There's a theory right now that MoRon's lawyer may have filed for a deadline extension or contacted Ty about it. If so, that points ot their entire thing was to further defame Vic after the deposition while hiding behind their TCPA anti-SLAPP filing, rather than actually dealing with this lawsuit properly. More underhanded shit. Beind a lawyer is about gamesmanship and panache, but this is ambulance-chaser-level shit.

As far as I can tell, none of them--FUNI, Jamie, MoRon--filed a response. I could be wrong, and I believe they have until COB today to do so.

They have (had) until 10:00 a.m. CST.

According to TRCP 99(b) they have until "on or before 10:00 a.m. on the Monday next after the expiration of twenty days after the date of service thereof."

Fair enough. Civil litigation ain't my ballywick (I'm focusing on Constitutional law) and living in Massachusetts, our rules are different. Hell, a 'deadline' is more guidelines here, so long as you file by COB.

So that's their strategy, huh? I can imagine that Texas court doesn't enjoy having it's time wasted so magnificently. I know I wouldn't. They can only keep stalling and delaying for so long and every attempt they make at dragging it on further, the more it's gonna piss Ty off. We already seen a taste of his irritation with his sassy response to Casey's letter so if Ty was already annoyed with him, he must be fuming now.

Who wants to bet that MoRonica fired their Super Lawyer over the weekend, when he couldn’t deliver on the promise of never having to face deposition?

If this isn’t the case then what would be considered good cause to ignore the default and extend the deadline? Your Honor we were too busy trying to play games and trap the Plaintiff into an embarrassing one sided deposition, to use for greater defamation, to be bothered answering the actual primary case. Clearly this is the Plaintiff’s fault for filing so much evidence and examples of our bad behavior!

There's no way MoRon fired their lawyer. I think this might actually have to do with Marchi not responding in time or Casey missed the deadline just barely. It's gotta be legal stuff Nick is talking about though.

Honestly... they're either gonna have to say something similar to that, call Ty/Vic really quick for a Proposition of Settlement or admit they were lying. I really don't see any other path for them to go down.

Can we please get confirmation of this? If so, that announcement would fuckin' demolish PULL and the Extreme KV Supporters. They'll try not to show it on the surface, but considering how much of a snowflake those pieces of shit are... it would destroy them internally.
