For all the bitching some troons have at these stories they have a purpose for other trannies: it convinces them not to get the surgery. They see that it fucks them up in a lot of ways and they decide "you know what? meh, I'm fine with my penis". Danielle Bunten Berry (the first, if not one of the first openly tranny gamedevs) famously said getting the surgery was a mistake after getting it all the way back in 1992 and that's just a higher profile "classic" example of trans regret.

It’s not paranoia when they’re actually after you. Those women wanted nothing to do with him. LOL I love the commenters who insinst that passing doesn't matter and he was rejected for other reasons than looking obviously male.

Passing is hard. Even Gay men rarely do and for straight men it's impossible because the troon majority are autists/fetishists who are too lazy and mentally ill to ever pass. These idiots expect wo be welcomed with open arms by lesbians (!) solely because they identify as women. Hell and even if they pass and fool everyone, lesbians still wouldn't date them if they knew it's actually a man.

This is actually a misconception. MtFs just have more visibility because they're more likely to make themselves heard and draw attention to themselves. The FtM equivalent of troons mostly stay in largely female "queer" spaces so you're unlikely to see them most of the time unless you hang around in those spaces or just on tumblr in general.
And there's a larger percentage of "passing" FtMs and semi-passing ones who end up looking like baby-faced pudgy manlets with pube beards. Basically comes down to male puberty being harder to "override".
That being said there's been a shitload of troons popping up in the last couple years so I might be completely wrong and MtFs outnumber FtMs by 200% by now because clown world.

Stats out of the UK (which are probably pretty reliable since the NHS can track transitioning) show that most adult transitioners are MTF but most childhood transitioners are FTM.
