Oh I definitely agree that it probably wasn't nearly as bad as she made it out to be.

But I'm pretty sure Kyle listened & believe all the Kavanaugh stuff (or whoever the latest politician is to get raked over the coals) so I see no reason not to hang him by his own standards. (and if I'm mistaken, I will change this post)

idk i feel like her story is one of those where you flip the camera over and it's kyle trying to get this bitch outta his life and not letting her "leave her jacket", so to speak

i kinda doubt someone would deal with cops and going to the hospital if he actually had this blanket/could tolerate the chick inside his place. like, wouldn't you just let her look for it? unless you knew that she's crazy and didn't want that shit in your house. which would explain why cops were called quickly. and why the fuck is it kyle's job to babysit his ex-girlfriend in the hospital?

I agree. This sounds like a petty ex-girlfriend trying to pull a #MeToo. I mean, there's no reason to not let her get her shit and leave or get the cops involved, unless she's one of those Fatal Attraction bitches that can't take "Fuck off and leave me alone" for answer. However, I'm not going to cry tears for Kyle. He helped cultivate the stupid "Believe wahmen no matter what! Evidence is a tool of the Patriarchy!" witch hunt mentality, and those chickens are now coming home to roost.

People are capable of some real petty shit when they are that kind of asshole. Calling the cops on your girlfriend because she won't leave is a pretty bitch move, and throwing earrings at her from the window is fay as fuck. I also don't believe the cops would cart you away without a reason and Kyle either told them she was crazy or they were both blubbering wrecks. On the other hand, nothing in this is particularly damning. She's drastically overblowing this and is freaking out over relatively nothing. pro tip, if you don't want to get locked up, don't mutter 'don't lock me up' to yourself. She got PTSD from a basic psych eval. Spending a few days in an actual ward isn't that bad as long as you're not criminally insane. I don't believe for a second she's been freaking out about this for 5 fucking years, and if she is that's her fault more than Kyle's.

Given some of the details of her account (like how she has a longtime fear of being committed to an institution and thought that Kyle calling the police would lead to that), I'm not having much trouble believing that this is a crazy person that Kyle reasonably wanted out of his life. Did he proceed about this in the dumbest way possible? Pretty much. But I'm willing to believe that there's a history of crazy behavior that she's not disclosing. I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop on Kyle as much as anyone, but this isn't it.

Dude kicks crazy woman to the curb.
Crazy woman doesn't take "GTFO" for an answer.
Crazy woman tries to break in or convince the guy to let her back in.
Dude calls the cops.
Crazy woman freaks out.
Cries about how "I was just trying to get my stuff!"
Dude moves far, far away.
Crazy woman continues to cry years later, painting it as some sort of Ike and Tina story it never was.
