Self-government, you say? Because, with Tiso, I must give you a credit. He declared independence of Slovakia, after Hitler forced him to do so.

As for armies, Macedonia was definietly a part of Greek culture and it conquered Persia, while earlier, neither Athens nor Sparta could defeat Persians. The commander who did it was tutored by one of the greatest philosophers, Aristotle. Even later, the culture of Greece was so strong that it spread to Rome, and formed the spine of it's society.

Without boring the rest of the forum with unnecessary details of my personal life, my last relationship ended because I moved to another country; the one before that ended for more intangible reasons: we were growing apart and finding that maybe we weren't as romantically compatible with one another as we'd initially thought. At any rate, examples of relationships that ended for reasons other than infidelity or general apathy.

I suppose I can't prove absolutely that infidelity didn't occur in the same way that I can't prove absolutely that none of my romantic partners have secretly been Nazis, but I can demonstrate it to my own satisfaction. (i.e., There were no indications of infidelity.)
