I'm not sure the specific claim you are referring to, but I watched this video a few days ago and noticed there were a good amount of rando dudes who seemed excited to rush up and touch him. Were these groupies he was claiming to have men? Because I might believe that tbh

In one of the first SOK podcasts, they had a caller who was a former DSP fan. This was a guy who went to a con as a teen to meet Phil. He brought his father with him since he was still pretty young. He said he convinced his dad that Phil was a cool guy and a good person. He said that when they went up to Phil, he made a jackass of himself and was swearing and such. The guys father told the guy that he probably shouldn't watch Phil any more. This is how he interacts with fans.

If Phil and Leanna were almost immediately having problems as soon as they moved to Washington, this could debunk the "we didn't go to Leanna's brothers wedding because of trolls" narrative.

If she was still on their insurance, some of the bill would have been covered. The visit to the ER would likely be mostly covered, minus a copay and maybe a small portion that they'd get billed for later. The big extra bill would come from the ride in the meat wagon. Unless her parents have the top echelon of insurance coverage, that's gonna hurt the ol pocketbook. Some of those services charge $700-1,000 PER MILE. And because nobody can agree on a fair price for it, a significant portion will need to come out of pocket.

My ladyfriend, who DOES have excellent coverage through the county, got a $1,600~ bill for an ambulance ride last summer. Insurance covered about 70% of the total bill. That $1,600 was her portion.

If she was living somewhere else at the time and they were broken up during the hospital incident (May 15th I believe) why would Phil be asking "Are we still doing dinner tonight?" on May 18th (her last time on stream)?

This is all speculation, but my personal theory is that Phil has one or more personality disorders that lead him to manipulate people and think it is okay. Panda was done with Phil, but Phil was not done with her. In his mind he believed that if he kept paying for her phone and let her drive the BMW she would change her mind and stay. He also tried to manipulate her by giving her an engagement ring when he had no desire to marry her.

He could have used some "poor me" story to explain how he would die if she wasn't there to feed him and do his laundry. The trolls already took so much from Phil, now Leanna is going to stop making dinner? After a five year full time girlfriend legacy, this is how she treats him. I don't know why, but Leanna did as he asked for a while. Maybe Phil was already talking to Kat at this time and using her to try and make Leanna jealous. Eventually a family member, friend, or maybe even a mental health worker got Panda to realise Phil won't change and she needs to cut ties and get out.

Only once it was cemented that she was gone for good did Phil tell us. He then switched his manipulative tactics to say how happy he was that she was gone. He's finally free to stay up late and do whatever he wants. Fuck Leanna! Good riddance.

Who knows if any of this is correct? We do know Phil is a liar and manipulator. Hell, the whole debunk stream was an attempt to gaslight his new viewers.

This behavior won't likely improve. For example, he told the Space Needle story recently. He planned on a week of fun with Kat, but she got sick. This made Phil so upset that Kat ruined his week by daring to be ill, that Phil had no choice but to call strangers shills on Twitter. Phil was mad at his soul mate Kat for being sick. She got sick in December and Phil had her sleep on the couch downstairs so he wouldn't catch it. Leanna's hospital visit, using his sick parents to make money, waking sick Leanna up to cook his dinner. There is no compassion or sympathy in these stories.

Yeah I recall enough old vlahg videos of him out in public to confirm that Phil just sweats.. like a lot. I mean he's not Lee Evans on stage or anything but he definitely seems to visibly sweat more than almost everyone else around him. I think it may be a reaction to crowds and I guess in many of these clips (taken in humid convention halls pacled with people) it made some sense when he had eyes on him instead of just his camera. Like a DSP in headlights seems like a real thing when he's out in public.

The vast majority of fans were significantly younger than him too - which comes as little surprise to us today of course but he's surely #debunked the myth that he's a children's entertainer so many times since then. The best time he had at those meet and greets is anytime outside the actual meeting and greeting.. walking around vendor booths talking to himself on camera was Phil Burnell in his element. Dealing with fans face to face he had to deal with the reality of not really wanting to have anything to do with these people.. just their continued viewsviewsviews. By the end of some encounters he looked physically and mentally exhausted. Phil Burnell the voice of the common gamer and true peepul's champion.
