He'd pawn them off to his parents and do nothing else with them.Yeah, him with a kid, barring a major transformation, is pretty much the only thing (aside from animal abuse) that would actually trigger some sperg-rage in me. You just don't mess around with kids, and nothing about Phil says he would be even a bare-minimum decent parent.

It's telling that MK11, the hot new fighting game can't even give DSP enough of a crowd to sustain himself, even people largely unaware of DSP know him for raging at fighting games, he's in a rough spot.

It's amazingly slow for Phil right now, but he's still in a good financial situation from his parents giving him tax plan money and Twitch changing their payout schedule which led to Phil getting a lot from them this month. He's been bitching about the lack of interaction, but he hasn't hit the panic button like he normally would. He for sure would have by now gritted his teeth and started playing Days Gone like most of his fans want to instead of sticking with MK11, a game that his fans have clearly shown they give no fucks about. Once the bills and that first tax payment come next month and things still haven't improved, his tune will change.
Also, whenever things are slow for Phil, that's usually the cue for a Pig Whale to come along and give him thousands of dollars out of nowhere. Phil's pigroach luck will probably save him once again.
Amazon has it listed for a grand but it is a third party seller. On ebay, I see a used one for $315 and a new one for $700. How much money did this dumbass spend on this shit. I'm watching the back-in time Tevin stream now and DSP mentions that he stopped buying this shit in 2012 and started saving for the WAkahdo then, if that is true then that is actually impressive to get that much money in two years for a down payment on a house.View attachment 739859
Maybe a collector could weigh in but it sounds like that fan got scammed
Honestly that nook he has is big enough to turn into a small office for streaming. He could have a desk, couple monitors and a green screen. I know he wouldn't do it but it goes to show how he doesn't take advantage of his living space.I think he's buying kat more stuff and running out of room. So he's trying to ditch his statues.

I've seen them at conventions for 350$ CDN for years.View attachment 739859

One sold a few days ago on eBay (this is sold, not just listed) for $190. It's also the 1st out of the 5000 of them made. Threw in another one I found that sold for around the same price.View attachment 739859

The source of pigroach luck: Phil gets lucky with unbans and whale donators while his viewers all suffer during/after watching him.I promptly fell off my fucking bike after this imaginary interlude and scraped my face along the pavement. Moral of the story: don’t under any circumstances listen to Dav’s vlogs on his actual channel. It’s cursed.
Seems like his viewers on twitch have been up consistently as of late. For months it seemed like he'd top at around 500 viewers unless it was an event like one of the retrospectives or a marathon. Now he's hitting 650-800 at times. You think that would translate into a steady stream of bits, but maybe DSP detracting is becoming more popular. It is funny to see a few verified twitch users come in, Diction and the theApiary come in and be rude. I figured verified streamers means they're a partner. Diction has sizable following, but the theApiary seems like a nobody.
Replaying bloodborne last year had him in the 800-1000 range. Dark souls 3 last fall had more significant views too when compares to other games. Even the pathetic magic run of ds1remastered does better than all the variety crap he picks up for 2 days and never returns to.It's because he's playing a fighting game and he gets salty as fuck during them. Even though the consistent, active "detractor community" is pretty small (here, restreamers, discord, etc.), everyone knows who DSP is and that he rages at fighting games. He also was playing Succarow last month, and everyone knows he rages at Fromsoft games just the same.
Vids taking the piss out of him still get (tens of) thousands of views, so it's not like he's some obscure artifact. The Fredrik Knudson Down the Rabbit Hole vid on him is his most viewed, with the second most popular being Spoony. So it's not that being a detractor is becoming more popular, it's that people want to show up and see it happen live. Even the restreamers get a bump in viewership when he's playing these kinds of games.
Phil is a testament to mankind's awe-inspiring power to, through sheer force of will, do the same shit for like ten years and never learn a god damn thing.
No wall, no city, no stone no armor ever on this earth is as rigid, impermeable and well defended that no idea, no lesson, no unbidden information can pass through it.
Yeah. Following Phil is a trip because after a while the frustration fades, the annoyance fades and you're left with some kind of unholy respect for him. It's almost like a super power. Can you imagine how he must view himself? I'd do unethethical things just to feel for one hour the sense of completely static, unwavering self-confidence it takes to believe everyone else is a sucker and doesn't realize that every controller and every game and every console ever has been useless buggy junk that just ignores half your controls or inputs the opposite. That you suck at games because you're actually a good gamer, and everyone else is either just lucky or doing it wrong and somehow all the games and controlers just cater to how they're wrong and stupid. That has been the one of the more interesting parts of DSP.
DSP should have ACCIDENTALLY gotten better at video games by now. He's put in over 10K hours. But because he actively refuses to learn, he's never actually improved. That's virtually impossible.
