuse for everything. As far as she was concerned her working life was over and the Army owed her a tugboat.

The VA disagreed. After reviewing her medical history, they diagnosed her with an acute anxiety disorder and a personality disorder unrelated to her combat experience. To get benefits, Janet had to commit to a treatment plan with a goal to reenter the workforce. She had to check in with a doctor regularly, attend personal and group therapy and show progress with her treatment.

This kicked off a multiyear fight with the VA. Janet didn’t want treatment, she wanted cash and validation. To Janet PTSD meant that she wasn’t responsible for anything she did. Like any cluster B basketcase she knew that everyone else was the problem. After her constant appeals to the chain of command and doctor shopping went nowhere, she remembered a Humvee accident (later an IDE) so severe she had forgotten about it for five years. If mental health wasn’t going to get her a tugboat then her physical injuries would.

The VA disagreed, after reviewing her medical history, they diagnosed her with arthritis, a common problem among morbidly obese middle-aged sedentary women and unrelated to her combat experience. They prescribed exercise and weight loss. Janet was not amused.

Finally, in 2008 just before she was about to lose her benefits, she declared victory; She had beaten the VA. They were going to give her benefits and help her reenter the workforce. In addition, she would get regular check ins with a doctor, personal and group therapy and a caseworker to track her progress. After years of drama Janet outsmarted the VA and won her case. Suspicions have arisen that she is getting the same SSI tardbux as everyone else on this site while claiming to be a fully disabled vet.

Doxing.

Janet claims to be a frequent doxxxing target of the MRA Nazi cabal. Suspiciously all the dox posted online for her were fake. Janet herself has no problem doxing people she doesn’t like and will sometimes spend weeks following a person around the internet posting ‘anonymous’ warnings to other users along with any dox she can find on them. Several writers have reported getting incoherent emails sent to their workplaces after arguing with Janet online. If one of you have any emails, I would love to add them to this OP.

Janet also owns a second house, this confused me for a while since she keeps referring to her tenant as her room mate. I suspect she does this to keep up the image of a destitute writer.

Interference with Actual Writers

The birth of sites like goodreads and booklikes provided a place for people to talk about books on a social network. It also created a forum for failed writers to organize against authors they felt unworthy of success. These critics will scour every inch of an author's work attempting to find objectionable topics or opinions. Janet is a typical case. She never published anything, but she calls herself a writer and expects people to take her opinions on writing seriously. Because Janet is blind to things like theme and structure, she concentrates her criticism on the author and the subject of their books. Anyone who doesn’t soothe and flatter her will be branded a badly behaving author and can expect months, if not years, of abuse. Like Winterfox, Janet and her friends concentrate on newer smaller writers where a small group can succeed in damaging that writer's sales and reputation. Unlike Winterfox, Janet is not great at picking her targets. Just a few examples:

Michael Z. Williamson is a libertarian warfic writer whose wardrobe has more handguns then ties. A retired air force officer, he was one of Janet's first critics, pointing out inconsistencies in her war stories all the way back in 2004. He would continue to show up in the comments section of blogs where she was mentioned, putting a damper on her heroic autobiography. She raged at him for stalking and abusing a veteran, he put her in one of his books as a literal shitbird. When Janet’s 15 minutes of fame ended Williamson went back to ignoring her.

Lloyd Lofthouse is a combat veteran with experience in Vietnam and the California public school system, he retired in 2005 with the rank of English teacher. His first book was published in 2007, earning several awards and special mentions. For whatever reason this book’s sequel attracted the attention of social justice types who started spreading rumors about him and agitating for his removal from book festivals. Lofthouse had already spent twenty years of his life around excitable children, Janet’s friends were not going to intimidate him. He hit back, calling one of their workplaces to confirm employment, presumably before sending a cease and desist letter. While most of the social justice mob decided to pick on an easier target. Janet doubled down spending 2012-2013 obsessing over him. Lofthouse wrote a blog post about his experience with Janet in 2013, telling her to stop or face legal action.
https://lloydlofthouse.org/2013/04/03/

Rick Carufel is a former commercial artist who took up writing after retirement. He is the kind of autist who writes books about DNA zombie love slaves and brings a Geiger counter to Walmart. Being an opinionated sexually frustrated autist from Minnesota, he made a perfect target for Janet and her friends. They started writing reviews of his books based on the cover blurbs. Rick was not going to take this lying down. He appealed to the internet for bloody vengeance, and got banned from a bunch of websites for being a sperg. (http://archive.md/AtzqS) His simmering resentment and sense of fair play had him butting heads with “the review mafia” every chance he had. https://archive.fo/79PSO

In 2014 One of the “cyber terrorists” found an old police report about a man named Rick Carufel who had been arrested for felony cocaine dealing. Rick the writer insisted it wasn’t him, but the vigilance committee started contacting publishers and organizations attempting to get him banned from conventions and musing about sinking his tugboat. At this point he had enough and decided to sue the internet starting with Anne Rice and Melissa Douthit. He followed through, posting a conformation from a process server that papers had been served. https://archive.fo/oB1hS The outcome was never made public; But this was the moment when Janet and her friends went into DFE mode. The offending posts about Carufel were pulled and many of the review bombers deleted their accounts. Carufel had won without ever setting foot in court. He went on to write a revenge fantasy about his tormentors, making this the second time Janet has been featured in someone else's book.

Kevin Weinberg is a young autist who started writing fiction in his teens. He gained an audience on wattpad with his anime inspired light novels while Studying for a degree in computer science. He is a man with strong opinions who loved to insert himself into online drama. Because so much has been purged from the archives I am relying on my own memories to write this. Anyone with better information please let me know.

In early 2015 He voiced support for a romance novelist named Fiona Freeman who had come under criticism by noted African American scholar Jennifer Trout. Trout objected to Freedman’s book depicting a fictionalized relationship between Thomas Jefferson and Sally Hemings. She encouraged her readers to mass report the book and do anything they could to get it pulled from Amazon.

Kevin asked why African American writers had to ask permission from whites to depict their own history. The book was not explicitly sexual or violent, it did to Sally Hemings what Disney did to Pocahontas; converting historic slaves from human property to romantic lead. The article he wrote for ‘A voice for men’ was picked up by Anne Rice who retweeted it and sent a larger mob after Trout, who was then dropped by a publisher. For the Goodreads scolds this promoted Kevin from public nuisance to public enemy. (http://archive.md/0uuep )

Janet was an orbiter of Trout's and took up her banner against Weinberg. She would post several reviews of his books, followed him on social media calling him a rape apologist and attempted to get him banned from wattpad, twitter and amazon. What followed was unrestricted exceptional warfare, with a flurry of doxing, stalking and death threats that saw both Kevin and Janet banned from everywhere. Kevin would appeal to KockatoInaction for reinforcements introducing Janet to a new generation.

Melissa Douthit plays her own game as usual:

Two of the participants wrote accounts of the drama from their perspective.

Janet stops tweeting suddenly.

All of the writers that Janet targeted over the years have continued to write, showing no negative effect from their clashes with Janet. Kevin took his time off from social media to do a lot of growing up and he returned to the internet more grounded and focused on his writing.

Obama Derangement Syndrome.

Janet’s plan to become famous through the dailykos and her blog hit a snag when the rest of the internet refused to recognize her intellectual superiority. Condemned to obscurity by terrified lesser minds she pinned her hopes on the 2008 presidential election. Because Hillary Clinton was on her way to the Whitehouse. Janet saw Hillary as something between Nelson Mandela and Moses; Yet Superior to both by virtue of her sex. With Hillary as president Rape would be abolished, Janet would be vindicated in her righteousness and men would be forced to answer to a truth and reconciliation commission for their crimes.

After a strong start, Hillary's campaign fell behind a young upstart named Barack Obama. When this happened Janet, and the other radical feminists, demanded that the dailykos officially support Hillary. When Obama won the primary they cried foul, and promised to never vote for Obama. To them, it was better to allow a republican into the Whitehouse then allow the DNC to steal the election from Hillary. Without the support of incel cat ladies the DNC was doomed, and the radical feminists were not coming back without a groveling apology from the party.

725082

ginmar obama2.PNG

After Obama’s victory in the main election he appointed Clinton as Secretary of State and Janet rushed to scrub her comments off the web and pretend that the whole thing never happened.

Sanders Derangement Syndrome.

The next eight years would be a disaster for the DNC. Although Obama would win a second term his popularity did nothing for his party which was nearly bankrupt approaching the 2016 election. Clinton’s campaign would step in and offer to pay the debts of the DNC in return for control over key party offices. Clinton hoped to avoid a protracted primary by locking down support before the campaign season started.

In practice this had the opposite effect. Although Sanders would lose the popular vote to Clinton 55-43%, her tactics during the primaries alienated Sanders supporters; some of whom refused to support Clinton in the general election. To them, it was better to allow a republican into the Whitehouse then allow the DNC to steal the election for Hillary. When Janet heard this, she chimped out like never before. Party unity was now everything to her. Anyone who did not give Hillary unconditional support was a misogynist and probably a nazi. Hillary was the last public remnant of the 90’s style feminism that Janet clings to. The end of Hillary was the end of an era, and Janet’s last forlorn hope at relevance. She has never forgiven Sanders supporters for costing her the superior future she deserved and she is still obsessing over the 2016 election to this day.

Gamergate (sort of)

Janet never had any interest in video games, her involvement in Gamergate was an attempt to get noticed by the main players at CON. She tweeted at Nick Nyberg, Chelsea van Valkenburg, Randy Harper and Leigh Alexander. But she only got a tepid response. She made a Reddit account and subscribed to KIA and Gamerghazi, but when ghazi didn’t give her the attention she wanted, she went back to her blog. http://archive.ph/dfQul

She is still convinced that Gamergate is part of her MRA/Nazi/Trump conspiracy theory and will bring it up out of the blue five years after the fact.

Janet's past catches up with her.

I got busy in my own life and lost track of Janet for a while. When I found Kiwi Farms in 2016 Janet was the first person I thought of, but when I checked in on her, I found that Janet had set everything to private and had gone radio silent. Stranger still, the archive pages to her Goodreads and amazon reviews had been hit hard by copyright strikes.

When her journal was unprotected most of the entries prior to November 2015 were missing. Her twitter has also undergone a severe pruning. None of the members of my old book group could tell me what had happened, but something scared Janet off the internet.

This is what got Janet banned from Goodreads: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/2321531-author-threats

And this is the archive:
725214

Possible theories:
 • Rick followed through with a legal threat and Janet went into DFE mode to protect herself from a lawsuit.
 • She started to get too much attention from gamergate and other culture war spergs -- Janet stopped tweeting at Anti-Gamergate and Kevin suddenly in 2016, and never started again. It's odd given how obsessive she is.
 • Something in the real world connected with her blog. The internet is less fun when your neighbors know what you are writing about them. Janet is constantly complaining about altercations she has with neighbors and businesses. It’s possible some IRL drama might have prompted the deletion.
 • Kevin had identified her old unit and MOS, but he was not able to put the pieces together. There was a risk that someone might dredge up the controversies surrounding her unit during the war.

Recent events:

Getting banned from Goodreads and muzzled on Amazon cost Janet what little influence she thought she had. Today she spends her time on twitter jumping into other peoples conversations like a crazy person. She also stalks the comment sections of Buzzfeed looking for Sanders supporters.

725219725220725221725229725230

She still reviews books, and she is still terrible at it. But writers are getting better at ignoring the spergs.

725253725255725254725256

Janet recently bought a duplex in Virginia Minnesota, planning to rent her old house in Minneapolis. The person she rented to turned out to be a Chandler level hoarder who wrecked the property in a matter of weeks. Meanwhile the people renting the other half of her duplex have also left leaving Janet without rental money.

Conclusion:

Janet in 2019 represents both the past and the future of our culture warriors. She dates from a time when fundamentalist Christians and radical feminist battled for the soul of popular culture. By attempting to control art, rather then create it, they damned themselves to be forgotten by a world that moved on without them. Janet is the future of every Gamergate obsessed YouTuber, every dick chopping troon and every blue tick with more pronouns then personality. It's just a matter of time....

To my readers:

This post has been a long walk down memory lane, and I thank you for joining me. I would appreciate any contributions or clarifications you can offer, The Farms are interesting because of our ability to collaborate and share our knowledge. I want to thank my alpha readers and @Jaimas in particular for finding additional material and putting forth the effort to write his own OP. While I did not end up using it, the example was invaluable to my own, thank you.

Small correction in addition to the above. Sarah Nyberg's deadname is Nick not Jake.

But other than that I'm absolutely amazed at how thorough you are with this. It's got everything you could ask for essentially.

The projection. Hill Shills are always like this. And Janet here reeks of being close to patient 0 for this obsessive self-righteous disease.

Wonderful read, phenomenal OP. Looking forward to reading it with image links done proper (as I take it most of them are from PMs as said above).

Love reading about cows that are infatuated with the military, fuck knows what she was thinking writing that shit. That's some Call of Duty/military LARP level shit.

There's still a few ginmar rants left in the smoldering wreckage of LJ. Like this one.

Yeah, and you want a taste of your own medicine?Shall I post an entry about you? Would you like that? I mean,if your behavior is okay, it ought to be okay for me to whine about you and ignore whatever has happend to you since you came back from a war.

Oh, wait. You haven't come back from a war, have you? So, tell me, aside from that, are your parents still alive? How many friends have you seen killed by roadside bombs? How many things have you seen that you cannot discuss due to national security issues? How many dead bodies have you seen? How many deaths have you experienced recently? I need to know these things so we'll be even. After all, if turnabout's fair play, it wouldn't be fair for me to bitch about you the way you and your little buddies have bitched about me without taking those things into account.

Sure, Jan.

It mostly covers the same shit as OP: but here is the archive of her Fandom Wank Wiki page. It also links to this old bingo card.

I feel like you wouldn't find rejection of anti-male rhetoric like in fandom spaces these days. Bit sad.

edited to put in the correct link

I removed the links that were from the DM chain, they were duplicates I had missed. I only found two of them, so I think the images not loading is an issue with the site. It seems to happen mostly during peak hours, so I'm not sure what if anything can be done about it. If it would help I can stitch the images together to reduce the hit on the database?

Writers are poor editors, we get too close to the work and that makes it hard to know what to cut. I need your fresh eyes to tell me what works and what goes.

I am annotating the links to the Dailykos archives and will continue to do so as time permits.

I added a short section about Fanwank along with the links from @Mutie, thank you for those. It does seem as though the story of Janet is also the story of how Fandom has gotten to the point it has. Chase out the normies and what are you left with?

This is how a totally sane and well balanced adult in her 40's responds to being unfriended on LJ. Archive sites don't get the nested comments, but I grabbed a screenshot of the whole thing.

I'd love to hear it, more viewpoints are incredibly valuable. Janet's story is a 20 year journey through the changing landscape of the exceptional left. Despite the length or the OP I left a lot out and still have many blank spaces to fill.

I've noticed that Janet is getting worse over time. She started out at a time when the radical feminists were the dominate group on left wing message boards, over time they lost their power and influence to the current crop of Troons/Goons and she is not taking it well. If there was a time where she was slightly normal it would help to contrast with her current state and push the 'downfall' narrative.

I'm calling it now: 20 years from now somebody is going to write one of these for Nora Reed.

What I remember of the major players and outline of events at Ms.:

The active board was almost totally women, but one of the first names to stand out in memory is "Ampersand," the nom de guerre of lefty political cartoonist and blogger Barry Deutsch. He and Ginmar eventually became mortal enemies, and if you can pull the archives of his blog ("Alas") you will see her there a lot until she and her radical feminist contingent got banned.

At some point the board sort of fractured into a radfem contingent and...everyone else. There were some opinionated third wavers in opposition to the radfems, but what I recall is mostly the radfems removing themselves into a series of dedicated threads and kind of holding court separately from everyone else, while small talk and discussion continued as normal across the rest of the board.

The leaders of the radfem offshoot were:

"Heart" irl Cheryl Lindsey Seelhoff who is...worth a google. Former quiverfull survivalist grand poobah with eleven kids, previously married to some kind of black nationalist dude, and I believe in 2012 she ran for president under the Free Soil banner.

"Jeanie," a poetry professor at a university in Oklahoma, whose irl name I think was also something close to Jeanie.

"Lucky" or "Luckynkl" or some variation on that. A scrappy, virulently misandrist mom of a bunch of kids, advocate for political lesbianism, and did I mention she hated men. Basically a proto-Biting Beaver, if anyone remembers that one.

and last but certainly not least, "LYNNE," known elsewhere as "Rainsong" or "OneDown." A practicing psychologist in DC, first name Renee, and now I am really kicking myself because at one point I'd figured out the full name and everything, but it's lost now. Anyhow Lynne was by far the queen of the radfems, the most radical, and definitely the most adamantly lesbian and in favor of all women being lesbians. Very misandrist. Extremely adamant that only women-born-women could be feminists or lesbians and thus ok. The trans issue was debated at length and Lynne was by far the most rigid hold out against all transgenderism, trans acceptance, inclusion, etc.

Their little world exploded when Lucky met Lynne/Renee irl and got close enough to find out that Lynne was keeping a wee little secret...you probably guessed where this is going. Lynne is not a "woman born woman." Lady was a dude.

Ginmar fell in with this crowd just as it was all winding up to blow up. She was a very minor Greek chorus girl. Lynne's "coming out" made the national news media. A couple of IWF type libertarian columnists were all over it. I believe this all happened about 2002-3. Heart was furious at being duped, and people then pretty much split into her faction and a Lynne-sympathizer faction. Ginmar hung on to Heart for a while, and Heart stomped off and started her own weird hippy radfem forum that is lost to the mists of my memory now.

So the remnants of the Ms. Radfem Clique kind of scattered around. There were some at the MichFest boards, where Lynne/Renee/Rainsong was also hanging around like an objectionable odor. There was Heart's forums. There were some hokey little EZ Boards forums. Ginmar held court in one of those for a while. There was the comment section of Ampersand's blog. There was that one Texas gal, TwistyFaster or something? her blog was Ginmar preaching pulpit for a while too. There was a private forum run by another guy from Ms. named Rich that was like half political spinoff and half Joss Whedon sperging. Ginmar was pretty much involved in all the spinoffs, but around that time the Ms. Boards themselves died and she seemed to shift over mostly to LiveJournal.

Here's some of the old gang all in one link: Heart, Ampersand, and Ginmar.

http://amptoons.com/blog/?p=2037

http://archive.li/ad4CA

Thank you for this, it helps fill in a big part of the story. It's interesting that none of the old crowd moved on to sites like SA, Digg or Reddit. They stuck to their blogs and kind of faded away while the SJ goons became the next big thing online.

I could do an entire section just on Janet getting banned from feminist blogs. She would try to get an in with the site owner before attempting to take over the blog and moderate from the comments. She did this on Manboobs, Shakespeare's Sister, Iblamethepatriarchy and Alas. She is so narrow in her views that any disagreement or misunderstanding gets her absolutely apoplectic.

This is her getting banned from Manboobs while ranting about star wars of all things.

Oh goodness. I remember back in the livejournal era, this woman was perpetually in crisis because she'd try to help out "friends" who inevitably ended up taking advantage of her - a disabled veteran! - by destroying her house, stealing her property, and trashing her Persian carpets.

Her old pattern was to find her best friend/soulmate online, only to discover they were a horrible abuser a few months later. I found this pretty telling:

746010

This most recent crisis appears to be the real deal. She rented her old house to a friend, who turned out to be a mentally ill hoarder. Rather then just saying "My tenant destroyed my rental" she spent a week or two calling her a room mate and acted like she was just out of town while the damage occurred to her personal residence. It can't just be a bad situation, it has to be the greatest disaster ever.

Graculus graculo assidet.

Introduction

Janet Mary Eldred is a lolcow who has been providing consistent content since the late 90's. She is best known for her extremist feminist views, stalking of authors and dubious military service. Over the years Janet popularized many things we now take for granted, she has been filing fake DMCA reports for two decades, she has been doxing people since at least 2003 and was the first lolcow I ever saw to use PTSD as an excuse for her antisocial behavior. Janet’s extremism has isolated her from any would be allies and today she is pointedly ignored by a new generation of feminists who view her brand of radical feminism as an embarrassment, or even hate speech. Ironically for a person who cares so much for her intellectual legacy her abuse of the DMCA has all but erased her presence from the internet. Today Janet’s life stands as a monument to failure and the danger of wasting your entire life online.

Janet's defining trait is her inability to think abstractly. Everything in her world is a simple matter black and white, good or evil. When it comes to discussions about writing, politics or society Janet is stuck playing checkers on a chess board. She can see the colors, but not the shapes of the pieces, nor understand their movements. This wouldn’t be so entertaining if Janet didn’t also possess an evangelical spirit and unshakable view of herself as a world class intellectual.

Janet draws her intellectual inspiration from radical feminists like Susan Brownmiller and Andrea Dworkin She views the Patriarchy as an organized effort by men to keep women enslaved and weak.

Early Years

Janet went online before the advent of archival tools, so what we know about her early history is limited. She started out on USENET’s feminist forums. Then in 2001 she created her fanfiction.net account writing adult stories about teen characters from the Spike/Buffy children's show. This was when she adopted Ginmar as her Nom De Guerre and like any good lolcow she has stuck to that name ever since. She was also active on the Straight Dope and Ms. Magazine forums as both ‘Margin and Ginmar’; helping to bring the second forum down in some kind of Radfem/Tranny drama that I have not yet unraveled.

Fanfiction.net would be her first small breakthrough. It was here that she found a group of like minded feminists eager to act as the fanfiction police. When they weren't writing adult interpretations of children's shows, they were in the forums demanding that writers they didn’t like be banned for moral or ideological reasons.

One contentious discussion asked if fictional stories about real people should be allowed. Janet said no and somehow compared these stories to Rape and their supporters to holocaust deniers. ‘Real person fic is Rape’ would become a meme on Fanfiction.net leading to even more sperging. Finally, the mods told her to fuck off and get her own blog. Then they banned all stories featuring explicit sex between characters fictional or not. Janet hosted her stories and spergouts on her LiveJournal site: ginmar.livejournal.com which she continues to use to this day.

You would assume that Janet was a teenager given her interests and interactions, but Janet was in fact a 40-year-old woman arguing with children on the internet. Because she lacks actual rhetorical ability Janet's arguments were mostly personal anecdotes.

An example of her writing: https://archive.fo/KHgby

War Stories
A note for my beta readers: Janet's wartime experience is going to be a touchy subject. She was a 97E with the 502 Military Intelligence Battalion. She started out at Victory, from here it appears that she was biased at Iraq's central prison while also traveling to different FOBs during her deployment. (Delta and Mercury I suspect.) MI were involved in a controversy during Janet's deployment. There is no evidence that Janet was in any way involved, but the controversy has made it much harder to find reliable information about MI movements during the war. I am writing a piece about the battle of Al Kut, and may add that as an appendix because it really does not fit the OP.

With greater attention came greatly scrutiny and well informed people started noticing inconsistencies in Janet's stories. She misused military terms and appeared unfamiliar with military policy and standing orders.

A debate would erupt between her supporters who believed everything she had written, and her detractors who believed that she was at best a paper pusher and at worst a civilian committing a criminal hoax. This doubt has only gotten stronger over time as Janet's war stories adapt to fit the news cycle. It is simply impossible for an enlisted person to be in all the places Janet claims to have visited during her tour. Despite the skepticism Janet's blog continued to be cited as authoritative by liberals eager for an inside view of the war.

The silos overlooking the compound. The T-wall was in place to protect against VBIED not incoming fire, higher walls would do nothing.

Janet would never forget this and her hate for third wave feminists is as raw as her hate for MRAs. She would funnel her rage into increasingly incoherent rants on the Daily Kos and other left wing sites, slowly accumulating bans as she went.

While Janet, who had been writing erotic vampire fiction before it was cool, didn't make the cut.

No visible means of support.

Janet’s education and employment history are questionable. She brags about her lack of formal education, and is vague about her work experience. The only time she talked about a specific job was to complain about getting fired. Janet exaggerates every aspect of her biography to hide her lack of accomplishments. She writes fan fiction, so she calls herself an author. She was in the army reserve, so she claims to be a retired soldier. She studied ballet in school, so she calls herself a retired ballerina. Referring to herself as blue collar without specifying a trade sounds like a person with no marketable skills attempting to sound competent. People who have met Janet say she worked as a security guard in Minneapolis or in a sex shop in LA’s Echo Park. She may have had as many jobs as Russell Greer, for similar reasons.

Unusual for a lolcow, Janet does speak multiple languages and has traveled extensively throughout Europe. How someone who is unable to hold a job was able to travel so freely is a mystery. Posts on the old FanWank boards claim that in the 90’s she was working for a Russian women's rights group. If she follows her typical pattern she volunteered at a charity and later claimed it was paid position. There was also a strong suspicion that she has never actually worked an hourly job and is just larping as a working class drone while living off family money. Even if this was true once, it’s clear she ran out of money by middle age.

But working is for normies anyway....

Janet’s war with the VA.

When Janet got back from the war, she started claiming crippling PTSD and told everyone that she was unable to work, forever.

Like any cluster B basketcase she knew that everyone else was the problem and fought tooth and nail against self improvement.

Finally, in 2008 just before she was about to lose her benefits, she declared victory, she had beaten the VA.

Doxing.

Janet claims to be a frequent doxing target of the MRA Nazi cabal. Suspiciously all the dox posted online for her were fake. Janet herself has no problem posting dox about people she doesn’t like and will sometimes spend weeks following a person around the internet posting ‘anonymous’ warnings to other users along with any dox she can find on them.

Obama Derangement Syndrome.

Janet’s plan to become famous through the dailykos and her blog hit a snag when the rest of the internet refused to recognize her intellectual superiority. Condemned to obscurity by terrified lesser minds she pinned her hopes on the 2008 presidential election, because at long last Hillary Clinton was on her way to the Whitehouse.

After a strong start Hillary's campaign fell behind a young upstart named Barack Obama. When this happened, Janet and the other radical feminists demanded that the dailykos officially support Hillary and start banning Obama supporters for misogyny. When Obama won the primary, they cried foul and promised to never vote for Obama. To them it was better to allow a republican into the Whitehouse then allow the DNC to steal the election from Hillary. Without the support of feminist incel cat ladies the DNC was doomed and the radical feminists were not coming back without a groveling apology from the party.

View attachment 725082

After Obama’s victory in the main election he appointed Clinton as Secretary of State. Janet rushed to scrub her comments off the web and pretend that the whole thing never happened.

Sanders Derangement Syndrome.

The next eight years would be a disaster for the DNC, although Obama would win a second term his popularity did nothing for his party which was nearly bankrupt approaching the 2016 election. Clinton’s campaign would step in and offer to pay the debts of the DNC in return for control over key party offices. Clinton hoped to avoid a protracted primary by locking down support before the campaign season started.

In practice this had the opposite effect. Although Sanders would lose the popular vote to Clinton 55-43% her tactics during the primaries alienated Sanders supporters; some of whom refused to support Clinton in the general election. To them it was better to allow a republican into the Whitehouse then allow the DNC to steal the election for Hillary. When Janet heard this, she chimped out like never before, turning her rage on the Sanders supporters. Party unity was now everything to her. Anyone who did not give Hillary unconditional support was a misogynist and probably a nazi. She viewed Hillary as her personal savior and when Clinton lost it broke her. Janet has never forgiven Sanders supporters for costing her the superior future she deserved. Hillary was the last public remnant of the 90’s feminism that Janet still clings to. The end of Hillary was the end of an era, and Janet’s last forlorn hope.

Writers

The birth of sites like goodreads and booklikes provided a place for people to talk about books on a social network. It also created a forum for failed writers to organize against authors they felt unworthy of success. These critics read from a narrow shelf favoring romance and young adult novels and will scour every inch of an author's work attempting to find objectionable topics or opinions. Janet is a typical case. She never published anything, but she calls herself a writer and expects people to take her opinions on writing seriously. Because Janet is blind to things like theme and structure, she concentrates her criticism on the author and the subject of their books. Anyone who doesn’t soothe and flatter her will be branded a badly behaving author and can expect months if not years of abuse. Like Winterfox Janet and her friends concentrate on newer smaller writers where a small group can succeed in damaging that writers' sales and reputation. Unlike Winterfox Janet was not great at picking her targets:

Michael Z. Williamson is a libertarian warfic writer whose wardrobe has more handguns then ties. A retired air force officer, he was one of Janet's first critics, pointing out inconsistencies in her war stories all the way back in 2004. He would continue to show up in the comments section of blogs where she was mentioned putting a damper on her heroic autobiography.

While most of the social justice mob decided to pick on an easier target Janet doubled down spending 2012-2013 obsessing over him. Lofthouse wrote a blog post about his experience with Janet in 2013, telling her to stop or face legal action.

Rick Carufel is a former commercial artist who took up writing after retirement. He is the kind of autist who writes books about DNA zombie love slaves and brings a Geiger counter to Walmart. Being an opinionated sexually frustrated autist from Minnesota he made a perfect target for Janet and her friends, who started writing reviews of his books based on the descriptions. Rick was not going to take this lying down. He appealed to the internet for bloody vengeance, and got banned from a bunch of websites for being a sperg. In 2014 One of the “cyber terrorists” found an old police report about a man named Rick Carufel who had been arrested for felony cocaine dealing. Rick the writer insisted it wasn’t him, but the review types started contacting publishers and organizations attempting to get him banned from conventions and musing about sinking his tugboat. At this point he had enough and decided to sue the internet starting with Anne Rice and Melissa Douthit. He followed through, posting a copy of the conformation had had from a process server that the papers had been served. https://archive.fo/oB1hS The outcome was never made public; But was the moment when Janet and her friends went into DFE mode. The offending posts about Carufel were pulled and many of the review bombers deleted their accounts; Carufel had won without ever setting foot in court.

Under different circumstances he might have a thread here. Because so much has been purged from the archives I am relying on my own distant memories to write this. Anyone with better information please let me know.

In late 2014 an unknown author named Maggie Spence spoke about her agreement with other writers to give each other good reviews. Instead of reporting this and getting on with their lives the good reads vigilance committee teamed up to write fake one star reviews for a book none of them had read. The resulting slapfight had Kevin direct his fans to start posting fake five star reviews on Maggie Spence’s and Melissa Douthit’s books. They would also target Linda Hilton and Margaret Chrisawn for starting the whole thing. It ended with Hilton, Chrisawn and Weinberg banned from goodreads.

(http://archive.li/0uuep )

Janet was an orbiter of Trout's and took up her banner against Weinberg. She would post several reviews of his books, followed him on social media calling him a rape apologist and attempted to get him banned from wattpad, twitter and amazon. What followed was unrestricted exceptional warfare with a flurry of doxing stalking, and death threats that saw both Kevin and Janet banned from everywhere. Kevin would appeal to KockatoInaction for reinforcements introducing Janet to a new generation.

Gamergate (sort of)

Janet never had any interest in video games, like many lolcows her involvement in Gamergate was an attempt to get noticed by the main players at CON. She treated Gamergate as an extension of the MRA Patriarchal conspiracy that she had been fighting all along and offered to lead Anti-Gamergate against this familiar threat. She tweeted at Nick Nyberg, Chelsea van Valkenburg, Randy Harper and Leigh Alexander. But only got a tepid response. • She started to get too much attention from gamergate and other culture war spergs. Janet always expected to be leading a mob, no be targeted by one. She is extremely sensitive to criticism and has gone into purge mode when people started pushing back in numbers. Janet stopped tweeting at Anti-Gamergate and Kevin suddenly in 2016, and never started again. It's odd given how obsessive she is. (I could also be searching twitter wrong; I hate that website)
 • Something in the real world connected with her blog. The internet is less fun when your neighbors know what you are writing about them. Janet is constantly complaining about altercations she has with neighbors and businesses. It’s possible some IRL drama might have prompted the deletion.
All of the writers that Janet targeted over the years have continued to write, showing no negative effect from their clashes with Janet. Kevin took his time off from social media to do a lot of growing up and he returned to the internet more grounded and focused on his writing.

She still reviews books, and she is still terrible at it. But writers are getting better at ignoring the spergs.

Janet dates from a time when fundamentalist Christians and radical feminist battled for the soul of popular culture. By attempting to control art, rather then create it, they damned themselves to be forgotten by a world that moved on without them. Janet in 2019 represents both the past and the future of our culture warriors. Janet is the future of every Gamergate obsessed YouTuber, every dick chopping troon and every blue tick with more pronouns then personality. It's just a matter of time....

To my beta readers:

This post has been a long walk down memory lane, and I thank you for joining me. I would appreciate any contributions or clarifications you can offer, The Farms are interesting because of our ability to collaborate and share our knowledge. You will have perspectives I don't and I want to hear from you. I want to thank my alpha readers and @Jaimas in particular for finding additional material and putting forth the effort to write his own OP. While I did not end up using it, the example was invaluable to my own, thank you.

It's always depressing when I see a particularly deranged /cow/'s Facebook page... and find out we have a friend in common (in this case, a neo-Pagan fatbeard who I'm sure is one of her Gamma orbiters.)

Janet was back in the emergency room. She got dizzy and had a fall leading to some horrifying injuries.

Spoilers for gore.

She skins her knee and we get high resolution pictures of the horrifying aftermath. Whenever Nazi Bernie Bros' send death threats to her house the camera is juuuuuuust out of reach. Same thing with all those letters she gets from the VA telling her to die in a hole. It must be hard to take pictures of things that don't exist.

Lol her blubber protected her.

When you think the your enemy is gravity, but 'beetus was the real threat -- Imagine going through medical school to become an ER doctor just so you can put a band-aid on a 56 year old woman's knee.
