I'm sure there is stipulations and clauses in said contract that would allow toei to terminate it. Personally I would love to see another company get a shot at dragonball. But that's probably wishful thinking

We don't really know what it is. It's possible it's something as crude as they simply take out a new contract for every property, but I doubt that. They probably have some kind of contract laying out an extended relationship, probably terminable at will, but perhaps only upon certain conditions being met.

I would guess there's some contract period where it needs to be renewed periodically, but when? Every year? Every five years? A cozy relationship would have the renewal period being pretty long and more or less assuming that it wouldn't just be terminated willy-nilly.

I seriously doubt the relationship is all that cozy at present, though.

Funimation did renew their Dragon Ball license two years ago:

Could a settlement also include a public retraction? I'd figure that would be pretty important, given that these assholes destroyed his reputation so publicly.

Not sure that a court can force a public retraction, in the case that they lose. But losing would be public.
If I recall correctly Ty gave them a chance for retractions. They blew it by puffing themselves up on Twitter telling Ty to bring it and tripling down on their defamation and general fucktardery. The man's giving them what they want.

Toei and Funi have a contract for the license, and it's quite possible that said contract doesn't allow for Funi to simply just suddenly revoke the license on a whim without penalties. Maybe they are waiting for it to expire, at which point they will decline renewal offers from Funi.

Even if Toei could instantly pull the license, that presumably causes other problems. What about the DVDs that are currently in stores; would they instantly become bootlegs? Where would that leave Cartoon Network, who presumably have a subcontract with Funi to air the show; would they have to stop airing it and negotiate a new contract if and when Toei finds a new licensor?
There's 21 episodes left on the Funimation English dub for Super, so perhaps Toei is waiting until after the show is all dubbed and released on DVD before they start thinking about pulling the rug from under Funimation's feet. Doesn't help that the dub is over a year behind the Japanese version and everyone and their mother already watched it subbed. Episode 110 is only due to air next week, while in the Japanese version it came out in October of 2017.

The Dragon Ball Super license would be the new one and is particularly relevant to these cases, because the Broly movie is in that sub-franchise. Toei apparently specifically wanted Vic for Broly.

The conspirators, though, hated Vic and did their public character assassination literally on the eve of the Broly movie being released, probably causing incalculable damage to the brand and to that very movie, which despite its incredible success as a genre movie, probably would have done better without being clouded with SJW bullshit.

I just don't see Toei being okay with this shit at all, especially with guys like Chris Sabat pulling the strings on it. Shutting down his tour really strongly indicates they're very angry at him personally.

While looking for updates from Tupelo Con, I came across this sped:

His "professional" website's pic is, for lack of a better word, YIKES! Like c'mon dude, you're basically using this site as your resume, can you not invest in some decent looking headshots? Preferably ones where you don't look like you own a white van with "FREE CANDY" written on the side. :

Is Vic now limited to cons in the Deep South? That seems to be where a lot of these are. I'm just wondering because that probably goes to damages. Places apparently exist that will allow him as a guest, but for instance, is it likely he ever goes to San Diego Comic Con again under the current circumstances?
There are some outliers (island cons apparently lol), but I think it's fair to say that he's stuck in the south for now.
Under the current circumstances, I don't see him going to a con like SDCC.

Honestly though? He could win his case, get a retraction from everyone involved, and still might not be invited back to some of these SJW-ran cons. It's a sad reality, because you have to remember that there are people like Shane out there organizing these conventions.

No one has produced a source for this despite many people, me included, having asked for one.

This is a great point and I would really, really love a source for it. I have myself relied on this being a thing and realize I have absolutely no real factual basis for doing that.

Is this a meme or a real thing?

Apparently, Vic did have a Q&A session Tupelo Con.

Keep an eye out for video of it in the coming days.
That reminds me...were there no panels at Khamehacon? Last year's event had some, but no one has posted any from this year's (at least on here, haven't done a youtube search). Surely this year's event had some panels, and didn't consist solely of autographs and pictures, right?

Oh, and being a Mississippi native, I have been eyeing Vic's TupeloCon appearance for a while now. I have been kinda lookin' forward to all the "redneck/right-wing" and anti-Vic spergs but I have been extremely disappointed so far. (Although I am a few pages behind).

what oddly specific faggotry
I agree with Nick, weird post.
