An HR person at Sony fired Vic 2 weeks before Funimation made their virtue signal post and BTFO themselves. Ty is offering an incentive for Sony to turn against the defendants I believe and #kickvic is under the delusion that Sony is going to defend them all with their lawyers when it would be much easier to just pay Vic off for the damages and then sue the 3 chucklefucks for their share.

Because Sony hasn't done anything legally out of line. They got brought a bunch of stuff by Funi and then just said "fuck it, don't use him anymore then if it's that big an issue, we don't care who you use for dubs as long as the dubs get made."
They never defamed him or interfered in his business, the only thing they've done is ran a half assed investigation and green lit the firing. None of the actual defamation or TI has been done by Sony because, surprise, they are professionals.
Also it should be noted that Vic was not fired. Vic was an independent contractor. Sony merely agreed to not pick up Vic for further projects, which is legally totally different from termination.

Sure they will. They will use them against Toye and the morons that got them into this situation. If Sony gets involved they will quickly settle with Vic. No way they want widespread knowledge of that report out there.

I doubt it. There's no real reason to subpoena large amounts of Sony documents. Not only that but Sony will probably pressure Funimation to settle relatively quickly. This is not what Sony signed up for when they took over Funimation.
