Why wouldn't the automatic assumption be that Vic revealed what was in the investigation? Was he not informed of it, given a chance to defend himself?

She probably has a small group of people who are aware and thinks, say, person 6 was the one as they are the least trustworthy, all the others "were on her side" so it couldn't have possibly been them. It was probably the person she trusted most not to tell that actually did.

o if he wasn't fired over the jellybean story, which is still all kinds of hilarious and it's shocking how Marchi is still defending it, then what the hell was he fired for? Marchi is doubling down on the idea that eating a bean is sexual harassment, but in the same post also says he wasn't fired for that. That...wasn't the smartest thing to admit to.

Guys, the investigation shows that he raped 50 gorillion women and is over 9000 pages long. Funimation has the rape-kits in their back room. The reason nobody went to the police is because the entire government is controlled by the Patriarchy. Duh.

He is an 'employee' to funimation through contract more or less so they would have to have a legit reason to fire him thus Vic would have been at least shown most if not all of the investigation.

I don't think they were legally obligated to show it to him. At-will employment and all that. They could have, but it's also just as likely they didn't.
Remember that Funimation's major fuckup is that they mentioned the investigation publicly in the first place.

The issue here is that there apparently was one, and we're gonna see what is. If it wasn't leaked, or voluntarily surrendered, they would have gotten a court order to see it eventually.

It doesn't look good if Ty is going full steam ahead after having seen what is in the investigation contains. It means that, in the opinion of Ty, they have jack shit to back up their claims that Vic did anything wrong.

It's easy, show both getting mail at the same address, maybe a joint bank account and present yourselves as a married to them in person.

But that’s where it gets weird in the modern era. Yes common law marriage is such a longstanding thing. But until you experience it you have no idea just how often you actually get challenged for “proof”. Like I said, due to pre-existing careers and businesses my wife and I do not have the same legal surname. She simply never changed her name. Not an uncommon thing these days. We’ve been married for 20 years. She keeps a copy of the marriage license in her purse because several times a year something stupidly beaurucratic wants to see it. Medical stuff is a big one. Something as mundane as being able to pick up your spouses prescriptions. We had to make sure we were linked in the pharmacy systems and prove it. How does a Common Law Marriage actually navigate life’s annoying roadblocks when they don’t have some piece of official paperwork? And I’m asking this honestly, because with modern security of everything fewer and fewer routine tasks will simply take your word for it.

Why are we stuck in this fucking stupid loop of the Rial/Soye marriage bullshit? They ain't married, they ain't even pretend married in the way Common Law punts it. End of. One or the other could flip and it's more likely to be Monica than Soye.

She should be less concerned with the "YouTube" lawyer and far more concerned with the Bearded Texas lawyer.

Yeah but the Youtube Lawyer kept telling her to shut up and she has a Karen-esque haircut, so you know that's just like a red rag to a bull.

It's probably why Nick kept repeating it because it had the exact opposite effect and thus makes this whole fucking lawsuit so much of a slam dunk.

I'd be amazed if the Judge doesn't order them to rip their shirts off their backs and hand them to Vic right there in the court room.

runs-in-circles wont stop talking about it, its irrelevant at this point

This is all Employee Management 101. “See what Funimation did here? Don’t ever do that!” HR matters are to be kept confidential. Funi violated that when they publicly implied a cause for Vic’s termination, and then allowed their staff and contractors to spend months hurling Pedo Rapist accusations. At that point to even imply that some NDA prevents Vic from suing their asses and getting everything they did to him through subpoena and witness testimony is laughable. They already broke any imagined NDA’s themselves. They can’t unring that bell.

Nevermind Monica pretty much admitting on social media that she talked with various women who claimed they had the same experiences as Vic right before the investigation. Why would they allow this? It’s not unallowable, but it debases the “evidence” it has in store for us. Ty even said it that they admitted to civil conspiracy and wrote it down on Twitter.

Well Monica is hinting she knows who leaked the investigation details to Nick and she "informed Sony".....

So, she confirmed that the jellybean story was legit? LOL.

What's the deal, though? Why is she doing this if true? This investigation is going to come out in discovery anyway. Also, she said "the truth will come out". So, let the truth come out in discovery? Why are you informing Sony of this? This shouldn't be an issue for you
So she only told the jelly bean story to one person in the investigation team? or is she talking about something else in the leak that could out the person?

Just feels kind of weird, maybe she knows now the info is out there shes fucked and is trying to scare the leaker somewhat.

If she's going to call that sexual harassment, you're fucking crazy.

Here's Texas's version of sexual harassment, according to the Texas Workforce Commission.

Also, how does she know that this didn't contribute to him being fired? Funimation implied that just harassment is why Vic got terminated. If she knows this much about what happened and what is in the investigation, then surely Vic must know.

Considering the intellectual acumen of these people I'm leaning towards believing Nick.

Same. Monica and La Choy had reported "harassment" and "death threats" to the police and to the Minnesota and Texas bars to no avail.

So what Nick said was true. Monica aint denying the Jelly Bean story. Thats hilarious

Nor is she denying that she presented it as an accusation of Sexual Misconduct. Rather she is clearly affirming that she did. She’s panicking big time. Which is interesting. She’s panicking because specifics of her stories that she used to sandbag Vic with Funimation are out there and being challenged. But also people know. She thought she could just whisper things in somes ear and make the inconvenient man disappear. But it’s not working that way. I wonder what’s really in there that has her so worried?

I guess in Texas it's simpler, especially having different last names, due to the fact common law marriage is a long standing institution in Texas and as for the name thing, hispanics don't change their name with marriage so it's very common to see husband and wife with different last names, and thus is why you see the hyphenated spanish last names from the resulting kids.

Been asking that myself. Tried to stop it (again). Was a dead issue a long time ago. It's not relevant.

Contrary to what Ron claims, this whole song and dance was to try and wave Vic off from litigation. It's not working. Ty's now seen their cards. It's a shit hand. He's calling. Hence their panic.

Ooh! Oooh! Could it be that the report might note Rial and Vic's prior speculated relationship and that's why it eventually came out as inconclusive?

Uh-Oh. UH OH.

bet vic has some dirt on her that she's been shitting herself over for a while now, and he's probably just too nice to come forward with it.

Well, Nick did say there was another story that was even more stupid than the jellybean story that he wasn't going to reveal at this time, so maybe it is so ridiculous that she is panicking now seeing how the jellybean as sexual harassment story went over.
