Weeb Wars / AnimeGate / #KickVic / #IStandWithVic / #vickicksback - General Discussion Thread

A little bit off topic, but does anybody have a good way to follow international law? Polish black metal band mgla issued some statement today that they intend to sue venues, publications, and/or individuals spreading defamatory statements about their alleged nazi and antisemitic associations. So it's similar to comicsgate in terms of litigious content than this, I guess, but I'm mostly pleased to see these types being made to answer legally for their nonsense.

With the band stuff a lot of it has to do with antifa specifically rather than just Tumblr weebs, but that's a topic for its own thread if the time is right.

It has to be a nice big fat slap in the face that everything Nick said turned out to be true, and on top of that, he just had to cough up an enormous amount of money and if his lawyer is honest, he told him he's probably going to lose much, much more if the whole thing goes to trial.

Oh man do you really think this soy filled beta narcissist has mentally admitted that the evil internet “blackface Lawyer” has been right about a single thing?

In one of his streams about it Nick suggested that an aggressive law firm could be filing lawsuits within a week - which obviously didn't happen, he also suggested ANN, io9 and Marzgurl as likely initial targets (alongside funimation, Jamie and Monica), which again hasn't been the case.

So whilst a lot of what Nick has said has been right some of his guesses haven't been - I think the KickVic side particularly fixed on "everyone being sued in a week" as the summary of what Nick was saying and obviously the lawsuit took a lot longer to get ready than that - so they may continue saying that Nick was wrong.

So, about a day ago, GhostShell went on a weird tangent about KickVic being mentally ill (stuff we already know) and talking about deplatforming people like Rackets (more stuff we already know).

What I found pretty cute however, was the Orca and Beaver's little responses.

EDIT: Shoutout to whoever that Ashley hoe is too.
Imagine being the type of person to unironically have "Fujoshi Princess" in your name

I'm starting to think YouTube heroes may not have been as bad of an idea as we initially thought. Now hear me out. These people would only be deleting comments unless they prove trustworthy and if they fail they get the boot but if they prove themselves they could have the job of handling flagged content and getting more false flagged and demonitized videos back to where they were before that. I don't trust Google to handle free labor well but maybe it could have been the steps to prevent all of this from happening. Put the power into the people in the right hands instead of the wrong hands.

Or just hire an assload of YT moderators that aren't complacent. But we all know Google wouldn't do anything like that.

Saw this tweet in a screenshot in the renfamous thread (credit @Urbanmech) but thought it needed to be archived here too. Jamie Marchi - who is being sued for defamation - TODAY (i.e. over a week after the suit was filed) saying there must be nothing wrong with anything she's said as twitter hasn't banned her - she literally believes in twitter law.

BTW is there a reason why Ms Marchi doesn't have a thread of her own?

Twitter law in a nutshell.

Real law is a different story.

"If I'm a criminal, then how come I'm not in jail yet?"

I'll take "arguments you should have considered before accusing Vic of sexual assault" for 1000, Alex.

I find this funny because Mike LaBrie is banning people on Kanzenshuu who "lack empathy for the victims," yet keeps KickVic supporters Terez and AnimeAjay as staff on the site.

Not surprising tbh. Most if not all of the spergs in Geekdom's circle came from kanzenshuu as they were either staff, regular contributors/posters or had some link to the site at some point. It's going to be filled with Kickvicers. Basically PULL but with a dragon ball paint job

1. Does Twitter police defamation ? Cos from what I've seen, no it does not.

2. Twitter's system is broken and quite obviously run by a majority of SJWs given how often they take down tweets and suspend accounts that don't conform to the standards of the left narrative. For every leftist they've suspended/banned, there have been 10s and hundreds of centrists and right wing members

Speaking of GhostShell, he now started some stupid shit with Emosh. He was spreading the rumour that KickVic was trying to take down the GoFundMe and Emosh told him to cool it down with the alarmism. He saw it as an attack to his credibility. Now everyone is panicking over "dividing teh weeb ranks, oh no"

We have to remember that this is still Twitter and it's filled with imbeciles on both sides.

That's what I started noticing quite a while ago, the YT peeps and the Twats on both sides started getting really stupid, speculative and cashmoney click-baity after a short amount of time, and it all turned into dick measuring contests. As soon as someone got called out on bullshit, immense backpedaling ensued. Credit to Emosh though, while not a personal fan of him, he does try and keep it real from what I've seen.

Big reason why I decided to just listen to mostly Rackets and become a degenerate here.

Just had a thought, what if that is their defense strategy? " Well twitter didn't suspend me/take it down so it must not be that bad" type of thing.

This is such a ridiculous arguement
I've seen so many idiots post pictures of their illegal drugs and the whole shoplifting community who are never banned, does that mean drugs and shoplifting are suddenly legal?
You can get away with ALOT on twitter as long as you don't misgender somebody.

I largely stick with Nick, Hero Hei, and TUG. They seem to have the most consistency, and cross most of the borders we're looking for.

YellowFlash is good, but he goes off the rails a bit at times. Now that he's the guy that MarzGurl is going to focus on, most of the attention for him will end up going that direction. And there's only so much of her you can talk about before it gets old.

SenpaiIsHome/SGSasami/SuperGirl are good folk, and I like them. But they're young and sometimes their immaturity shows through, especially with breaking news. It's why I can't really watch their streams. So I leave them behind. This GhostShellZen seems to be in their wheelhouse.

If that is their strategy, then the game has been won a long time ago. They're getting sued, by actual lawyers, they could be bankrupted indefinitely and still think they are in the right cause "muh twitter not banned".

And yet here we are tweeting on twitter whenever we want...just tweet, tweet, tweeting because we can.

Just because you can do something doesn't mean you should, you stupid cunt.

But by all means just keep that smug faux bravado going; dig that hole deeper. I'm sure tweet tweet tweeting will play to your favor in court. Fucking moron.

I respect your opinion and I agree on a lot of things. For me, I just can't stick with any of those people. They all focus too much on money and censor themselves to a ridiculous point if there's even a threat of demonetization, I can't take them seriously cause of that. YF is pretty obvious at this point. Senpai focused way too much on the thots and tried to monetize his drama over the blue thot. YT is just a side hobby for Rackets, he doesn't care that much if people fuck with his YT or Twitter.

EDIT: I'll talk shit about thots for free.
