In my experience, they tend to refuse to accept that little detail and march right on as if you never presented it. Which is consistent with their pick and choose worldview.

Burning down Funi, ANN, Sabat, et al happens in rd 2. This round is bending over all the small fry and getting them to squeal.

I dunno, they have a really solid case against Funimation, and the discovery they'll glean out of it will be super useful in future rounds. Plus, getting them out of the way early will encourage other VAs to fold, knowing they won't have daddy Funi's lawyers to back them up. And going for Funi + Monica simultaneously prevents them from even considering defending her.

Nick and Ty have explained this numerous times already. All Vic has to do to prove it's defamation is to say under oath that "No, these statements are false" and then the burden of proof falls on the other party to prove all these claims true in order to counter Vic's claim.

Damn, just found this in Vic's twitter tag.

The guy in the video is Rickey, an ADR Engineer at Funi. He worked with Vic on Juni Taisen when he was directing. Remember that video of Monica at work smiling while Vic filmed? This guy was the engineer there. Is this the first Funi employee we've seen speak up for him?

I doubt that would happen. The Japanese don't like to insert themselves into anothers issue, even though in this case it's really their issue as well. I think it's far more likely that once this whole mess is finished with, they will quietly do their part to blacklist all the problem children from the industry. It would not shock me if they began to work directly to form some anime conglomerate with the other companies just to ensure that they could more easily keep an iron grip on who worked on their respective IP.
