Whenever I see I look to the other members. Russ isn't the only person to be adopted into a Mormon family. Hell, he's not even the only disabled\disfigured\whatever person to be raised Mormon. But he is the only one that took well-meaning platitudes and twisted them into thinking he should be able to (legally) rape women.

Russ is a one of a kind. I see no reason to try and blame others for what he turned into.

Fair point, but at the end of the day, Russell Greer chose to become what he is.

You can be horribly abused as a child, but it's your choice to break the cycle of abuse or perpetuate it as an adult yourself.

Greer was presented with an opportunity to become a respected member of his religious community and possibly wind up in a relationship, provided he could accept his lot in life was not going to be what he wanted it to be and that he'd have to show a good work ethic and humility.

He chose to forego that to pursue his own interests. All fallout from doing so rests on his shoulders alone.

Russ bitches all the time about not being able to find work as a paralegal because of the Taylor Swift saga. Yet in his book and legal filings, Russ even outright points out he was told by one of his teachers he'd have to choose between a career as a paralegal and suing Taylor Swift. He's had people, Mormons included, attempt to point him in the right direction. He's told every one of them to fuck off, because he knows better. Russ screwed Russ.

To be honest I think he’s the result of a perfect storm. He’s someone who has practically zero social intelligence, a very low IQ, and has clearly been dealing with untreated mental illness his whole life. I think that, along with growing up in a community who tolerated and excused his bad behaviour are what made him this way. His parents shielded him from the repercussions of what he did in high school. If they’d have left him to face the punishment he was due, maybe he’d have realised that he had to change. Don’t get me wrong - I’m fucking glad that they didn’t because he’s comedy gold.

Oh, they are going to want so much money from him. Russell, the reason radio stations broadcast advertisements is because that's how they can afford running a station, which is expensive. No 'effort' or plight will change that. It's not a talent show or a showcase, so be ready to pay at least a couple of hundred(but likely, it'll be more than you can afford).

Yeah, I remember reading he felt he HAD to sue Taylor. Just like when he said he didn't want to sue his twin sister, but he felt he had no choice.

If he were born w a normal face? He would still be an underachiever. He would maybe get dates with strangers, but not people who knew him. Certainly not second dates though. People would get a feeling about him but not quite know why.

He would be jealous AF of his successful sis and possibly sabotage her whenever possible.

Even if he had a Joe Normal face, I don’t see him as having this wonderful life. He would just have a little bit more stealth to his creepiness

He’d be getting dates with vaguely all right girls and god forbid she didn’t put out or he might try to make her reconsider by force.

Maybe Russ’ face is God’s way of making sure he never gets close enough to do any real harm to anyone.

E: if he’s homeless and spending his money on radio ads and album cover photo shoots I will laugh so hard.

I'm pretty sure he's not homeless now. I think he means that when one time the landlord didn't want to renew his lease, allegedly, it was because Russell sued Taylor. So, that was clearly Taylor's fault.

The comment about sick people really pissed me off. Being in the hospital is a miserable experience. People want a happy experience to hold onto, and good morale can help the healing process. Wanting a "thank you" aka blowjob instead of letting someone get help healing is the kind of thing that makes me want to waterboard him with bleach.

Next he'll go after the Make a Wish foundation.
