"NOTICE TO DEFENDANT: You have been sued."
I just can't get over how blunt the wording is. I haven't seen these before, and you hear a bunch about lawsuits and the drama and general circumstances around and in them, but I would never think that what officially kicks it off is four matter-of-fact words.
It's so that people take that shit seriously. They don't want someone strolling into court a month later without responding and claim "huh? I didn't know I was being sued, I thought it was, like, a warning or something). And in this case it's apt because it sounds like the people involved here would stay in denial otherwise.
