The sad part about this is that art isn't bad. I actually really like the purple and pinks with this hue. The problem is the anatomy. The pose while standard feels a bit awkward. It's like the weight of the character isn't lining up with what we are seeing. It's kind of hard to explain. I know fashion poses are constructed in some sort of way, but something feels off.

The face is rendered nicely despite how exaggerated it is but I also have to wonder about why they put so much effort on that but left the hands almost untouched? Experienced artists can tell where you put care and where you can tell you didn't want to deal with it.

This is the new loonie commemorating the 50th anniversary of the decriminalization of homosexuality in Canada. (Note that same-sex marriage wasn't legally recognized until 2005, which would really make it only 14.)
Why is it that the design looks like it was made up by a 5 year old with crayons? And those pie crust eyes lifted from 1920's era cartoons further takes away its seriousness as a piece of currency.
