  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
Is there a TL;DR as to why these changes are happening? A product of the whole inner circle thing that the site is wanting to move away from?

Broadening appeal. The site can't grow if people think it's only about Chris.
 
There's still a bunch of stuff wrong with the new site that I'm not happy with.

1) The background is shit. There's also an old background that sometimes appears on shorter pages.
2) Some people have said it's too web 2.0, and I agree.
3) The footer doesn't stick to the bottom of the page. I had to hand-write the solution we have for the sonichu reduxxx theme.
4) The rules plugin doesn't work anymore for some stupid reason. (I wrote it, so my fault.)
5) I want to buy this add-on. A current bottleneck of our setup is an inability to get cool/funny/interesting stuff to the forefront of attention. A lot of good lolcows don't get spotlighted properly.

If'n Kiwi Farms is gonna be about lolcows in general instead of focusing on Chris, then may I suggest that Chris's boards be consolidated under the Lolcow category: the Discussion forum will be the default forum, with Updates and Sonichu forums being subforums.
 
The superzoomy top bar makes voting slightly more challenging on Firefox for Android than it does on kiwifarms.net skin. I need to zoom in to mash the correct button, which isn't a problem in general, unless that dang dirty top bar gets on the way.

...but other than that, it doesn't stop me from doing that and is more of an annoyance. Otherwise, it's bloody fine.
 
Our new logo is visible on the kiwifarms.net domain for both skins. Thanks to @Ronald Gaygun for helping me trace the PNG into vector format.

Yeah that is a problem. I don't know why it takes so much space up on mobile. I'll see if I can slim that.

Liking the new site so far, it's cool to see the site moving towards a firmer stance on only observing and not actively engaging.

I seem to have a problem with staying logged in when I first log in to the site; as soon as I move to another page on the site, I'll be automatically logged out. The only way to stay logged in is to visit a restricted forum (such as Off-Topic) and log in when I'm told I don't have permissions to view the page. It could be some odd bug on my end as it doesn't appear anyone else has reported problems.

If it helps I'm using Windows 8.1 with Chrome Version 39.0.2171.95 m.

I've not heard this before. Can you name what Chrome extensions you have?

Also, I've disabled sticky elements on the page. A lot of people don't like them. If you do miss them, let me know. I may make a second theme for Dark and Light that have these enabled.
 
I have a similar problem, though I've never tried that solution. Sometimes it takes three logins or so before I can click stuff without being logged out. Only Chrome extension I have is the screenshot one.

I'VE HAD THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM FOR WEEKS
