Arin Hanson / Egoraptor / Grump - "Hey I'm Grump!" of Game Grumps fame, hypocritical SJW doxer, shat himself recording a let's play

I don't get why people like Dan, he's not funny and all he does is enable arin.

I think the soul-crushing thing is that not only is he running out of things to talk about, and is repeating his stories more often recently, but he could very easily have things to talk about if he actually gave a shit about the premise of his show: video games. I'm pretty sure Dan only ever plays them on the show, if he is ever playing them.

Like I hate to sound like a broken record: but I look at those Jon episodes of series like Link to the Past, and he & Arin are actually discussing and debating about the video game along with being funny, passing the controller off, etc. It's that kind of substantive conversation in between absurd, off-the-wall humor like in Fire Red that made the content engaging.

Now it's just: hey everyone, we're playing video game. Boy, we sure are playing video game. [[Insert funny voice here]]. Hey Dan, you wanna make out? Alright, next time on Game Grumps.

Without fail.

exactly, thats exactly how I see it.

I didn't watch GG when Jon was on, so I've only watched a few episodes of the before and after here and there. However its very clear how immediately downhill things went as soon as Jon left. In fact id go as far as saying that Jon was the lifeblood of the whole thing and arin was just the manbabby screaming dickjokes since the beginning.

I don't get Danny at all. his name is Danny sexbang but he just seems like a boring milquetoast guy who's only skill is trying to defuse awkward conversations and fill a 10 minute video for those sweet sweet youtube bux. I find it hard to believe there was ever a time when he was a good host, he's just less bad than arin is. I just feel bad for Danny like he's some random bystander that got pulled into his own personal hell

The crazy thing is: Arin didn't always portray himself as this incredibly "exceptional", pants-ruining, closet homosexual. When Jon was there, he was a wittier version of Arin's current palette of funny-man, which I can only assume he adopted from Jon. When Jon was there, Arin was the easily offended and bemused straight-man who reacted to Jon's antics.

I imagine that Arin has to turn himself up to 11 all the time, and take himself out of his previous comfort zone, to compensate for Danny's room temperature water brand of comedy.

This made me feel bad, just not enough to quell the laughter. I probably liked him at the time out of relating to his experiences. I think he could potentially fill a niche though of the bland, but chill dude who just has a different person on each day to shoot the shit. Its an immediate upgrade over GG in all ways except perhaps the most meaningful. $$$
He has a certain charisma to him; probably due to his chill/easy going nature.

Well, up until recently, anyway.
All of the GG co-hosts have the same experience..."It wasn't me." They said. "It was this place!" and you know what....They were right...

Dream Daddy is the Dive Kick of Virtual Novels. It could best be described as a meme game that was made for the lols, but all the wrong people took it seriously.

It feels like a play to make his "company" seem legit. Nevermind what they do, could be done by 10 people or less; then bring on temps or contractors when needed.

Amber - Don't know her, and nothing personal, but you don't need someone on staff to design merch, especially not at the prices they sell their shit at. Find a talented person, shoot off ideas, have them design, go with what you like, pay them for their work, and done. You can even recycle old designs from time to time, for those people who may have missed something the first time around.

Allie - Sorry girl, but a Social Media Manager for a "company" where the stars routinely interact on Twitter/Reddit/Etc, you're dead weight.

Matt/Ryan - If how hard it seems to be to get Arin into the studio to record shit, and how lax the workflow is; fight it out, winner stays (or Arin could help and do some fucking editing himself).

Lettie - A cleaner? Seriously? I'll write you a stellar fucking letter of praise, go put in with the Marriott or Hyatt or something.

Hanna - Producer's are generally seen as people who front money and expect a return... so what do you do?

Brent - Unless you're a pro tard wrangler (and word of Arin's unwillingness to work says otherwise), what do you manage exactly?

Vernon - There hasn't been anything that new or exciting, so, another position that can be temporary/contracted based on what they need at the time.

Stella/Jory/Josh/Leighton/Greg/C.Spike - The game is out, unless there's updates, DLC, or something else, move on. The people actually making the comics, eh, you can stay, for now. Kris can get a pass for being a stream tech, actually doing something useful.

Ike/Tyler - What are you guys writing, and does it really require two of you?

Megan - Who are you attending and for what purpose?

Andreas - Yeah, defend your position.

There, just cut their staff of 25 down to 8. I understand these people may be friends and what-not, but business and business, and when you start sinking, you need to lose weight.
Dive Kick was made to make a point. That you didnt need a fuckton of buttons to have a strategic fighting game.

I don't really see the strategy. It had all the depth of a game of slapsies.

I find it hard to believe there was ever a time when he was a good host, he's just less bad than arin is.

Dan used to be a good co-host; when he didn't have to walk on eggshells in order to avoid offending any of their hyper sensitive viewers/Arin (who seems to be hard core PC these days) and was more engaged with gameplay - actively taking the reigns every once in awhile and just having fun (retro games or not - Dan playing games were always more pleasant to watch when compared to Arin constant rage filled garbage).

Danny of the last year or so is I just feel bad for Danny like he's some random bystander that got pulled into his own personal hell

That's honestly what it feels like. If Dan didn't feel like he owed Arin everything (i.e. - giving Dan a job that not only allowed him to focus on NSP, but got him out of some serious medical debt), would he still be co-hosting at this point?

There was an upload back last Summer (sorry, can't recall which one; I'll see if I can dig t up for proper reference) where Arin talks about how he'd help friends out back in the day; friends who abused his generosity and then ditched him when they were done using him (this upload also included Dan saying how Arin helped him out when NSP was struggling). After listening to that exchange, all I could think was that if Dan ever decided he wanted to leave Grumps, he'd end up looking like yet another one of those 'user' friends from Arin's past.

This is why you should never go into business with friends - you put yourself into a position where your friend can easily lord details over your head to keep you in line and I honestly wouldn't be shocked if that's partially the case here.

Trey Parker and Matt Stone are also like that.

No. They were best friends in college and even lived together during the early years of South Park. They could have grown apart and remained more just professional about it. But a lot of their comments and how they bounce off of each other disproves that.

I'm referring to the more recent years of South Park where it seems they don't spend much time together anymore outside of doing the show. I could be wrong though.

Chris' response to a callout:

I wonder if Arin will publicly denounce him for this.

A loser with nothing better to do with her time than counting the few, pointless likes she's been notified of and being offended for ethnic groups she doesn't represent. Textbook virtue signaler, who was dumb enough to think two particular things: that, one, fans of Chris would give a shit, because he's right, they're just words and nobody cares, and two, that the "popular gaming youtuber" community is still big enough to warrant anyone of note giving this exceptional individual any credence to this cutesy little attempt at deplatforming someone. ": ' )" Maybe in 2015-16 at the peak of Youtube gaming would this have mattered even a little.

She's better off getting those internet brownie points by continuing to draw Arin fanart than trying this placated trash.

I wish more people would adopt Oney's scorched earth policy towards criticism. It's surprisingly refreshing.

I wish more fans would as well. Constructive criticism is integral to any medium, when it's constructive, but when we see shit like what Arin responded to, where the umbrage people take up with him is usually stocked in personal issues that should end in them to just stop watching instead of forcing the man to be as conscientious and harmless and comedically bland as possible.
