Yeah, credit where it’s due, this is trans-related humour that’s actually funny in its own right, as opposed to the usual “Yes, this comic agrees with my opinions! I therefore find it funny!” punchlines that Labelle relies on. Plus it works with the characters used here, initially giving us Virgil apparently acting out-of-character, only to blindside us with the punchline.

It’s like once every thousand years, the stars align and Labelle actually listens to criticism.

They also destroyed "evidence" of UFOs and alien life.

Nobody mentions that, They're just assuming all the collected data was worthy and useful, that's like being agonized over CNN losing all it's broadcasts.

If it's a research data archive it's going to contain a ton of shit that wasn't viable, abandoned research projects, research that had no measurable conclusion, or lead to a dead end. A large part of research is junk data if you're looking at it as a whole. It's like Steam Greenlight, yes games have come from it but a good many were awful or left unfinished. That's what a research library is, it's everything unfiltered.
