I posted that but I'm kinda thinking that there's a reckoning coming with regards to twitch bounties. Falls right in line with my notion that she works at a rescue center and probably ends up bonding with a bunch of animals while on break since she seems to have a fixation with them. If not it excuses the fact that they may well have had a cat for months already and Phil introduced the idea of a pet (which he shouldn't be able to afford going by his own fake ass lore u guize) to try and soften the blow when he gets called out on it. Because seriously who the fuck doesn't want a kitten given the choice between a cute little furball and a full grown tabby? It lets you hit the ground running in developing a bond with a pet that hasn't come into the house fully formed with a bunch of issues already in tow - DSP already let a cat like that into the house and look how that turned out he spent $200 on her wedding attire and fed her pizza as the celebratory real adult dinner.
Sure a rescue cat is obviously cheaper and I can see why someone would feel good about saving one from being euthanized but trying to juggle between DSP and Kat here and make excuses for them as usual it just makes it sound like Phil wins out. It's saving me money dood. I don't wanna hafta spend any energy, effort or time doing anything with a young and furry house invader just gimme an animal that's fullblown retarded from an abusive household and as lazy as me so that it won't do anything but sleep and hide all day while I wurk lol. Rescued Pets arent typically that bad. Some of you are making them sound like ferals off the street or something. Most rescues are full of cats of old ladies who died, people who moved and were assholes and didnt take their cat, baby kittens found in someones back yard, etc. Rescues typically dont take cats that are problematic like ferals because they have limited space and only take cats that are easy to place in a home.
I used to volunteet at a cat rescue and 99% of the cats were wonderful and ready to fit in a home immediately. There were some that were skiddish that we recommended go to houses without kids, but none were crazy street cats that were going to destroy your house and bite you, those sadly ended up being put down by the town.
I also firmly believe they have had this cat for months but dave didnt want to tell us when he was begging hard and saying they couldnt afford anything. I believe cat demanded one almost immediately and probably got it for an engagement present. i think i mentioned before, this is why they had kats friend stop at the house daily while away, to feed the cat. otherwise that is retarded, no one has someone check on their house daily while on a trip for a week without a pet.
btw, has anyone figured out the day he proposed to kat? it wouldnt be hard to find, it would be a day off in October or Novemember and dark would likely have been in a really good mood on the next day back. maybe even drop some hints, i am too lazy to go watch though. funny that he couldnt let that tut money burn a hole in his pocket, he had to spent immediately on crap like a ring.

Should be timestamped to 5:56. He very specifically is talking about the two marathons he held, from which he got ~$2500 in tip money. That's the same $2500 that was later revealed to have been used for "bills".
Ah yes, now I see what you mean. At first he says the money raised for the taxes (~$2500 from the beggathons) will completely go to the taxes, while later he says that people don't underdstand that he normally pays his bills from tips, so he had around $2000 left to put toward the taxes (so around $500 was spent on bills).
My god, this is making my head spin - no wonder he can't keep his stories straight. I'm sure all of these are half-truths to some extend, but it sounds like he's making up things on the fly, resulting in this really convoluted story that in the end doesn't add up.

Because he's desperate to maintain his "image" of being successful, and for as shitty as Phil is he has enough sense to not subject a child to being parented by two lolcows so a pet is the next best thing. Of course, like everything else, he's just hoping that his whales will continue to step up and fund this increasing-expense image for years to come.
I dont think this has anything to do with it. He is just too lazy to deal with a kid, and is too selfish to spend a cent of his "hard earned" cash to some kid. Plus he is going to take care of a kid, how does that benefit him? He probably weighs the extra amount he can beg vs the money spent and work required and decideds its not enough extra earned to be worth it.
