Am I wrong in assuming that these 100+ women than Ron was in contact with he would have to prove he talked to before that tweet or else he'd be fucked?
The whole point of the interrogatory is so that they can see evidence of their claim BEFORE the court cases discovery so that SLAPP can be filed or denied by them. Discovery in this case will be pointless if they can't prove anything during the interrogatory. If they can prove that the Defamatory statements are true then Ty would just end up dropping it and keeping the other legal claims on them ie TI/conspiracy.
Oh man, I never even thought about that as a possibility. How fucking hilarious would it be that Ron manages to get a list of 100 or more ladies, and a large percent of them openly (or in deposition) state that they weren't harassed at all, they still like Vic, and have no idea why Ron put their name on the list
I think people here are ignoring a glaring issue. Third wave feminists like's to think that eavesdropping isn't eavesdropping anymore and allows them to use other peoples gossip as a means of it actually happening that way.
Yesterday at work a coworker was talking for a friend about this other coworker and how he was pretty creepy. Someone was eavesdropping on them and told the union head rep about it without talking to her BEFORE. She never wanted anything to happen from the start, just wanted to 'vent' a little but turned into nothing major to something almost major.
The point here is, I would guess basically EVERYONE of the person they write down will get deposition to corroborate their story but almost all of them wont go for a few reasons. One being travel time, another one because they where simply gossiping (and we all know gossip isn't 100% accurate), or other things, so I doubt they'll even get 10 people to show up and state under oath (without evidence) that what happened to them was true. The eye whiteness's on the other hand would probably show up but f things up like stating it was in front of a crowed of people or something.
On a side note, a question for those more legally knowledgeable - does it matter that Ron specifically said "100+ ladies" in the tweet in question? Does that mean that no male witnesses of sexual harassment or whatever would be allowed for this particular interrogatory?
In this case yes, Ron made it clear that 100's came out DURING this incident meaning that it's fresh. If he's claiming he know 100's over the decade he was doing con's and VA, they'd allow him to be off because it becomes harder and harder to remember names over the years.
This just occurred to me. I have known Shane for a while and have related his driving need to be important and relevant; all demonstrated by his inflated accounts and his insertions into situations that he was not and should not have been involved in.
While his drive to be relevant explains his prolific tweets, I am beginning to see a pattern. His claims of deep inside information appear vacuous. Maybe he's seeding in order for someone to come back with real information to feed his little gossiping Twitter reality. Bless his heart.
The issue here is that Shane's implicated Con's to become deposition'd due to his statement about them throwing reports out after the Con ends. This means even if he's 'seeding' or 'fishing' for something it wouldn't end well for him anyways especially is just one Con brings reports from years prior that he worked at before.
Secondly he show's he doesn't know anything due to his flip flopping nature, he makes it seem like he knows everything that's ever happened to Vic, Vic's accusers, and how serious every claim there is but cannot make a clear and definitive stance on this. He claims his actions shouldn't result in all this but at the same time he's sexually assaulted people...... Not only that he doesn't understand that Sexual Assault isn't groping someone nor kissing them, it's rape.
Shane's simply there because his career's in the dumpster and he needs people to donate more to him during his stream as he doesn't have a good future ahead of him (before all of this happened).
