Throwback to before he was totally pussy-whipped, he'd go to the theater and watch Marvel movies by himself.

It is in fact a lie. You can go read on her Twitter where she Tweeted about several different Marvel movies excitedly anticipating their release date, I think there were 2 she even Tweeted about going to see a second time in the theater because she liked them so much. I think it's one of those things where she has an association in her mind and now because they remind her of SubaruMan she pretends she hates them to avoid acknowledging to herself what a 'pissy bitch' she is, if even for just a moment.

Otherwise it's just a really weird lie to perpetuate. It's odd enough to pretend the narrative of 'I HATE them! He FORCED me to watch Marvel movies!', like she was somehow abused by her long-term boyfriend taking her on a movie-date. She's definitely not playing with a full deck, it's just another manifestation of her anger issues.

Edit: Like last summer Phil and Katherine watched Wonder Woman together as soon as it was available from whatever movie subscriptions they had. Phil just doesn't want to leave the Wakando, ever. It's probably something she's said one time and he's just going to reference it whenever he wants to end talk about why he won't go see a movie in the theater, so he doesn't have to address what a paranoid shut-in bitch he is.

To me it's part of the initial wave of Kat Shielding he'd use to excuse himself from any kind of normal social interaction. I'm sure most are aware of the way he spergs about comic book movies and the ways in which they choose to deviate from the source material. Sacrilege! Everyone knows he's a base level nerd who thinks he's some kind of guru on all things superhero mythology and it invites discussion from chat anytime another big popular comic book film is on the horizon. He ejects himself from the conversation using her all because he's a miserable bastard who has no enthusiasm for anything these days (aside from money of course) and if he doesn't have to leave Xanadu for a specific unblahckable purpose then he simply won't do so. He hates theatre prices (who doesn't but people want to have a good time) but will happily waste $60 at the drop of a gimmick cowboy hat on a game he knows he has zero interest in to fill dead air with slightly reanimated khantent. The comic book enthusiast with the desire for a certain action figure and why exactly did he want that figure? Because it was "valuable".

Kat doesn't like thing is just another excuse used to deflect from the fact he can't whip up any enthusiasm for anything culturally relevant in the now at all. And has no desire to share any of his behind the scenes passion (lol) with a bunch of plebs that he doesn't like/trust/want to be around and wouldn't if he was still in the golden age of wild west youtoob.

So he went to the movie theatre alone, probably at like 10 PM, a week after the movie released, just so he could watch Spiderman in an empty room with his bottle Gin and Juice, avoiding any possible social interaction.

That's one way to live your life I guess.

Tbh that is exactly how I would want to watch a new movie. Everyone else can fuck off I'm focusing.

About the statues maybe he's trying to clear space to rent the extra room

And risk renting the room to a detractor who'll kill him in his sleep, rape Kat to death, burn down his condo and defraud his parents into the poorhouse? He'd sooner get one of those office jobs for suckers!

He never shares his personal life to his fans because he doesn't see them as fans, only dollar amounts.

And his lack of passion in anything is a testament of the man he's slowly become. Back in his old YouTube days, I remember him making a Street Fighter related video talking about how low-tier characters have the ability to beat upper-tier characters if they put in more world and learn the match-up. In that video, there was a clear passion for SF, almost like he gave a shit about the game.

But years of self-imposed isolation have dulled his perception of the world. The internet is his only gateway to the outside and, according to Phil, the internet at large is full of people who are out to get him because he's a big YouTube celebrity and everyone else is a bunch of haters that want to kill him or some shit. Over the years, Phil has armed himself with a plethora of excuses that he can use as a way of avoiding outside contact and ensure that he has little to no true connection to any one person. He'll only ever truly care about someone or something if it effects his finances or his pride; His fans are nothing more than on-screen guides that he can use to make himself look good at games, his donators are just dollar amounts, his girlfriend is just a trophy with which he can show off in order to not look like a virgin to detractors, and his parents are just a last resort he can use to bail himself out of financial situations. Hell, look at the way he treats games! He treats a brand new $60 game like an office worker would treat his brand new pen. "Okay, I got it. Time to get to work". No enthusiasm whatsoever.

His only passions now are making money and inflating his ego. He's abandoned all attachments to people and the world around him, choosing instead to keep a small, tight-knit list of associates and people to make him richer or blow up the size of his e-penis. He's a shell of a man now, bereft of drive and enthusiasm for anything in his life other than bottom-of-the-barrel scraps from his fanboys, and that's no real way to live. Honestly, it's a wonder how he's not kissing the end of a shotgun, yet...

imagine renting a room and some fatalian snorts at you and asks you if you know a "tervin" and what your social media accounts are
then tells you that you aren't allowed to tell anyone that you live there
and you can hear him talk about how you "told him (not) to do X" or some shit everyday to random strangers on the internet

Were we talking about someone with actual pride, as opposed to someone just interested in protecting the most shallow aspects of his ego, I'd agree with you. But I think ultimately at the end of the day if Phil gets to keep rolling out of bed at 10:15 AM, scratching his unwashed balls and still hungover, keep the roof he has over his head with the barest minimum of effort possible and be able to buy more or less whatever he wants when he wants it, I really don't think he cares about anything else.

Stress stress stress. So stressful. Phil doesn't want to waste your time with what is causing the stress, but keeps repeating for 10 minutes that he's stressed.
It's apparently it's partially related to money problems. Which seems to mean that it's payment plans issues.

Whatever it is, we'll hear all about it soon before the next fundraiser.

DSP just gave a sneak peek into what might be [pure speculation]the next financial crisis[/pure speculation] arc.

He fired off a lengthy complaint about being "stressed out" because of stuff "going on behind the scenes" and asked if his viewers would go easy on him today. He told he just got off a 30-45 minute phonecall with "nobodies" that got him annoyed and stressed out, and mentioned it being one of the many setbacks that keep haunting him.

He didn't want to explain what it is, but it sounded a lot like money troubles again.

Got a clip rendering, will update the post when it's ready.

-edit- Behind the scenes stress:

Bank wasn't to keen on his plan to default on his ghetto condo? CC companies woudln't let a guy that earn over 100k/year to lower his payment? The impound took the horse?

As opposed to any other day? He doesn't even engage with them if he doesn't feel like it and there isn't a single thing they can do to or fail to do for him that he can't actively ignore.

"Guys I'm really having a rough day today so if you could just let me play video games in complete silence but still give me money I'd really appreciate it." Fuck off, pussy. Your hell is of your own design.

I am guessing that it has to be the Connecticut condo.

Phil said that part of the deal with his parents paying his taxes was he had to get rid of the condo. Phil stated that his plan was to tell them to fuck off and he's not paying. I don't think it went very smoothly.

And why did he have to throw in the jab that the people he talked to are know-nothings? If it was the mortgage company, I would assume the people kind of know how their business works. They loaned him money to buy a $130,000 tiny ass condo in the "ghetto" because Phil wanted to get into some girl's pants. They are going to want that money back and Phil has to pay. They aren't stupid, they just want their money back. Nobody cares about the YouTube adpocolypse, slow donations, Twitch bounty blacklisting, or tax evasion stories. They just want their money.

It seems like this problem would be a little less stressful if Phil just rented out the condo. But we all know all the idiot property management companies are too dense to do business over email and insist on making phone calls.

Now I've never been in a similar situation so I don't know what Phil can expect. If he stops paying, they will go after him I suspect. Will they garnish his wages? Go after his bank account? Take him to court? I don't know how this works, but I can't wait to see.

Behind the scenes BEHIND THE SCENES.

This is the realest mother fucker king of hate, transparent as fuck with people, who always seems to have some bullshit behind the scenes problems.

You broadcast playing video games to people for a living. Each time there was some behind the scenes problem it was about money. Just come out with it already and say you're shit with money management.

I love that his master plan is to do even less than the bare-ass minimum he's been doing. Instead of making payments he's just going to do absolutely nothing, then when it comes time to a-reap the whirlwind it'll be a biblical disaster caused by a confluence of events and circumstances far beyond the control of one man.

This is quintessential Phil. If any outsider was curious as to what this man is all about, this strategy is all you'd need to point to as a microcosm of every problem he's had in his adult life.
