I'm sure Ty has told him any settlement of working with Funi again would be foolish because they could just fire him a week later and do it right this time so he cant sue them.

Unless all the grifters get removed from Funimation, I don't see him going back to them, but he can still save his rep with other companies.

It would have to be guaranteed and involve liquidated damages if they pull a stunt like that. Maybe Sony could arrange for one of their other arms to give him a multi-movie deal but can Sony itself be trusted? Maybe not.

God this Casey guy is already reminding me of the scummy shit lawyer from the first case in every Phoenix Wright game. So I guess in a way #KickVic are getting what they expected after all

This is why Vic should go to Toei themselves (or any of the main anime production companies, for that matter) for contracts to ensure some of the roles he had prior to Funimation cutting ties with him. If you are talking about multi-movie deals regarding Dragon Ball, Vic has to talk to Toei and 20th Century Fox (who owns the Dragon Ball movie distribution rights, thanks to Dragon Ball: Evolution). His role as Qrow in RWBY is gone unfortunately as that is solely Rooster Teeth's property.

I guess this is what it's like following an experienced and aggressive litigator like Ty. Nick just killing any hope and sign of brain activity PULL has remaining on his stream.

I find it funny how PULL and #Kickvic have always been two step behind since Ty and Nick stepped in. They have also been 0% accurate in their speculations since then because nobody has a brain on their side.

So with Casey declining the request to keep deposition information private, does that automatically mean that the discovery of everyone will be public info or is that still to be ruled on with this latest motion?

Ty's motion includes not allowing for deposition till the agreeing upon the keeping the super private stuff private.

Casey's motion from a couple of days ago was also seeking a protective order, so it looks like what they were hoping for was to get Vic's deposition done before one was in place and then keep the content of Monica and Ron's secret. A ballsy strategy, to say the least.

^^^ THIS

This is why I repeatedly say that whatever Vic gets from this should be money for life, it should cover his entire career possible earnings and he should be set, then at that point, if he gets work, great, if not then he has the judgement/settlement.

Ideally given a fantasy world, Vic would wind up owning funi with all licenses intact, but that is :optimistic: at best

Ironically, they'd immediately ban anyone who tried to tell them anything accurate about the law or what is likely to happen because it would be "white knighting" to introduce any reality into their pitiable little hugbox.

Having read the court documents, didn't Casey contradict himself in some of his own statements?

Ty says: "We can't do the 3rd and 4th for Monica/Ron. We'll pick other dates."
Casey "Ty agreed to do it after the 3rd or 4th."
Ty: "So, pick a date between may 15th and 29th."
Casey plugs his ears
Ty: "Okay then, may 15th it is."
Casey "May 15th? This is the first I've heard of any date for the 15th, we can't have it on the 15th. We have to depose Vic first because I said so."

Ty just filed a legitimate protective motion for that privacy, and actually cited case law and everything. So chances are it is going to be granted.
