While there is always a chance (extremely small in this case) Vic loses at trial, I think we can pretty safely say that this definitely makes it past any anti-slapp motion. To believe otherwise is wishful thinking on the kickvic and blue orca crowds side.

Well yes and no I guess. Although I'm probably not a good litmus test as I'm skewed more against Geekdom. Tbh, I don't really have an issue with him besides his ego/arrogance (to the point where he can't accept that other people may have differing opinions on things) and some of his vids are lazy. Most of the time with Super, He used to pull stuff from the translator crew and then then spend 5-10 mins overly analyzing small paragraphs and repeating himself (although all YT channels of the same vein as him do the same). I'd also make the point that he's very obviously trying to milk every word on dragon ball for everything it's worth but then you have multitudes of other creators doing the same on YT so I can't really fault him for that either.

I'll agree he handled this whole thing with Perfection and his backstabbing friend's dropping from KC quite well, but I'm still not entirely convinced he's not KickVic. You know what they say about the people you associate yourself with

And it may just be a crazy coincidence, it was the day the lawsuit dropped too.
Who knows, but the kickvic spergs going after Elon, a ridiculously rich man, has to be the absolute dumbest move they have been making. They better hope to god none of them somehow pushes one of his buttons by bringing up the submarine thing or anything. If they somehow make him mad he could very easily stomp them out with his "fuck you" money

I've been wondering about that. If Funi's employees are contract employees, couldn't they just claim in court that the views of their VAs don't represent their views as a company?

Normally, yes. However, they were exceptional individuals and made a defamatory tweet as well as stay silent as their VA's defamed. Those combined, that defense folds the moment its brought up to a judge.

you might be able to fool a jury........... if it were anywhere other than texas.

also fun fact? Japan actually kinda likes the south. thinks that while its weird, its nice and hospitable, a bit like home. they find northern places weird, especially california and new york :)

Sure. But since they ran around spouting internal affairs/views of said companies and actually qualifying as principles/vice or otherwise, it won't hold up.

I've been lurking through this thread since it was at a mere 300 pages. I'm usually a man of few words, but I just want to say that Vic's case and his inevitable victory, along with this thread, have restored some of the optimism I had lost the past few years. I hope it leads to further pushback against false accusers in the future so that the "court of twitter" bullshit will end.

This female archetype is starting to make me pretty salty, online and off. There are a lot of them in coastal cities and the smug is real. The entitlement is realer and the aversion to the hard grind of perfecting a craft? Why, that's the realest.
Successfully calling these types on their bullshit tends to incite a very harsh response, so I urge everyone to take care when dealing with these creatures in the IRL sphere. Full escalation right off the bat is not unheard of, so proceed with care.
