I get your angle with that, but I'm gonna go with a hearty 'Nah'.

He didn't do his little e-meet-and-greet containing his famous, "I, myself, am a former pro fighting game player," line until he already had a substantial amount of traction on Youtube and felt it necessary to introduce himself. Even after that he was mostly uploading non-fighting game footage and that's not what he's ever really been known for.

It's a good thought, but the only thing it's ever really amounted to, in my opinion, is a meme when he pisses and moans about fighting games and looks like the scrub he is. Within the FGC he had been known as a shit-stirrer well before he got that hollow 'victory', so the only thing that really did was cement his standing as one.

I Wonder if anyone would be keen on making a stickied thread that gives just the final tip/cheer/sub count at the end of the day/night stream.

Unless someone has a spreadsheet thats got all the info. I know people do the end of the month count, but would be interesting maybe to see a day by day of it.

I have the day-by-day, but I generally prefer to keep it private for the sole reason that I know at least some of the paypigs probably come by here, and they may be more motivated to give if they know Phil's having an actual slow month. As it is now, Phil's insistence on being opaque hurts him sometimes. If you ever have questions about a specific day, however, please feel free to PM me. Tip counting usually lags behind since it's not automated, but cheers and subs are basically always up-to-date (barring losing internet connection, of course).

No, it's like Chris Chan winning the Sega sweepstake IMO. It certainly doesn't help, and you can trace a bunch back, but we would have ended up with the same people regardless, maybe with different interests, but nothing major.
