I love how they're saying the characters are now trans as if canon in established characters doesn't exist. I hate that they're still doing some "umad bro" thing that fell out of style in 2009. You can draw genderbends and stuff without being an absolute mong about it.

Also genuine question: Any reason these people tend to think trans' are super hairy, bulky, gross apes? To my knowledge, the goal of transitioning is to pass, so wouldn't a tranny in this context just be a trap with the pronouns of the gender they're portraying? I know I'm preaching to the choir here, but I'm just baffled someone can miss the mark like this.

Well because whole tumblr art style is about being a good intersectional feminist. To be a good intersectional feminist you need to be pro-LGBTQAI+, for body positivity, fat acceptance, pro-POC and so on. To virtue signal in maximum efficiency to other intersectional feminist (and to show all those cishet white bigots) you need cram as many marginalized identities as possible to one picture. So it’s more of unfortunate implication that comes from intersectional ideology that all trannies are ugly as fuck. Then again these tumblr kids will say that all bodies are equally beautiful so what do I know?
