Has to be 4 or 5 years he's been trying to get rid of this stuff (since he moved to Washington). Kind of weird he's bringing this up now, but it was a recent topic here so he has to keep up with us.

Just more baby on the way theory. Gotta sell off excess stuff and clear out junk for baby stuff.

Very possible, and I hope not. These two would make for shitty parents. Phil is especially not cut out for parenting. The whole getting a cat talk could be a distraction.

Even if that's not the case, at the very least this is another way for him to squeeze more money from his fans or something to bitch/guilt trip about when nobody buys his shit.

Do we know where or how he's listing them? From what we know of Phil, I bet he's selling it very close to its original price based on the fact that it's still "undamaged and barely used". As long as its anything but factory fresh, the resale value is going to be significantly low. He makes a point about the pawn value being stupidly low but I can't picture him selling it reasonably at 40%-60% of its original worth.

One of the rare times he talked about saving money, getting a job and putting $10 in an account you cannot withdraw from easily with every paycheck. Decent advice I guess, maybe a broken clock is right twice a day?

He then proceeds to tell his viewers not to waste their money on useless shit like portal guns and statues, few months / years later.

I'm triggered as fuck by his ridiculous refusal to just put the shit on eBay. He wants some direct-yet-clandestine sale in which he somehow controls every aspect of it up to and including how much information the buyer has because his paranoia is through the goddamn roof. All this despite the fact that he doesn't need to include any identifying information with his eBay account, including his fucking address, and he'd know all this from five minutes spent looking at the ebay selling process or actually listening to one of the umpteen people who've told him this over the past decade.

I'm so sick of hearing him bring them up every six months or so that I hope one of those statues somehow winds up killing him in some sort of bizarre horror-movie-ironic accident. Shit or get off the pot, for fuck's sake.

Why does it even matter if they do? His address has been known for years and the worst that's happened is he was swatted. Yes, that's a horrible thing and someone crossed the line but it was years ago, nothing came of it, it happened only once and, again, it could happen again at any time because his address is already out there. How else could people fuck with him on this? Bid and then if they win the auction not pay? That doesn't affect him negatively at all; he might just have to relist the item. Goodness, how dreadful.

Sounds to me like he doesn't even know which statues he has left.
Someone like that clearly won't value them or handle them with care.

The only reason he hasn't sold them already is, that he is just too lazy to ship them.

pretty much, i could see phil actually wanted to upcharge them from the price he bought them even though they were remove from package, which already reduces their value by a bunch and for sure cant upcharge. and without a doubt he doesnt take a lick of care of them prolly just stuffed somewhere collecting dust and falling apart.

Are you fucking stoopid d00d? Phil's already said he's looked into everything and it just isn't possible. A site like ebay just won't work for what he's trying to do. If he could he would but it literally makes no sense. No rational ADULT human being would do that when it makes much more sense for him to sell to his under 300 viewers on Twitch who are already tapped out from big tips and donations.

And I know you at least have a PC with an internet connection since you're posting here. If you ACTUALLY wanted to help you could just click over to Phil's twitch, buy one of his statues right there (as well as tip a couple bucks too). But you just want to sit there like a tough guy, arm chair quarterbacking while spreading lies and misinformation when it's clear you have no fucking clue what you're talking about. You just want to laugh and watch Phil fail. That's really sad man.

Nah, he'd drop $50-100 a month on storage space (probably more expensive considering his location) before he just trashed anything outright. Now, if you knew you were going to be able to get rid of them in a month or two, that's not a bad idea to get the ball rolling and clear up some space, start cleaning, etc., but we all know Dave refuses to pursue the best route to sell his shit with eBay, and he's too lazy to put in the work to find other collectors that would be interested, so all the shit would just sit in a storage cube and be lost to time.
