Dragon Ball was dubbed in-house by Funimation in 2001. After DBZ had gained immense popularity. It also would have been dubbed concurrently so Sabat was likely given co-directorship to lighten the load on DBZ.

That's probably it then. But he did have influence over voice direction from way back then. What year was Vollmer replaced ?

Ok, sorry for my absolute level of autism. It appears Vollmer was Bulma from 1999 till 2010. Then, she was replaced by Rial for Kai and then Super. The ones that were completly replaced by Sabat when he got the power were those from before 1999. Still, that doesn't change that there are rumours that she left because of bad relations with him, just that those weren't from Sabat's great purge.

Ok I actually did a quick search. Apparently she retired from Voice acting which is why the role needed to be recast

Could be because of Sabat as well and it was a cover-up tho

EDIT

Could this be the supposed VA that got fired because she refused to sleep with Sabat ? Could explain why she retired from voice acting, Sabat is quite popular in the circle and had just gotten more power plus Okratron was about to under go a revamp (i.e. for those who missed my post on Okratron, it opened in 2004 and then a revamp in 2013 before another facility was opened in LA in 2017) so more business to him. Has there been any interaction between them since ?

Random twitter person, so no verified credibility, but she claims she's been getting kickvic backlash for wearing a Broly shirt in non-anime general public places like a gas station.

If this person doesn't live in a college town or, at minimum, the Pacific Northwest, I'll be hard pressed to say that this isn't the most anemic gay op I've seen.

If this person does live in either of those places I'm still going to doubt heavily. This controversy hardly exists outside the anime-sphere of the internet and I'm supposed to think that a claim that this person's getting harassed in multiple places by members of a demonstrable vocal minority within this anime-sphere-of-the-internet controversy? And why would there be backlash merely for wearing a Broly shirt? That's not inherently a statement of allegiance to anything except your interest in the character.
